Joel was very professionall in his approach to his work and dealing with us, his customers. He also sold us a soft start for our air conditioner compressor and did a good job of explaining its advantages. I did an internet search and determined that a soft start is a good investment for reducing the surge in amperage at startup. This should extend the life of the compressor. Joel showed me our startup surge was 86 amps before the soft start was installed and 36 amps after. This also means you can run the A/C on a portable generator. He threw in a new capacitor, so I thought the cost was reasonable versus DIY internet prices.

Complete new unit install. Well Done Rocket Cooling! Timely arrival and done before 5:00 pm. Communication was great and very thorough. All good and reliable system.

Very disappointing he told me I needed a new air conditioner or at least parts since I have a warranty and it would cost me over $2200 and I had a second opinion and they told me my air conditioner was fine.i don’t trust this company now .

Not too happy honestly. The tech left his equipment and the AC unit stopped working so we had to have after hours tech return to help us.

No one showed up
Called in the morning to confirm appointment I was told the technician would be there between two and four And that I could expect a text from the technician when they were on their way
Never received a text or phone call from the technician or the office stating that they were not going to come -
Arrived in Florida at our home around 7pm recently, and immediately called for after hour service as our air was completely out and it was 85 degrees in our home. We did not get a response. Left message. We waited one hour and called again. Left another message. No response. No call-back. We had a miserable evening. The next morning we called at 7 am and did not get anyone to help. Left another message (third attempt). No call-back. We called once Rocket was open and was added to their long list of calls for the day with a service time between 3:00 and 5:00. I was told there was no guarantee that they could get here any sooner but we would receive a call from Joe the service tech at least a half hour prior to him arriving. Further, I was informed that they have scheduled MAINTENANCE CALLS ahead of our emergency call. I asked the scheduler to explain why routine maintenance calls take priority over an emergency call and she responded that’s how they do business. She had a cavalier attitude at best. She did not care about our issue or that the temperature was escalating in the home. By 3:00 the expected air temperature would be 93 with an even higher heat index. My husband has asthma and the heat triggered breathing problems so we had no choice but to call another provider to resolve.
The other provider said they were on the way which we were grateful. We received no advanced phone call from Rocket that they were able to service UNTIL they were in our driveway. Joe explained he was sorry for the numerous attempts and that was “ on him”. He said he was having issues with his app receiving calls. Shouldn’t the company have a better system in place when they are having internal issues? If they cannot receive after-hours calls then why advertise that they do?
The other company was already here engaged and ready to remediate the issue when Joe arrived. Several issues were found with the initial installation (that Rocket completed two years ago) and those issues were resolved by the other company. We have had Rocket’s service plan annually since they installed our system and have never had a problem until now.
It’s disappointing and unbelievable that Rocket charged us for a service call when we did not get ANY notice they were on their way. Until Joe was at our home. We learned that Joe was in our neighborhood a few doors away!! That is very poor service and we should not be charged $145 for the call! Joe never left his vehicle at our home. He just said he was at our property. We do not recommend Rocket Cooling! I have asked on THREE separate occasions for the manager (Jeff) to return my call without response. Without reservation, extremely disappointed in their service and would not recommend them to anyone! -
Mr Hernandez was polite and professional. He informed me the refrigeraterant levels were low and another appointment was needed to isolate and fix the leak. 20 minutes later my credit card was hit for $130.50. Then a representative called to schedule the next appointment. When I asked why I was charged another $130, she told me my $199 payment did not cover the diagnosis of “low refrigerant”. That what I paid for was a 14 point inspection, which he was unable to do. However the $199 annual membership clearly states “check refrigerant levels and pressures (see attached). I either want my $130 back and have that visit count against my 2 annuals, or my $199 back, as the $130 was what I was quoted for a single service call.

I purchased this brand-new home in June 2023 for my elderly parents. The AC System was installed by Rocket Cooling so when it stopped working Sept 24th, 2024, I called them. They were prompt, professional and worked to repair the problem. Then Sept 27, 2024, they had to return as it was failing again. Then Oct 1, 2024, it went down again, June 8th, 2025, it went down, June 26, 2025, down again, Sept 13, 2025, down, and finally Nov 18th, 2025, down again. Our technician Red explained that whoever installed the system (I guess he didn't notice the large ROCKET stickers on the unit) didn't install something correctly causing some wire to be crushed causing all these troubles. Rocket sent me a quote for a repair of this item for $350. I called and asked to speak with someone about this issue as I thought it strange that the company that installed the unit and their technician just said it wasn't done properly wouldn't stand behind it. But no one ever called me back. Then I've received two texts practically begging me to review my service. So here you go. This home is for my 92-year-old parents who are very sensitive to heat and cool and really don't need the aggravation of a new system having to be serviced multiple times. The multiple technicians...Ryan Hall, Fabian Kinatowski (twice), William Mooney, Cristobal Alvarez, Red Casey (twice) have all been very professional, but really how many times do some elderly people have to worry about their brand-new unit acting like its 100 years old?
