After the devastation of two back-to-back hurricanes, Down Under Construction has been a blessing to us in helping put our home back together. It’s been reassuring to know Joe and his team are neighbors and always right there on top of things. There hasn’t been a time we’ve brought something to Joe’s attention and he hasn’t been on it right away. We’ve felt comfortable with and confident in the crews who have come in for different aspects of the project — our neighbors who used different contractors were all jealous of the way our drywall turned out! Any future projects we will absolutely use Down Under Construction again.

Contractor removed tile and carpet and installed new flooring throughout, new granite countertops, wall tile, baseboards and new appliances. Work done was excellent and they were very helpful relating what was being done. I live in Ohio and work done was in Florida. After finishing they did a video walkthrough so I could see finished renovations. I would highly recommend this company.

We hired Dave and his crew to remodel our 35 year old 1800 sq. ft. Condo. Literally, they made this place look like it was just built. They were professional an knowledgeable. We were living in Franklin, TN, so Dave had to handle all of the little details. When we moved in we felt like we were on TV, I was waiting for someone to say "move that bus". Dave designed the new kitchen lighting, installed the new cabinets, counter tops back splash, all of the plumbing fixtures and flooring. Removed popcorn ceiling. We also remodeled both bathrooms and closets. added Tiled the patio with cabinets and a granite counter. You will not find anyone that is more focused on detail.

Used DUCS for my new Kitchen in Bay Island. The whole experience was nothing short of great. Joe Romano is a a stand up guy and delivered on his promise and everything we agreed to. They were always on time and the quality of work they delivered was impeccable. Special shout out to Russ who installed the cabinets. The cabinet order was screwed up by the manufacturer, however Russ was meticulous and made it work with some retro fitting. Also special recognition for Bobby Romano...great guy and a a true sheetrock professional. While I don't know the backsplash guy, he was great also. I don't normally write reviews, but their work requires a true acknowledgement. Thank You DUCS.

We used DUCS for our primary bathroom remodel in a 100+ year old home. In just over 3 months from initially reaching out to DUCS, Joe and the team were able to complete a beautiful remodel. We were very impressed with the subcontractors that DUCS used - including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and flooring - everyone was incredibly professional and clearly passionate about their work. Joe has a very relaxed demeanor and is open to ideas and working with homeowners to find the best and right solution (without cutting any corners). We are happy we picked DUCS for this job and are very much enjoying our remodeled bathroom.

If you're looking for a dependable and reliable contractor that returns calls and does a excellent job then Down Under Construction is the right company for you. From dropping a wall and installing an I-beam in the new remodel kitchen to installing an 26K generator to keep the house fully lite up during storm issues.

Joe is great. Super responsive, very trustworthy. He has stuck with us through a lot of decision making and delays and he moves at a fast pace- which we all need right now! Highly recommend. We will be using him for our second phase as well.

Had toilet leaks from Condo unit above more than once & it smelled of urine in my guest bathroom ceiling so the drywall had to come out, the cavity cleaned & disinfected then new drywall installed.

It was textured & painted. No more smell!!!

Our condo in Florida was destroyed by water and mold, and we were desperately in need of a construction company to rebuild it. We do not live in Florida, so doing this remotely was daunting. After a recommendation, we contacted Joe at Down under construction. Our experience from the beginning to end has been nothing but fantastic. We were contacted through email, text, and FaceTime all along the way to view what was going on. Any questions we had were answered promptly and thoroughly. Most importantly, after our final payment was made, we had been assured once we returned to our condo in person that any punch item details would be corrected. Within four days of our first trip back, Joe had sent someone to our condo to take care of all of the little adjustments we needed. It is obvious that Joe, Melissa, and the entire crew are passionate about what they do and they care about their end results. We were so afraid that we could be taken advantage of doing this from long distance, but we had absolutely no reason to worry. Hopefully we will never need to go through this again, but we would strongly recommend this construction company to anyone in the Clearwater/Pinellas County area!

During a time that so many people were being taken advantage of by predatory or unlicensed contractors, we truly feel blessed to have had Joe leading our project. As just one example: we paid over 80% less for demo compared to neighbors with the same scope of work who contracted with a servepro type company — and our crew was far more professional and efficient. It meant everything to know we were being treated fairly during such a difficult time.

While no project is ever completely issue-free, the few concerns we did flag were handled immediately. Joe was always communicative and available to discuss and being able to communicate directly with his crews also helped keep the process moving smoothly.

If you’re reading this you must be looking for a contractor. Look no further! We hired DUC (Joe) to do a garage conversion to a master bedroom with an en suite with an addition of a laundry room and a one car garage. It came out amazing! I couldn’t be happier with the work and the professionalism of all his crew. Joe made sure that everything ran smoothly. he came by the site just about every day or he called. He always let us know what was next and when it was going to start, and the crew always showed up. That in itself is amazing along with the quality of work. Kevin and Britt did a great job texturing and re-painting a patched area in our guest bathroom. They protected everything from splatter and cleaned up after! It looks seamless. They were awesome!

We had to replace cabinetry in our kitchen due to mold behind lower cabinets. The team at Crue Construction, Kevin and Britt, did a phenomenal job with the reconstruction of the kitchen. They went over and beyond and showed a high degree of detail in the craftsmanship, whether it was matching texture of a wall,
finish detail around the new cabinets, protecting the granite countertop and accommodating some changes in the process. The final product is terrific and we could not be happier.
