These guys run Cooper & Hunter brand and have horrible warranties and service. Same story as others. Spent money twice to have techs out to spend time on the phone with C&H tech....proved their compressor bad and still under warranty but they won't pay anything for labor/install...only parts. Ok, so free compressor but $1k+ for licensed HVAC to sweat, install and recharge. Not worth the money!
Buy Bosch, LG or other larger brands where the cover parts and labor on their warranties AND with their certified reps.... Don't buy here as you will be happy at first but then sad once it fails!!

luckily I was advised to change my old air conditioning system with Cooper&Hunter minisplits and they completely changed the comfort in all environments.
they don't make any noise, they seem to be turned off, but instead they cool quickly and save me a lot of money at the end of the year.
I recommend them to everyone!

HVAC Technician here. Provided the customer support with the system serial number. Was not advised by the customer support group that the system was still under warranty.
Was pointed out what parts needed to be purchased for the system to begin working properly again by Tech Support. Purchased the parts and found out the system was actually under warranty. Attempted to call back, show that the system still had a warranty, and get reimbursement for failure to tell YOUR CUSTOMER that the warranty was valid.
I was told, “Sales are Final”, which was also not communicated when purchasing the parts.
In conclusion, piss poor service from the customer support group, non-supportive when it comes to claiming faulty parts under THEIR WARRANTY, however great help from the Technical Support group.
Will never recommend this equipment again. Not the first time I’ve worked on C&H equiptment where parts have failed within the first year with proper installation. You can’t sell faulty equipment and then completely avoid giving customers the proper parts under the warranty you provide.

Edit: It seems that I’m not the only one who has had experiences with this company failing to provide their customers with parts under warranty and making them pay for shipping and parts also. If that isn’t a red flag to not purchase this equipment, I don’t know what is.

Beware!!! They sell products without the necessary approvals for installation in Florida. If you plan to buy there, check beforehand, but be careful because they will tell you that the products are approved.

I’m very disappointed with my recent experience. Despite providing clear, accurate results from a licensed HVAC company using advanced, industry-standard leak detection technology, I was told that only a soap and bubble test—an outdated and less reliable method—would be accepted.

This refusal to acknowledge modern, proven testing methods is not only frustrating but raises serious concerns about the company’s willingness to stand behind its warranty. In today’s industry, we should expect and demand better.

I hope to see a shift toward more professional, tech-forward practices and a resolution that reflects fairness and accountability.

ABSOLUTELY , WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH. Pedro Ortiz is who I was dealing with today. I had a unit installed two months ago , and it has never got up and running. The installer has tried on multiple occasions to let the technician talk him through fixing it.But was unable to. The installer was put in contact with someone named david via email trying to\nCoordinate a time when the installer could be at my house.And david could talk him through getting my heat running. The installer showed me the email , where he has reached out multiple times david has never even responded. Fast forward until today and I reached out to the installer.To get the contact information myself because it's going to be below 20° this week and it becomes a safety issue to not have the heat that I paid THOUSANDS for 2 months ago. We're not called today.Mr. Ortiz was extremely disrespectful.Basically told me there's nothing he can do and literally hung up on me. Basically told me to contact my lawyer , it's not his problem. If you work hard for your money and expect to get what you pay for I would avoid this place.

I have been unable to get Optimal Air to pay an invoice for service we provided on May 25, 2023. They do not answer the phone or respond to my emails.

I was really fortunate to be referred to Optimal Air LLC. I've owned my home for 24 years and have been churned and burned by a variety of mediocre air conditioning companies. I now will not use anyone else. I've never had such confidence in a company and in the quality of service and the level of expertise that Optimal Air LLC provides.

My first encounter with Optimal Air was on July 10, 2021, in an emergent situation. There was a hole in my roof that workers hired by my homeowner's association did not repair but rather, stapled siding over, without applying grout. Of course, there was a violent rainstorm with sideways rain a few hours later, causing water to infiltrate the newly painted walls in my stairway and loft as I was in the process of remodeling my home. Optimal Air's technician, Efrain, responded to my call quickly and immediately went up into my attic, into an extremely small, hot space, to search for and take photos and video of the hole. I cannot even imagine how hot it must have been up there, and yet, Efrain came down and went back up a total of three times, for over an hour. The photos and video that Efrain took guided and enabled the corrective and mold remediation work that followed. Efrain and Optimal Air LLC saved my home. It's that simple.

This past March, my 10 year old air conditioner and heater failed. Optimal Air sent a team of three technicians to target areas of concern and evaluate the units to determine if they could repair the existing unit. When they determined that they could not, Optimal Air presented the options available to me and when we agreed upon the best option, installed a complete York 3.5 Ton 16 Seer split system replacement - a new air handler, condensing unit and thermostat, with a new reusable air conditioning filter. The condensing unit has a five year warranty but I'm not worried. I know that Optimal Air only installs the best, and stands behind the units that they install and the work that they perform. The price was fair and I actually had to ask for the invoice for the balance, which I happily paid immediately upon receipt.

The technicians that Optimal Air employs are skilled, well trained, intelligent, neatly dressed, and articulate, and are able to communicate technical information in a manner that is palatable and ensures the customer's full and complete understanding. And then there's Sebastian, your point of contact when everyone else is out in the field. It is a truly well run company.
