The experience was good until I went in to pay my bill and got charged for three guys when the normal is two not sure why they needed the third guy it was just a loose wire in a junction box they stayed one hour the first day and one hour the next morning, got charged for one and a half hours each day. I kept track of the time because of a review that I read.

After calling several OTHER Electrical Company's (who did not show-up as scheduled) .... I finally called P&R Electric.
They proved to be a outstanding A+ Electrical Contractor!!!
Professional, timely, knowledgeable, reasonably priced and one of the few companies in today's world to have integrity.
I HIGHLY recommend P&R Electric in Macclenny, Florida. -
I got a call thinking they would schedule an appointment and they asked if they could just come at that time. They came in, changed out the fixtures, were very nice and professional, and I HIGHLY recommend them. Not my first time using them either.

Excellent Service and Caring. My HVAC quit wirking and lights started flashing on a Fiday night before Thanksgiving week. My AC Service technician came out and stated that I was only getting 104 volts of a 240 volt feed and found the main breaker was bad. I called Alex and he was out early Saturday morning. He stated I needed a new breaker panel but was booked until after Thanksgiving. He even callled other electricians in town to see if they vould perform the work. None were availale so he bypassed the main breaker temporily to power my house and was out to replace the panel after Thanksgiving. The work was completed promptly and professionally. We are greatful to P&R.

I asked to have three light fixtures switched out. One of these fixtures, required a 16ft ladder. It was a simple change. The second was the dining room with a normal ceiling height, switched out for an updated look. It, too, was a very easy switch out. The 3rd and final one was switching out a ceiling fan in the master for a updated look. It was also a easy change out.
Now, when the crew arrived, they sent 4 or maybe 5. I thought to myself that maybe it was to make the job go faster. But when I got my bill, I literally almost cried. So to change out 3 fixtures...no wiring or anything else needed, My bill was over $800 dollars. My heart was so hurt. I cannot say anything negative about Mr Alex. He's a fellow Christian and had been very kind to me. But... I couldn't wrap my mind around this ridiculous bill. I was charged per person/crew. I was overcharged for the amount of time they were here. My time was very different from their time report, then I was charged for scaffolding, which in the beginning, you saw I typed a 16ft ladder. I was so disappointed. I couldn't really afford that much. I contacted the office and the lady who answers the phone was so snotty and rude. Finally, I heard from Alex. He removed the scaffolding but that's it. So my bill was still almost $600. I cannot remember the exact amount.
He was also supposed to come give my husband a quote on several occasions and never showed up. So unfortunately, even though I really enjoy my conversations with him, we had to hire another company. My suggestion is to get a quote. That was my mistake. Based off our conversations, he said he would take care of us knowing we'd been ripped off from another contractor that did our floors. I hate having to write this review, I really do!! Get a Quote!! -
Called P&R Electric over two months ago to have something replaced. Since then, I called twice to see when they were going to be at my house, since I had not seen them. They kept assuring me that I was "on the list".
I finally called an electric company based in Jacksonville. They showed up and made the repair. It only took two weeks. Plus, this other company gave me a date and time that they would be here -not just put me on some list! I guess P&R is too busy wiring new houses to do a small potatoes repair like mine. -
I highly recommend P & R Electric. I called them about 1:00 pm. Mr. Alex came to my house the same day and quickly determined my problem and fixed it . Very nice people.

The electricians were great and the work they performed was excellent. They installed 4 fans. I asked them to come back the next day and swap the fan in the dining room with the single bulb fixture in the living room. I was there and it took them about a half hour.
I received the invoice and I was billed 2.5 hours to install the 4 fans (which was accurate) and 2 hours to swap the fan and the fixture which was listed as a "chandelier".
I went to the office to discuss the charges and "Mr. Alex" became defensive almost immediately. I pointed out that there is no way it would take 2.5 hours to install 4 fans and 2 hours to move one, and he told me he goes by the time sheet.
I told him I was there, and they spent about a half hour. His terse reply was "So you started a timer when they got there?" At that point I decided I was done and went to the counter to pay the bill. Mr. Alex then followed me to the counter and told me I got a bargain because they charged me based on time instead of per fan. I replied that it was their choice to bill me based on time, and since they chose to do that it should be accurate. I paid the invoice and left. Very unpleasant experience.
It's interesting that there are bibles in the office and every conversation ends with "have a blessed day", but if you dare politely question the charges things go downhill quickly.
