We hired Samuel Fleisher and the Urban Group in March 2017 to rescue us from a two and a half year nightmare at the hands of one of South Florida’s many incompetent and unscrupulous so called contractors. Samuel found a project which needed an indeterminate amount of remediation before he even could begin the daunting job of finishing the project to the five star level we expected.

Samuel, a trained engineer, objectively assessed the state of the project and provided us with a realistic project plan and estimate, which would allow him to provide us with the home that would meet our high expectations. While there were some unexpected land mines left by the prior builder, and some other surprises along the way, Samuel and his partner, Mariano Isman (a trained architect) tackled each challenge with professionalism and provided creative and practical solutions to keep the job moving forward. Urban has an excellent in house staff of skilled craftsmen, and a team of loyal and responsive subcontractors, all of whom provided a finished product at the highest level.

My wife and I were demanding clients, having been conditioned by our previous horrifying experience. But, in the end Samuel and Mariano provided us with the high end dream house we originally conceived, and our original nightmare has become to become a fuzzy memory. And best all, we now feel that we can count both Samuel and Mariano among our friends and know they will continue to stand by their work. We recommend Samuel, Mariano, and The Urban Group without qualification.

A great working experience with this team - true pros, easy to work with and real partners in a business where that is truly rare to find. We worked with the Urban Group team since 2015 on a particularly complicated remodel/restoration of a Miami Beach mid-century-modern home. They were picked after a careful vetting process of approximately 15 contractors. They were very close in scope and pricing as the other finalist firm but were very professional in how they addressed the scope of work and respected that I wanted to source most materials and such. They have been a true pleasure to work with in a project that had many ups and downs, we always knew we could count on them to do what they said they would do and to provide honest, timely and quality work. I highly recommend this team and would readily hire them again.

We have enjoyed working with all of their staff. All of us hear horror stories of friends’ renovation projects and we’re happy to report that our project went smoothly in regards to whatever was in Urban Contractors control.
We began our project just after the Surfside tragedy, during the 2nd year of the pandemic, during the supply chain shortage, and while all 3 elevators were being replaced in our building. In spite of all those issues, everyone smiled, showed up on time, and did their job.

I am a designer who represented a client on. a full condo remodel by Urban Group from planning and permitting, demo down to the studs,and all the way to completion. Working with Sam, his assistant Sabrina, the project manager Keyberling, and all the various crews they brought to the project was a very good experience. H-18 is amazing! They were my design built firm for my new construction project. Even though permitting took longer than expected they made sure to adjust their schedule to accommodate the new start date which was very critical to me. The project is ongoing and pending completion. So far communication and transparency has been great. I recommend h-18 and I will post an update when the project is complete. Scheduled about 4 companies to come by and quote me on my home extension. Among all, Dekel was the most professional. He gave me a meticulous break down on cost, material, labor, and timing. In regards to all of that, he was not off. The quality of the work is spectacular and I feel as though nothing was renovated in my home. Everything looks blended in as if the new addition always existed. I look forward to having him do my roof next. Thank you H-18 and thank you Dekel.

Wasted our time on two different occasions.

We requested an estimator to come quote us on a home renovation. The first appointment we were told the gentleman in which we were to meet with had a flat tire on the highway (plausible and understandable). H18 was supposed to call us back to reschedule but did not. We called them for the reschedule. The guy was supposed to be to the house today, but again didn’t make it within the specified time.

DO NOT move your schedule around to accommodate this company. You will be let down.
Highly unprofessional company. They lost us as potential customers.
