The men at First Florida Landscape & Design did a wonderful job for us redesigning our koi pond. John, Mike, Mark, Brian, and Bret are a good team. We felt grateful that they could find time to do our job. Very creative ideas.

From the first call I was totally satisfied with this business. John arrived promptly at a designated day and time. We showed him what we had for a yard and what we wanted to do. He did some measuring and suggesting and gave us an estimate. Which was accurate. No added surprises.
He and Rolo and Mike arrived the next day . They transformed my yard from a Hot Mess to Beautiful!

Absolutely first rate all the way from start to finish. John and his guys did a wonderful job transforming an ugly backyard into a beautiful livable area. We have had numerous compliments from people kayaking and boating past. I highly recommend John, Florida First Landscaping, for doing great work and all the guys were hard working and pleasant to work with. Could not be happier!

It's hard to imagine finding a better landscape and design service than Florida First. Their expertise and skill in all aspects of the project are unsurpassed in my experience. They constantly go above and beyond not only delivering five stars plus on what you asked for but helping in so many other ways to transform your landscape and to assist you in keeping it that way. John and his team are professional, punctual, friendly, hardworking and very courteous. They really take their time to understand what you want and help you make better decisions. They specialize in low and no-maintenance local plants perfect for this area. They recommended a number of other professionals to help us with things like irrigation and tree trimming all of whom turned out to be excellent themselves. Their pricing is very reasonable, far below the value they provide. I can't recommend them highly enough.

Wanted to add a water feature to our backyard. John visited and had a concept immediately. The work included two patio areas on either side of a backyard stream connected by a small bridge. The work was completed quickly, and professionally. The crew was friendly and hard working. But beyond the technical--our backyard has been transformed into the peaceful, tranquil retreat I always wanted. I have a place to read beside a babbling brook, an outdoor eating area that is beautiful and as an added bonus, our dog, Bear, loves to lay in the stream to cool off on these hot Florida days

I highly recommend Florida Landscaping. I had them redo the planting around our home and add a very long hedge on the street front after they completed the water feature and I will call on them again

Great job by John and his crew. I had a small job on an addition to a drive way. John came out priced the job and fit me in to his busy schedule. We started with a concept – to build a privacy barrier in our front yard. John and his crew came over and immediately saw the vision and developed a design. Once the guys began the project, we requested some modifications and within minutes, John was on the phone calling for the plants that he wanted to fill that request. To sum it up, this landscaping project and the team are nothing short of AMAZING. The final design is a work of art!

Bret, John and their team did an amazing makeover on our landscape. They really listened to us as we described what we had in mind, and then made great suggestions to make it even better. They were flexible and let us make some adjustments as the project was underway. They were prompt and professional, and cleaned everything up perfectly. They also did a few extras, at no cost, that we didn't even ask for... filling in some holes from gophers and erosion and overseeing them with rye. It is so nice to meet great people who enjoy what they do and take such pride in their work. These guys will be our "go-to" for any future landscaping projects, that's for sure!

Florida First Landscape and Design transformed my dull and lifeless backyard into a place of elegance and beauty! Bret and his amazing crew created a masterpiece of a patio, fire pit and seating wall with pillars to make a gathering space for family and friends! Added to this amazing craftsmanship, they landscaped the backyard as well. They demonstrated professionalism, care and knowledge as well as provided great communication. We highly recommend their work to anyone who wants to beautify their home!

We have a little yard on our newly purchased vacation home and although we love our new little house, the yard was horrible and had seen many, many years of neglect. We started with some very unsightly, overgrown shrubs, and some random, neglected bushes in front of our house. John came by in a very timely manner after I first called him and listened to what we wanted and made very inciteful suggestions. John is extremely knowledgeable about plants and knew which ones would be best for low maintenance while still providing a much needed update to the curb appeal of our yard.

We then set up a date that worked with our back and forth travel schedule to have all of the work done. John and his guys showed up when they said they would and completely transformed the front yard of our little house. HIs crew is professional, knowledgeable and hard working. They happily answered my many questions.

Bret and his crew just finished a landscape project in the front and back yard of our new home. My husband and I couldn’t be more delighted. We felt this project was a great collaboration . Bret listened to what We wanted, made excellent suggestions and worked within our budget. The result was outstanding! We couldn’t be more pleased. We don’t easily give five star reviews unless We think it’s really deserved and Florida First Landscape and Design deserves five stars. We’re happy we hired Florida First and look forward to working with them again for our next project.

My yard was just upgraded my Florida First and their were exceptional crew, with John and Bret supervising the job. My yard has a fresh new look and the lighting is outstanding. My pride and joy is the beautiful paved walkway leading to our bird baths and birdfeeders. I asked John to provide a walkway large enough to permit walkers and wheelchairs to move comfortably to the back yard. He made a special effort to contact the Americans with Disabilities Act to determine the width required. The crew, Mark, Mike, and Brian, where are most accommodating And polite. They worked steadily in the heat and cleaned up everything before they left. They listen to my needs and provided ample access to get to the birdbath and feeders. Florida First did a wonderful job and I recommend them highly.

Very knowledgeable & dependable. I Am very happy with the results. This is my second project with Bret and his crew. 1/9/19. He helped me to create a Xeriscape design for my front yard and the results were stunning. The design is beautiful and the workmanship superb! We also added Lighting which was a perfect finishing touch. Great people to work with and they will be doing my next project.

Wish we could give more than 5 stars. The entire crew at Florida First was extremely nice, professional, and paid extreme attention to detail. Bret and John planned out the landscaping and worked right along with their crew. Brian, Mike, and Mark worked very hard in extreme heat and never cut corners or did anything that wasn't as close to perfect as possible. We had a retaining wall built, paving stones placed all around the house and Bret worked hard with my wife Colette and I to select the proper plants for our area and design. We give Florida First Landscape and Design our very highest recommendation and deepest thanks for a job well done.
