Wow—Project Xerofitus is amazing! It’s not often I can say that a project has exceeded my expectations, but I can unequivocally say that in this case. From start to finish, Chris and his crew were incredible.

I reached out to Project Xerofitus to address our backyard. We were having drainage issues, and although we had grass back there, it was a muddy mess that was resulting in mud on our pool deck, lanai, and into our house. We also had an outdoor shower area that was never fully complete post construction…essentially an outdoor shower head that just sprayed water into the dirt.

Chris responded to my inquiry quickly, asked for a quick video of the area, and then arranged a time to meet with me to walk the area. Unlike many contractors, Chris followed up to confirm our appointment time and kept me updated with his arrival time—many people just keep you sitting around all day wondering when they will show up.

During our meeting, Chris had a number of helpful suggestions for an overall plan for the area. He suggested, leveling and regrading the area, artificial turf installation, and a small deck with drainage under the shower. Satisfied with the general plan, Chris told me he would get me an estimate soon, and he sent me the proposal the same evening. I was happy with the estimate, and thought it was very reasonable for the work involved. I completed a major landscaping renovation recently on our previous residence, so I had a good idea of what things would cost. Again, I found Chris’s estimate very reasonable and transparent. Chris also sent me some pictures of other work, so I would have an idea of what to expect.

After agreeing to move forward with the project, I asked Chris about using a more premium material (Ipe) for the shower decking. Chris gave me a revised estimate for the material change that was very fair. I also asked about future lighting, and once again I received a transparent, good price on the addition of lighting. To be clear, Chris understood we were working with a budget and didn’t push additional work at all—he simply provided the information so I could make an informed decision.

We ultimately decided to add the Ipe decking and lighting to the project because it was easier and cleaner to do it all at once. I am so glad we did because the project turned out beautifully.

Once I secured the project with a deposit, Chris got me on the schedule quickly. Once again, he stayed in close contact answering questions and confirming timelines.

The Project Xerofitus team showed up as scheduled and worked quickly and professionally to deliver an unbelievable result. Everything they did turned out fantastic…the turf, lighting, and the shower deck (this is particularly nice, and a lot went into making this look and function amazingly). Oh and I forgot to mention they relocated irrigation heads to accommodate the turf installation and ran some speaker cable for future outdoor speakers.

In summary, don’t waste time looking elsewhere if you have landscaping or outdoor design/project needs. Project Xerofitus is the way to go. I will definitely be calling on them to complete additional work in the future. The project added tremendous value to our home and makes it much more livable and enjoyable for our family.
