Well where do I start... moved in to a condo I purchased & received a call saying the previous owner had 1 more AC service call & that this service carried over with the purchase of the condo. So, they came & raked in $1,200 worth of work from me. I didn’t know any better due to my inexperience of ownership & AC units. So, I let it go & chalked it up as a new homeowner. They came again because the $ I spent went to a new service contact. That visit my husband told them to leave bc they where telling us that we needed a new unit for the small condo & it was going to set us back $9,000!!! People it’s only a1,200 sq ft place. We had different quotes from $3,500 to &6,000. So yes they where trying to scam us. Also could you please send another slim ball technician out again.,. NO THANKS! I had called a company on July 4 th because it had stopped working on the holiday even though I still had them as a service contact...they didn’t answer on the holiday. This great guy showed up from a different company looking clean, & had fixed my motor.. & get this he had never heard of Action! He also told me that my unit was fine & that I didn’t need a new 1. Hum.. get that? So anyway I supposedly still have a contact with these fools & they keep calling to do a service & to be honest with everyone, I don’t want these guys near my machine! Knowing them they would be the service guy that tells me I’m low on freon bc they let some out & it needs to be replaced. Not happy, get a second opinion bc people there are a ton of AC providers that are honest.

I purchase my new A/C system from Action Cooling Heating over a year ago when the one that I had was about to fail. The installation went very well. They came when promised and the job took the amount of time they estimated. Since the installation, I have had 2 maintenance visits where the techs checked my system and cleaned what needed to be cleaned. I had on service call when I lost power to the thermostat. I tried what I could to resolve it and then broke down and called. It was user error in that the overflow valve got knocked by accident and this created a built in failsafe to the system. The tech came out adjusted it and blew out my water discharge and I was not charged for the call. I have only had great experiences with the company and the techs that have come out.

If I could review and leave a negative rating number I would. This company tried scamming us and fortunately we did not fall for it. They said we needed a lot of work that upon a second opinion confirmed our suspicion in fact we did not. Action claimed our unit was leaking freon but it was cooling fine before they showed up for a maintenance agreement service. Guess what? There was no leak. Even had the guts to threaten the air was toxic if we didn't pay to have a UV bulb replaced right away because it was bad. The other AC company showed us it was just turned off! Then they wrote on the service order we should get new duct work in the house although it had just all been replaced the year before! Stay away! There are many reputable companies out there but this is not one of them.
