The first technician who arrived a few years ago was VERY informative and customer-friendly, went above my expectations! I'm not sure what happened to him ever since; the last service was ok, but the technician requested me to remove the water that dripped in the pan with towels, which was very difficult for my bad knees; I removed as much water as possible, but left the rest, hoping that it will eventually evaporate; I stated to him the previous technician used a water removal machine when the older unit leaked, and I didnt get a response; other than the last service, I am satisfied with the services I received previously; the next time my unit leaks water into the pan, I will make sure to inform the office of my condition, but technicians need to consider being prepared for physically challenged customers

I had been very pleased with past service from Marco and the technician. My last service was the latter part of January 2025 and should have been scheduled for July 2025. I called Marco and had to schedule. They said technician would be at my house between 8am and 12pm on September 11. He didn’t arrive until 3pm. He was only here for about 15 minutes and didn’t even change the filter.

A/C gave out on Sunday, hot day in August. Tech was here the next day, Monday. Turned out a part broke in a 2-YEAR OLD CARRIER SYSTEM, WHICH COST $6,000 2 YEARS AGO. Tech told us the part had to be ordered, didn't know how long it would take. It so happened that we had family visiting. We sweltered Monday night into Tuesday. I called Marco Tuesday morning. Fortunately, Misty at Marco took the initiative and called Carrier. Turned out Marco had a part in stock that would work. Tech got here 2 pm Tues afternoon, by which time the inside temp was 89F. The tech fixed the issue. Part was free, but the labor and Freon weren't --- to the tune of $600. Overall, Marco was responsive, thanks to Misty. It's hard to blame Marco for this nightmare, on the other hand, they're the ones who chose Carrier as the manufacturer of our A/C system. So although Carrier is directly responsible for a shoddy product, and costing me $600 unnecessarily, Marco, as their dealer/representative, is indirectly responsible.

I had a terrible experience with this AC company. My AC stopped working on last
Sunday, and they told me the compressor was broken and needed to be replaced. Since it was under warranty, they said the compressor would be free, but the labor would cost a whopping $1800. On top of that, they didn’t even have the part in stock and couldn’t tell me when it would arrive. Instead, they tried to pressure me into replacing the entire outdoor unit for $2400, claiming it was ready to go.

The technician made it seem like I had no other choice, creating a sense of urgency because they "didn't know when the part would come in." Feeling uneasy, I decided to get a second opinion. Another company came out, had the part on hand, and fixed the issue by Monday morning for only $700!

Do yourself a favor and always get a second quote. This company seemed more interested in upselling and overcharging than providing honest service. They’ll try to take advantage of your situation and rip you off.

I would give negative stars if it were possible. When my brand new house was built, 1 of the 2 HVAC lines terminated in my wall. After water draining in the wall for 6 months, the water started draining into my pantry and office. The tech who showed up door a poor job of angling the pvc out...he either didn't have a 90 degree elbow or was to lazy to do it.

2 weeks later marco heating na fair returns to make the exterior drain "up to code". Looks like the tech again didn't have the write supplies. Looks like a 3rd grader did the work. Can you tell which one was the repair?

I wouldn't use them but didn't have a choice. This is who DR Horton uses and it's under warranty.

Scheduled Marco's ‘special AC cleaning maintenance' on a Marco installed Seer Carrier Heat Pump Unit last September, explaining no rush for service as my AC is good. Their Rep, John W arrived, commented “Nice to come into a cold home for a change”. Shortly after John W left I discovered my AC suddenly stopped working!

Called Marco office and someone named Erica told me no one could come for several days. When I pressed for quicker return to my home as temps were in the 90's, Erica asked: "Do you want me to call another homeowner - who has had an appointment for 2 weeks - and tell them we can't make their appointment today because you think you should have someone come out today?"

My response to Erica: "Actually, yes. That is exactly what I think you should do, because clearly - if that other homeowner has had an appointment for 2 weeks, they have A/C and can be delayed. My AC worked fine UNTIL Marco Rep came out for a basic cleaning. I need my AC RESTORED to pre-Marco!"

Erica finally relented and said she could send someone the next day! For – get this – a PAID REPAIR SERVICE CALL and the amount would be determined by the Marco Rep at the time of the call!

Marco’s way of doing business is sketchy!
Completes a routine cleaning maintenance appointment, leaving the homeowner suddenly without A/C - and then CHARGES them to repair in order to restore their A/C!

Needless to say, Marco didn’t restore my AC and I had to pay someone else to restore it. That Rep showed me what had been DONE to my AC that resulted in my AC stopping to function. That Rep gave me a reduced service charge because 'they hate seeing people taken advantage of'.

2 weeks ago I called to make an appointment for maintenance. The lady I spoke to told me that Marco Air's Maintenance does not include the filters anymore. We have had the maintenance plan for 2 years. She said that you could get a discount on the filters if you purchase them 15% of the price. I agreed. She said she would provide them when the maintenance guy comes to the house. The tech came yesterday without the filters and had no idea about bringing the filters and he didn't fix the leak. My air handler is still leaking. The tech last year who came to unblock the system and he recommended that we use a special tablet once monthly to clean the drain line clear. This tech who came yesterday said he didn't recommend these tablets. He said to use bleach instead. How can one company have technicians that disagree with each other on how to keep your air clean?

I've been a customer for over 8 years on a semi-annual maintenance plan. I had a recent service visit for AC not cooling. The tech told me that the compressor had failed and suggested replacing the whole system initially at a cost of over $8,800 or minimally to replace the compressor at a cost of $3,000. Upon getting service from Lickety Split and a second opinion they: got my system cooling within about 20 minutes or less, diagnosed that my compressor was working fine and showed me proof, found that Marco never registered my system (limiting my warranty from 10 to 5 years), found that the Marco tech left the breaker switch out of the panel thereby causing the unit to not run, recommended actual replacements that would extend the life of my system.

It's apparent that either the tech is inept, incompetent, a swindler, or all 3. This is unconscionable and downright nefarious. Needless to say I'm firing Marco and won't ever do business with them again or recommend them. In fact I strongly suggest to anyone else to steer clear of them.
