Reviews of local pros in Ellenton, Florida

Unequivocally impressed with the job Illuminate Landscape just completed at our home. The pictures say it all. After 3 years in Florida dealing with various contractors (home, pool, lanai, landscaping), I had given up finding a company that was professional, reliable, honest, and timely. Fritz and his team were all these and more. Would highly recommend using them.

Had a great experience with Illuminate Landscape Designs. Great communication, great pricing, and very friendly. They showed up on time and ready to get to work. All the issues were completed ahead of schedule and look amazing. Thank you

Fitz, Kim and the team did a wonderful job with accent lighting and sound for our home. Our neighbors were so impressed they hired them too! Customer service is outstanding with all questions -post-installation being promptly answered. Highly recommend!!!

Absolutely Transformed Our Home! Stellar Work & Service!
I rarely leave reviews, but the team at Illuminate Landscape Designs completely exceeded every expectation we had for our new outdoor lighting. The front of our house has been absolutely transformed, moving from dull and dark to dramatic, welcoming, and truly luxurious.
From start to finish, the experience was top-tier. The guys who worked on the installation were fantastic—they were professional, incredibly skilled, and took genuine pride in their work. They arrived on time, worked efficiently, and made sure every single fixture was perfectly angled and hidden to achieve the intended effect.
The end result is nothing short of AWESOME. They didn't just install lights; they created a lighting design masterpiece. They managed to perfectly highlight our architectural features, landscaping, and pathway, giving our house incredible curb appeal after dark.
If you want a company that delivers flawless execution, great service, and a stunning, high-impact final product, look no further. Hire these guys—you will not regret it! Five stars isn't enough.

We are so happy with the lighting they installed! They came out and gave us a quote and it only took a day to install! We get tons of compliments from our family and friends! We enjoyed working with them and found them to have the highest integrity! They did what they said they would do! Thank you Illuminate for adding light in our lanai and path to the boat dock!! We highly recommend them!!

We’ve now used Illuminate Landscape Design and Lighting for two projects — first for our lanai lighting and later for outdoor landscape lighting — and both experiences were outstanding!

The owner and his team are professional, punctual, courteous, and communicate often and clearly throughout the entire process. They arrived exactly when they said they would, kept the work area clean, and made the whole experience easy and stress-free.

The lighting looks fantastic, and we couldn’t be happier with the results. They even corrected an issue left unresolved by another company for months and fixed it on the first try. The staff was comfortable to work with, and it’s clear the owners take pride in their work and follow up to ensure everything is done right.

We absolutely love our outdoor lighting and have no hesitation recommending them to anyone looking for quality landscape lighting and reliable service.

We had an amazing experience with lluminate Landscape Designs! They installed lighting on our pool cage and it completely transformed the space. The lighting looks incredible at night and we constantly get compliments from friends and neighbors on how great it turned out.

What really stood out was their responsiveness and customer service. Even months after installation, when we had a minor issue, they were quick to respond and took care of it without hesitation. It’s rare to find a company that stands behind their work like that.

Highly recommend lluminate Landscape Designs if you’re looking to upgrade your outdoor lighting!

Illuminate Landscape Designs installed an outdoor landscape lighting project a couple years ago. We were so impressed with the quality of their products and of their team, we asked them for a proposal for a complete lighting system for our new pool/lanai and backyard which was just completed. Their work is meticulous and their follow through is excellent. We are super satisfied and recommend their services!

Absolutely love my lights! Everyone was very efficient and professional. The owner Fitz explained everything to me and even helped me with my Smart Living App. He made sure I understood everything. I highly recommended Illuminate Landscape Design for your lighting needs.

I had an excellent experience working with Illuminate Landscape Design. From the initial consultation through execution, their team demonstrated creativity, attention to detail, and a clear understanding of both aesthetics and functionality.
What stood out most was their ability to truly listen, translate ideas into a cohesive design, and execute with precision. The communication throughout the process was clear and proactive, and timelines were respected. The end result elevated the entire property and created a space that feels intentional, polished, and well-balanced.
If you’re looking for a landscape team that combines vision, professionalism, and quality workmanship, I highly recommend Illuminate Landscape Design.

I purchased a low voltage lighting system for the front of my home and also one for the back, pool cage areaa little over a year ago .The lighting looks great and we were thrilled with the install, but that's not why I am writing the review today.
About a week ago, I noticed the lights on the pool cage were not working. I checked the breaker, I checked to see it a wire might have been cut-- couldn't find the cause on my own.
I still had Fitz phone # so I texted him, told him it was not urgent, but I needed a service call.
He replied ( on a Sunday) and had me check a few things, and asked if we had changed WiFi password. We didn't,but did have a new router and modem put in last week. He suspected I need to reprogram the smart plug.
Fitz send me instructions on how to do it, I completed that and the lights worked great last night. Thank you Fitz!
Great customer service!! Thank you Illuminate Landscape Designs. You are the best.

Fitz and his team did a great job. They told their time to make sure everything was done neat and correct. They followed up to verify everything turned out exactly as I expected. We happy with the results.

The work they did was very good. The thing that kept them from 5 starts was that they didn't start the permitting process early enough. Because we didn't have an approved building permit, we were 3 weeks late getting started which delayed other projects.

A family-owned company that treat you like family! They listen, assess, and perform top notch work. My go-to construction company.
