I would not recommend this company to take care of your lawn. We re-scheduled and they agreed to the reschedule but they did not show up. Only to send us a message the next day that they can’t come in ‘yesterday’. They rescheduled this time and did not show up again. We canceled our 2 remaining contract with them because they’re very unreliable.

The first two times I had my lawn mowed, it all went very well, and I was pleased. Every time since then, they have rescheduled and rescheduled, switched me to at least six different companies, and they still don't show up. I guess they have too many customers to handle. I would not recommend them at all, especially in the Jacksonville, FL area. I have gotten text messages for the last four days that they were coming, and then they no-showed with a text message the next day that they are coming that day. Incidentally, there was no inclement weather, which is the reason that the company gave to Lawnstarter regarding their latest two no-shows. So glad to be firing this company and going with someone that actually shows up when they say they will. This is a great company, unless of course, you actually want someone to come and mow your lawn.

I've learned that this company contract lawn providers in the area. You're taking a gamble on quality service as we know all lawn care businesses aren't top notch. The one assigned to my property caused damage, with a $980 bill to repair it. I filed a damage to property claim. We'll see how the company handles my claim and I can give a more thorough review.

So here's an update. You have 5 days after the damage done to the property to file a claim. If not you WILL NOT be reimbursed. If your willing to take a chance on a company that may not operate with integrity go right ahead. I had my services canceled.

I would never use this company again. I signed up for every 2 week mowing for my elderly mother and this has been a nightmare! I was told they would be out to mow somewhere between Friday and Monday. Every day they text and said they would be out. Friday no show, Saturday no show, Sunday no show, Monday no show, Tuesday no show, Wednesday no show, and Thursday no show. They used inclement weather as an excuse even though it didn't rain until late afternoon. When they did mow the first and only time, they left clumps of grass all over the yard so it wasn't great the one time they came. On the phone every night with them and their excuses. Save yourself lots of time and use someone else!!!!!!

I never leave reviews but this is so bad I am compelled. Lawnstarter completely butchered my lawn, to the point that I now have to spend THOUSANDS replacing ALL of the sod in my front yard. Contractor came to my house every week and mowed my grass down to the dirt (I was NOT on weekly service). The entire lawn is ruined and lawnstarter refuses to even respond. The best they have done to “rectify” this is by refunding for the $$ the charged me when their contractor came weekly even when asked repeatedly not to. And all they have to say for the contractor was that he doesn’t know how to use the app so he didn’t know. I have been trying to get in contact with a property damage supervisor for over a month at this point and she will not return my call no matter how many messages I email or leave with customer service. This is completely unacceptable. Unless you want your property destroyed do not use this lawn service!! The pictures I am including are what I am now left with. And believe it even when the contractor got it looking to this point he still came by and “mowed” this again, even after service had been cancelled!!! Do not do this to yourself. Pay more for a better service and don’t let this happen to you!

UPDATE: Made contact with the person who responded below. Person has never contacted me back. This company has horrendous customer service. This person responded to appear as if they were going to correct this situation. NOTHING has been corrected nor has anyone from their customer service even been in contact with me verbally. This has gone on for months with no resolution.

I'm currently looking for a new servicer because this one apparently can't do the job. My first "pro" did an extremely lackluster job: poor mowing, never weed eating/trimming (which is supposedly included in the service), and never showed up when he was supposed to. Now, my second "pro" never shows up at all and will not respond to messages. It has been 3 weeks since my grass was last mowed and the only message I get is "Sorry, couldn't come, I'm coming tomorrow" but tomorrow apparently never comes. Once I find a new servicer, I'm dropping this one like a hot potato! Terrible!

Update: I cancelled my service, and to do so, I had to confirm four or five separate times before being told I had to pay a $15 cancellation fee to “compensate my pro”! I would’ve gladly paid the regular service price to compensate him if he would’ve ever showed up, but now I had to pay $15 just to leave the platform!

I can't say enough good things about Leland and his crew! They consistently provide top-notch lawn service that goes above and beyond. Fast, efficient, and incredibly convenient, their work is always impeccable. Leland and his team are excellent communicators and keep me informed every step of the way, which I really appreciate. If you're looking for the best in the business, I highly recommend using their lawn service. You won’t be disappointed!

I hired this lawn crew to cut my grass and they did an excellent job! They were fast, efficient, and professional. The lawn looks great, and they left everything neat and clean. I really appreciate how quickly they got it done without cutting corners. Highly recommend them if you need reliable lawn care!

Wow where do I begin lol. Got my lawn cut twice but then went through 4 reschedules, 2 skipped cuts, and 2 cancelations... 30 days later with waist high grass, I found another company to landscape. Problem with LawnStarter - when they can't come on your scheduled day, they push you back a whole week to reschedule. If there is a chance of rain that day - canceled. There is no sense or urgency to prioritize lawns that have gone longer without cuts. Used their app to communicate with my "pro" they do not respond to messages. It's been an aggravating experience.

Horrible service. They obliged me to sign a minimum of 3 cuts for my lawn. They even asked my preferred time. I told them AM. First cut was rescheduled on their behalf. I was charged double for tall grass. Ok. But they came 2 days later in the morning as requested. One month later .. still waiting. Called constantly and it’s a headache. Spoke to Joe, Winston, Jess, ect. They all apologize and told us someone will be there before sundown. 24 hours later I call again Then Jess tells me another two days. This is ridiculous. They can’t even maintain their own end of the contract. I live in an HOA (FINES) I could have mowed my own lawn. EMBARRASSED

Chris did our lawn service. He did a very good job. My service was cancelled because the LawnStarter services could not "find a provider". I don't know what happened to Chris, but I did re-book based on Chris' performance. I hope Devan will keep the standard Chris has set.

I have been using lawn starter lawn care service for several months now!! Damon leaves my beach house property looking amazing every time he services my lawn. I am very satisfied with the work that he does and would recommend him to anyone! He does an amazing job!! I give him 5 stars every time.

If I could I would give them no stars, this company is the worst too ever use. No Communication, lack of pro’s that actually want too work. We’ve used them for two months & already have had 13 pros?? Then when your schedule too get your yard mowed count that out, I’ve never had one person come too me that day of service. We waited 1 week & 3 days for a pro we had 3 total in that time because they refused too do my yard, but they were the ones that canceled every time. Run it better.

I am so unimpressed which is a big bummer. With my spouse deployed and 3 small children at home I was really hoping to off load one chore. They are so highly recommended on Nextdoor app so I was very excited (now I know they are because they offer discounts if you leave a good review there.) I scheduled my service over the phone, and therefore only knew what I was told over the phone. When the long grass fee was mentioned I was not told how much the charge would be if it was necessary. I had mentioned my edging was long but the grass shouldn’t be considered too long. (I also asked for a quote for to pull up a couple of weeds in a very very small rock bed and the quote seemed astronomical, but this was my first time using a service so I just politely declined, maybe the price was totally normal.) late that evening I got an email stating I was being charged DOUBLE because of a long grass fee which stated that the entire property was long. I wish they would have given me a heads up prior since I was not prepared to pay double, honestly if they would have communicated this I wouldn’t have really been upset with the charge because I would have been aware and they could have shown me where etc. I chose to dispute the charge as it allows on their website and got an email stating it was approved and the charges were dropped. But then a few hours later I get an email from costumer service saying after looking through all the pictures there were a couple of spots that were long so they were going to charge me a 20 something dollar fee instead. If they would have communicated to me I wouldn’t have been in such shock. But all that aside, the job they did is patchy, there are spots they completely missed all throughout the yard, they did a less than stellar job edging, and they don’t clean up the grass either (however this is mentioned deep in their website that they will only do this service for $15 extra if you request it. I just assumed it was part of the service but that was my mistake) unfortunately I’ll be spending the next couple of days fixing the job they did. So PLEASE take my advice and be sure to read and explore every inch of their page before committing to any service so you are totally certain what’s included and what’s an extra fee.

LawnStarter has been such a great experience! I’ve been using it now for about two years and getting somebody to do our lawn has never been easier. Our lawn always looks really great and if they need to pull weeds or do anything else, we can always schedule that quickly. I highly recommend using their services because it will make your lawn care so much easier.

Excellent service from D&A Lawn Care Services through LawnStarter, came through in a pinch right before an open house, the property looked awesome!

This service was honestly very easy. The app matches you to lawn care experts in your area. If someone is unable to work on your lawn, there’s a seamless transition from one servicer to the next so that your lawn doesn’t go neglected. I had issues in the past where my lawn care company would make excuses for not showing up as scheduled (the weather —and that one makes sense, car issues, family issues, equipment issues, etc). It seemed like every week there was a new excuse to not show up as scheduled. But with this lawn care app, I rarely had any breaks in my service. Whoever was available in my area came to mow my lawn. Truly impressed with the idea and the service coverage received!

I surely hope people read these reviews. They are horrible. This company sent their flunkys to my yard which I had never order or even talked to anyone about cutting my yard. On top of it, it was 830 at night. The woman was scalping my yard and left a mess for my company to clean up. Kind of ironic when I own the same business.
