Professional, responsive, attentive and timely. I unconditionally recommend Hi-Tech. I did see some of the not so good reviews, albeit few, and those reviews are entirely mistaken.

I called in the morning because my air conditioning was not working. We had spent the night before in a hot house and it was about to be Memorial Day weekend so wanted to get someone in right away to fix the A/C. I called first thing in the morning and they made an appointment to come between 12 and 2:00 this afternoon.

I waited all morning and no A/C guy had shown up by almost 2:00. I get a call from the woman in the office and she tells me the technician is running late and will be at my home by 3:00 pm. I have already been waiting this long so I figure what's another hour. At 3:00 pm he had still not shown up. I call again and leave a message telling the office person that I will have to leave if he is not there by 3:30 to please call me back. By 3:30 pm still no one had shown up so I left. The office never did return my call and I left another message at almost 5:00 pm. The technician did call me at 3:40 pm and told me he had just arrived at my house. I said I was sorry but I had to leave to an appointment and I asked if he could come back later that night. He said no, that he would be working on other jobs until 8 or 9:00 tonight. I did not understand why they made no effort to do some service recovery and find a way to fix my problem even if it meant working later since they had inconvenienced me. The office never returned my calls and made no effort to make things right or apologize. Update: I just got a call from someone at 5:11 pm finally returning my call. He really did not have much to say. Basically said he did not have an explanation for what happened, he had no one to come out to fix my air and he was sorry. That's it! These people just have terrible customer service! I would never call on this company again.

I highly recommend Hi-Tech Air Service. They have installed 2 full air conditioning systems in my home. I'm very happy with the workmanship that went into these difficult projects. Chris arrived promptly at 8 am and did not leave until the job was done at 6:30. He is polite and always happy to take the time to answer any questions. John gave me various options to fit my budget. Laura is great with scheduling and goes out of her way to accommodate your schedule. If you want a company with a personal touch, definitely hire Hi-Tech Air do your air conditioning.

I found Melcon Air Conditioning the same way most people do when they’re trying to make a big decision about their home: by doing a lot of research and reading reviews. They weren’t recommended to me personally; I came across them while looking for a company that was competitive, highly reviewed, and ideally something close to a family-run operation. Melcon checked all those boxes.

From the very beginning, Daniel was extremely responsive and easy to work with. We had several questions, asked them to rework the bid multiple times, explored different unit options, and negotiated details of the job. Every request was met with patience, professionalism, and a genuinely welcoming attitude. That made the whole process feel comfortable from the start.

The project itself was not simple. We had to remove and dispose of two existing 2-ton rooftop package units and install new ones, which required permits, coordination, and a crane. Melcon handled the entire process smoothly and helped guide us through the options so we understood exactly what we were getting.

What really stood out to me was their responsiveness and integrity when small hiccups inevitably came up during a job of this scale. Communication was always quick and clear, and it was obvious they take pride in their work and their reputation. They also went above and beyond in several areas, taking care of things that many other companies would likely have itemized and billed separately.

The installation ended up taking longer than originally anticipated, and they were very apologetic about that, but honestly it didn’t matter to me. The quality of the work, the thoroughness of the installation, and the overall professionalism of the team made it clear the job was being done the right way.

It was also nice to see the family element of the business. I had the chance to meet José, Daniel’s father, along with the rest of the team, and everyone was professional, respectful, discreet, and simply very pleasant to have working around the house.

Overall, the experience was excellent. Melcon delivered exactly what you hope for when hiring a contractor: clear communication, fair pricing, quality work, and a team that takes pride in what they do.
