LawnStarter connected me with Jon who has done my lawn 2 times now. Jon has done great work so far and he is very fairly priced. He was also very nice and kind when I walked out to introduce myself to him. Would recommend this service and Jon as well

Don't ever use this company. They cut my grass too low so now it burns with the Florida heat. They said they edged but it was either a lie or a very bad job. They did not pick up the clippings. When I called to get them to rectify this matter they never showed up. Then they charged my card for the initial service and a for me requesting to CANCEL/CLOSE this account. The customer service was horrible and they keep trying to get me to allow them to correct this service after I had already allowed them 4 weeks from the initial screw up.
I still have not received my credit from this issue. If I could give them a less than 1 star I would.

This company has it ALL! Had them for a long while now and I never had any complaints really. You can stay on top of your schedule when you want it done or not, pause and skip. Extra services like bush trimming, power washing and weed control! My fav app for those that need help cleaning up. Thank you!

My lawn was starting to look like a jungle, but Charles and his crew got to work and the results were very impressive. It's been a while since my lawn looked this good. They'll be my go-to service for excellent lawn care in the future. Five stars and thanks for a great job.

I don't recommend this company at all. You're required to pay for 3 services before you can cancel your lawn service. The service I received was horrible. The one thing I mainly needed was the edge of my lawn done. That was why I booked them since edging was in their tasks they do. Never got done. When I went to customer service about it they said the person would be out the next day. Never showed up. The mow itself was subpar. When I went to try and cancel it through customer service again it's a constant loop of we can reschedule it for a later date but we can't cancel it. Save yourself the $112.54 of the 3 mandatory lawn services as well as the headache and go somewhere else.

The concept for the company is great. The downfall is that you don't know who is coming and we've struggled with people doing a good job and actually doing the proper lawn boundaries. When we find a good person i hope they will continue to come. Communication could be better. I have referred others to this app.

Wow! Do not use these guys you will get the cheapest service ever. The “lawn pro” was a day late and when he did show up he busted the main water line to my house with his weed walker. While my yard got flooded he said not my problem and took off. At least he sent a message say hey broke your pipe be back next week to mow… you would assume that customer service would understand the urgency but no they said everything needs to be handled by the property damage dept which only interacts through email. Then they said they could call the lawn pro to come fix the problem! lol yeah the guy who busted the pipe and left the scene. I again stressed the urgency of the situation to which they said that I need to handle it myself and after an investigation they will reimburse me…$865 later I’m still waiting on a check…or an email back even…

I am thankful to have LawnStarter. William from Castros lawn and hauling did a great job on my yard. He was professional and polite and most importantly he took his time with his work I can definitely see that he takes pride in his work. Will definitely be utilizing this service

Nathaniel Bonsell always does a great job on my lawn. He always comes every 2 weeks like he is supposed to. It’s normally the same time. I have had issues in the past from others that show up when they want and not when I want my lawn mowed. I would highly recommend him!

Makenly did an outstanding job with our lawn care! They were extremely professional, arriving on time and completing both the weeding and mowing quickly and efficiently. The yard looked immaculate afterward, and their attention to detail really stood out. Highly recommend them for reliable, top-quality service—great communication and a team that truly cares about customer satisfaction! They exceeded expectations and transformed our yard beautifully. Will definitely hire them again for future work!

This company is deplorable. I've been trying to get in contact with this company since late September about the damage they've done to my neighbors fence. They will not take responsibility even though the damages were caught on camera and just put me on hold for long amounts of time because they recognize my number when I call. This is disgusting behavior from this company and I will take legal action if need be. Please beware of ever using this company for your yard work needs.

Lawn Starter Lawn Care Service, helped me taking care of my yard. I used a few people to do the job. Ashley recently had done a great job. I don't really have to talk with her, she knows what to do and she does a great job for me and my family. I highly recommend LawnStatter, they are very professional and work with you to meet your needs. Great company and great people to work with.

I would not recommend this company to take care of your lawn. We re-scheduled and they agreed to the reschedule but they did not show up. Only to send us a message the next day that they can’t come in ‘yesterday’. They rescheduled this time and did not show up again. We canceled our 2 remaining contract with them because they’re very unreliable.

The first two times I had my lawn mowed, it all went very well, and I was pleased. Every time since then, they have rescheduled and rescheduled, switched me to at least six different companies, and they still don't show up. I guess they have too many customers to handle. I would not recommend them at all, especially in the Jacksonville, FL area. I have gotten text messages for the last four days that they were coming, and then they no-showed with a text message the next day that they are coming that day. Incidentally, there was no inclement weather, which is the reason that the company gave to Lawnstarter regarding their latest two no-shows. So glad to be firing this company and going with someone that actually shows up when they say they will. This is a great company, unless of course, you actually want someone to come and mow your lawn.

I've learned that this company contract lawn providers in the area. You're taking a gamble on quality service as we know all lawn care businesses aren't top notch. The one assigned to my property caused damage, with a $980 bill to repair it. I filed a damage to property claim. We'll see how the company handles my claim and I can give a more thorough review.

So here's an update. You have 5 days after the damage done to the property to file a claim. If not you WILL NOT be reimbursed. If your willing to take a chance on a company that may not operate with integrity go right ahead. I had my services canceled.

I would never use this company again. I signed up for every 2 week mowing for my elderly mother and this has been a nightmare! I was told they would be out to mow somewhere between Friday and Monday. Every day they text and said they would be out. Friday no show, Saturday no show, Sunday no show, Monday no show, Tuesday no show, Wednesday no show, and Thursday no show. They used inclement weather as an excuse even though it didn't rain until late afternoon. When they did mow the first and only time, they left clumps of grass all over the yard so it wasn't great the one time they came. On the phone every night with them and their excuses. Save yourself lots of time and use someone else!!!!!!

I never leave reviews but this is so bad I am compelled. Lawnstarter completely butchered my lawn, to the point that I now have to spend THOUSANDS replacing ALL of the sod in my front yard. Contractor came to my house every week and mowed my grass down to the dirt (I was NOT on weekly service). The entire lawn is ruined and lawnstarter refuses to even respond. The best they have done to “rectify” this is by refunding for the $$ the charged me when their contractor came weekly even when asked repeatedly not to. And all they have to say for the contractor was that he doesn’t know how to use the app so he didn’t know. I have been trying to get in contact with a property damage supervisor for over a month at this point and she will not return my call no matter how many messages I email or leave with customer service. This is completely unacceptable. Unless you want your property destroyed do not use this lawn service!! The pictures I am including are what I am now left with. And believe it even when the contractor got it looking to this point he still came by and “mowed” this again, even after service had been cancelled!!! Do not do this to yourself. Pay more for a better service and don’t let this happen to you!

UPDATE: Made contact with the person who responded below. Person has never contacted me back. This company has horrendous customer service. This person responded to appear as if they were going to correct this situation. NOTHING has been corrected nor has anyone from their customer service even been in contact with me verbally. This has gone on for months with no resolution.

I'm currently looking for a new servicer because this one apparently can't do the job. My first "pro" did an extremely lackluster job: poor mowing, never weed eating/trimming (which is supposedly included in the service), and never showed up when he was supposed to. Now, my second "pro" never shows up at all and will not respond to messages. It has been 3 weeks since my grass was last mowed and the only message I get is "Sorry, couldn't come, I'm coming tomorrow" but tomorrow apparently never comes. Once I find a new servicer, I'm dropping this one like a hot potato! Terrible!

Update: I cancelled my service, and to do so, I had to confirm four or five separate times before being told I had to pay a $15 cancellation fee to “compensate my pro”! I would’ve gladly paid the regular service price to compensate him if he would’ve ever showed up, but now I had to pay $15 just to leave the platform!

I can't say enough good things about Leland and his crew! They consistently provide top-notch lawn service that goes above and beyond. Fast, efficient, and incredibly convenient, their work is always impeccable. Leland and his team are excellent communicators and keep me informed every step of the way, which I really appreciate. If you're looking for the best in the business, I highly recommend using their lawn service. You won’t be disappointed!
