I had a back flow leak and called 3 times and talked to receptionist who referred me to the repair department. I left a message 3 times and never got a call back. I finally gave up and called another company that came out the next day and repaired my water leak at the back flow controls. LaPensee has lost a customer.

For my business and personal property I use Lapensee all the time. Great picture below of why. My 4 year old son was fascinated with a shower fix at my personal residence. The Lapensee technician was patient with my son and even paused for a picture while he dressed up in his fireman's costume for a photo. The details make a big difference. Thanks Lapensee! Oh yah, of course the shower is fixed!

We have never been disappointed with LaPensee. They are always on time and are very knowledgeable and polite. We just had our water heater replaced. Tommy Petley was our technician and he was great! He explained everything, showed us the problems with our old heater and gave us a tutorial of our new heater. I will definitely ask for him the next time we are in need of services from LaPensee.

Extremely frustrated with the lack of communication and follow-up from your company. I’ve been trying to have someone acknowledge my complaint since January and haven’t received a phone call back after multiple emails and voicemails left for the office manager. I paid for a service and replacement parts that were never installed. Hoping someone from your company see this and calls to resolve this issue.

Jimmy from LaPensee has done work for us three times. Most recently he moved a whole house water filter system from a condo we were renting to the house we just bought. He's had to be very creative to figure out how to do the installations and we are very happy with his attitude, his knowledge and attention to detail. Their pricing is good and reasonable and he actually helped me decide to not replace my water heater to save some money! Excellent worker and excellent company in our experience. Thanks again for a great job.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE - We were charged almost $550 for a problem that was INCORRECTLY DIAGNOSED AND NEVER FIXED.

We asked the billing manager to adjust our bill. We should not have been charged $487.50 for labor that was ineffective. LaPensee cabled 48 feet down when the problem was simply a disconnected pipe. Another company found the problem and fixed it easily and promptly.

The billing manager did not correspond with us or return phone calls. Instead she chose to turn clients who had been working with their business for over 20 years over to collections.

LaPensee is a 10 star performer. plumbing maintence & pool service for my 20 years of ownership. they are experts. they are fair and reliable and pleasant.
most recently (after Helene and before Milton) i broke a water valve disconnecting a flooded washing machine. out early next am (day before Milton) and fixed pronto!

LaPensee Plumbing and Pools are fantastic! George Babcock, in particular, is one of the most reliable people I’ve worked with in an industry that too often lacks consistency. He is responsive, professional, and always follows through, which gives me complete peace of mind. This is an amazing company to work with and they do very high quality work been using them for years. Most recently, LaPensee installed a new back flow prevention system because the old one kept failing inspection and they made the process super easy with permits, scheduling and communication. Absolutely love the way it looks too, which is an odd thing to say about a backflow prevention device.

George Babcock is the best! He is prompt, professional and aways pleasant to work with. He takes great care of our pool!

George gas been cleaning my pool for a while now and I couldnt be more pleased with his work and professionalism. Trust me I have tried other pool cleaning companies and he is by far the most assertive and knowledgeable.

George the pool guy, has been doing a good job on our pool for a long time, His maintenance suggestions have been accurate, and the waterline tiles are always clean when I’m on his list.

This is a local business, so we contracted them in April 2025 for our pool maintenance...and boy was that a BIG MISTAKE!!! I can't say that the pool condition was top notch, but we could at least use it. We have had other pool cleaning services that have worked in the past, so giving our "local company" at try seemed ok (until it wasn't). They charged us a $200 clean up fee and $175/mo. I saw them come twice (not saying that they didn't come more often) and only once I saw a guy taking a sample from the pool for testing right before they left and didn't adjust the chemicals, so I thought everything was good. However, the pool started to take a green coloration a few days after. I had to put algaecide because the algae was growing fast, but it got cleared up with the chemical. They came again after it was all cleared up, and a couple days later the pool's starting to turn green again, so I did another treatment. After this, I emailed Holly W. with a picture of the pool turning green and never even got a reply. On an email exchange with a LaPensee rep., she said that they recommended to fully drain and refill the pool, since they could not adjust the chemicals. This was very odd, because we had drained/refilled the pool in December due to storm damage. Fast forward to 6/3/2025, another treatment was needed for the algae making us think that the chemicals were not properly adjusted. We took a water sample to Pinch a Penny on 6/4/2025, and free and total chlorine were virtually absent. They sold us the algaecide and chlorine and CASE SOLVED!!! Pool looks pristine again, and not thanks to LaPensee. Moral of the story: DO NOT use this company for their pool maintenance if you have other options or if you can do it yourself. They are unresponsive to complaints (as I see other instances in the reviews) and will attempt to deflect when you try to find a solution. As for the other services they provide, I am not including them on this review.

We have used LaPensee numerous times. Their reputation was (still is?) they were responsive, reliable, but the most expensive. Our last experience was two weekends ago. Clogged kitchen sinks that needed a long snake (urgent but not an emergency). When I called at 3:00 pm on Saturday, they implied the on call plumber would call me back ASAP. Ultimately, I had to call LaPensee every hour (from 4:00 - 10:00 pm) to make sure I had not missed their call back and that they were still aware of my need for a plumber with a long snake. By 10:00 pm on Saturday night, my last call, they were still advising me they would recontact the on call plumber (implying that plumber may call me back during the middle of the night). I advised I would have to wait until the next morning to have the work done as we would not want to disturb our neighbors and that I could no longer stay awake. After my calling back at 7 am on Sunday, I finally received a call back around 8 am on Sunday, even though I was told two extra on call plumbers had been called the day before as well as a manager. Horrible Customer Service. So much for responsiveness and reliability. Ultimately on Sunday they lived up to their reputation for being the most expensive. I have waited two weeks before posting this review so I was not driven by my emotions. Also, on Monday morning, I did go into headquarters and spoke to the head of service so I could advise him of our negative experience. I advised him that I would eventually post my review and share my experience with my development, many of whose residents use LaPensee. Needless to say, LaPensee will be the last call I will make to get urgent service moving forward.

We had plumbing issue in our job but the problem is parts needs to be ordered and it will take a while for it to be fixed. Roxanne who help me over the phone was really amazing. She was so patient and went above to help us out. She never failed to communicate to us and even seek for an alternative while waiting for the parts. Roxanne deserved to be commended for this. She made us and the resident so happy. I hope the company has more employees like this who are so willing and hospitable to help their clients. I will definitely recommend Lapenske because of this experience with Roxanne.

I called to have someone come and take a look because our water pressure was weak. The plumber came out and spent not even 10 minutes at my home and just turned a knob to turn off the water softener and told me to call that company. I was charged almost 200.00 for that. I feel I was completely over charged and nothing was fixed. I am very disappointed. I was charged without any service being conducted.

The plumber came the first time and tried to fix the issue. After he left we continued to have the same problem. I complained to the company and within a couple of hours a senior supervisor and a technician came and spent two hours working on the issue. They were able to fix the problem finally and did not charge an additional fee. I am pleased that the company stood up for their work and resolved the problem. Still expensive but the work was completed successfully.

Excellent from the beginning to the end. They added and setup my natural gas line so I could add a quick connect (for generator). I had a question after they left about removing the temporary pipe, they were very helpful. Very professional and happy to answer my questions.

Great customer service and very responsive! Jason, our pool guy, is amazing. We love how conscientious he is about the look and performance of our pool. Jason is the best!
