I called John and in a few days he was out looking over my property. He gave me some ideas of what he wanted to do and after discussing with my wife. He began the work. He understood we wanted to do more later and he was very excited to get us started. He added a fish pond and a walkway for us. Both are exceptional. I was expecting something basic and they went all out. John is a true artist and Mike is a Master at his profession. They both were easy to work with and helped us get a better ideas what we could do in the future. Also my dog Oliver loved them. So that helped.

Working with John and Mike have been an amazing experience. Always on time, very courteous and very patient. They understood the type of design I was looking for and made it a breeze to pick the right plants. John even took me to pick my tree. They went above and beyond to ensure I was happy with the design.
I do have to thank them for their patience with me. I will work with John and Mike for all my next projects!!!!! The Best in Citrus County!!!!

Just recently, I had John and his crew complete a landscape project to satisfy my HOA landscaping requirements.
I found out along the way that when obstacles attempted to derail the project in time and in cost, John and his crew were right there with the solutions to keep things moving smoothly and on schedule.
Don't get stuck with a landscaping company who claims to know everything and only creates problems down the road.

We were bored with our landscaping. John and his crew came out and made it look awesome! They're nice and they do good work,!

We had a 22’x28’ stone patio and retaining wall installed along with 15 privacy bushes and there Sylvester palms. The team did a fantastic, meticulous, expertly executed job. John gave perfect guidance from understanding what our goals were and devised a plan. The entire team’s (Mike, Wade and Patrick) specialties is how the job pulled through with great success. John’s guidance on which planting to choose and had access to for our soil, temperatures etc. was perfect. Will hiring them again with future projects.

John is a very nice guy. But several poor decisions were made. First of all price started at 5k and I was blind sided at the end when the final price was $8700. That really wouldn’t have bothered me if things were done right. I know it was a lot of work. My main complaint, HOW CAN YOU NOT PUT DOWN WEED BLOCKER?? He said it was because I was trying to save money. That’s a joke. I assumed that was going to be done. No brainer. If it would’ve been explained to me that it would have cost an extra $1000 or whatever I would have definitely said yes because after a few months the whole perimeter of the house was overridden with weeds. As you can see about half of the bushes also died. I was told I should have watered them daily but I thought he explained to me that his first goal was low maintenance. The picture of the mulch beds smaller is where they made the new mulch bed a lot smaller but decided to leave the old weed blocker down. So the grass never grew back in properly. I just ripped it all up. I just wish there would have been better communication. Make sure you know exactly what you are paying for. I have to now redo half the work myself. John said he would replace the dead bushes and I never saw him again.

I asked Florida First to update my landscape here in Homosassa after the hard winter and many plants dead and damaged. John, Mike and Patrick were just great to work with. They presented charming ideas within my budget. They cleaned up every day and left me with clear instructions for plant care. 5 stars!

I hired Florida First about 4 months ago to put in a five level waterfall in my backyard- it has been the talk of the neighborhood and a wonderful addition. Since then we have done several other projects- all done perfectly and in an outstanding manner. The crew lead by John is unmatched. They are cooperative, hardworking and professional in every sense. I would/will hire them
again and recommend them highly. My only regret is that i had another 5 projects to give them. They are simply the best!!!
