Great service and really clean job

I was totally satisfied with the electricians at Flowtron Electric in connection with an electrical project to replace an entire circuit board. It required permitting, parts acquisition, interaction with Florida Power and Light and coordination of many schedules to get the job done. I was impressed with their persistence in dealing with FPL but most impressed with the electrical technician, who solved every unforseeable issue and who completed the job on time and on budget. I would not heistate to recommend flowtron Electric, especially miguel, for any electrical problem. I give them my highest rating.

Flowtron Electric - PLEASE BE AWARE.

I hate to post a bad review since I know it affects the business but in this case I have to, I have to warn others.

I contacted Flowtron Electric and asked them for a quote on the installation of my EV charger. They provided a very competitive quote so I went ahead and hired them. They came to my house and installed the charger, however when I tried to use the charger the device was not working, showing a red light and an error message. I immediately contacted them, they basically ignored the issue and sent me an invoice and demanded immediate payment. The said and I quote “Understand that if that charger works or doesn’t is not our problem we issued you a service and we are requesting our part of the bargain. regardless of the charger working or not. Im sure is a program issued which we are not liable for”.

I told them that the right thing to do is to comeback and fix the issue and of course that I will be paying for their services but the job needed to be completed before I can issue the payment. They insisted that they knew what they were doing, that they have installed multiple chargers over the years (they also tried to blame me because I did not provided the manual, which I did, and regardless the installation manual is available online. They also tried to excuse themselves by saying that the box was opened when they got there. The charger was brand new, it came with the car).

They went ahead and threatened me with filing a mechanical lien against me. Important to highlight that not even 24 or 48 has passed and they were ignoring the issues, negating any responsibility, blaming me and now looking to intimidate me with a lien and potential additional compensation.

Meanwhile I was trying to reach the manufacturer to understand what was happening. Well, it turns that they did not connected the cable to the main control board of the charger. I sent them multiple pictures and videos, even photos of the manual and messages from the manufacturer. After multiple calls and messages they agreed to comeback and fix the issue. They apologized, “fixed” the issue and as promised I issued the payment.

If you think we are done, well we are not done yet. The charger started working but it never quite reached its full capacity, nevertheless I did not think too much of it and kept using it. A few months later the charger started giving me problems again, I truly thought it was the charger. I called the manufacturer again and they sent one of their technicians/installers to replace the charger.

When they opened the electric panel it turns that the installation was not done properly. One cable basically came loose as soon as the new technitian touched it and the tip of the cable was burned. He explained that the prior installers used the wrong breaker, the wrong cables and the wrong conduit. That I basically needed to redo the whole installation.

I called Flowtron Electric again and explained what I just heard. I sent them pictures, I even sent them a voice note with the electrician explaining the issue. They once again proceeded to negate any responsibility, affirmed that they did their job correctly, blamed me or implied that many things could have happened after their installation and that the other tech was just trying to “up-sale” me. They asked me “what do you want? What do you think is fair?”. I told them to please comeback and correct the installation, at this point this is a safety issue. They told me that they will talk about it and then basically disappeared.

I went online took a screenshot of the installation guide showing them that the new technitian was right and that their installation was just wrong. I called them and explained this over the phone too, they told me they would look at it. Nothing, no text no calls.

I sent a final message, called to try to explain and find a resolution and again nothing….

Now I have to pay for the installation again to correct their work and make sure it is safe.

I WOULD definitely NOT recommend hiring this company.

Heguel did an excellent job, quickly identifying the cause of our electrical issue and implementing a safe and effective fix. He was both courteous and professional. We appreciate him giving us a detailed explanation of the work done as well as kindly answering all of our questions.

This company is hands down the best electrical company I have ever hired. I had a main breaker that went bad and would not work so I called flowtron electric. The owner explained what needed to be done, gave us a quote and was there the next day (Saturday) at nine in the morning ready to go. New outdoor electrical box, breakers, wires, and ground rods, all nicely installed. He was there all day and extremely professional. He explained every step and his work was flawless. Flowtron electric is without a doubt what an electrical service company should be. My wife and I were very pleased with their quote and work and they are now always recommended by us when someone is in need.
