Handy Andy and team are incredible. We've used them a few times, and they are always professional, courteous, and do great work. They also do a great job cleaning up afterwards, which other handyman services have not always done in my experience. This time we needed a new microwave and fan installed. It only took 1.5 hours and that includes dealing with a few curve balls (which I couldn't have figured out on my own).

I went with "Handy Andy" because of the reviews, but felt it was very overpriced and quite frankly not impressed. My issues:
- Communication: When I hire you, I expect you to communicate with me the work performed at the end of the job. My wife was home and had access to the sprinkler system, and I guess that was reason to have zero communication? I'm a contractor and that's the equivalent of me talking to the site but not the boss who hired me.
- Price: $260 for a very minor job. Was quoted $110 by others. Was charged $55 for a supply run when they didn't even leave? Are the sprinkler head and 2' pipe you used made out of titanium? I understand a markup, but this is a 300%+ markup. Then charged 3 hours worth of labor when security cams show only on-site for a little over 2 hours? Maybe because you brought your whole crew, not sure? I would have even been OK with the price if the job was a little more professional.
- Unprepared: Showed up with only a hand shovel. Had to borrow our normal shovel. Had no brush, rake, anything.
- Sloppy: See photos, crushed valve cover, left a bunch of dirt on the drive, left sprinkler system cover off. These are small things and I know no one will treat your house like you do, but I know the difference between laziness and putting in some effort to build a customer base and get recommendations.
I wouldn't hire Handy Andy for the smallest of jobs let alone big ones.

We called Handy Andy for repair work on our front door and garage trim. Andy was very professional and did a great job explaining beforehand what work would be done and was able to give an estimate so we knew exactly what to expect. Darrell who came and did the work was friendly and also did a great job explaining the work and checking in to make sure he knew what we needed. Even when we called back a couple days after because we thought the door lock needed some adjustment, Andy was quick to respond and Darrell came out and remedied the issue. The end results are great and exactly what was discussed.

Amazing experience with Handy Andy and his crew! Phenomenal work, amazing insight and suggestions, and we are extremely happy with the results. I will be recommending them to anyone who needs anything handled in and around the home. From rewiring and installing a dishwasher to sprinkler heads; immaculate painting to fixing drawers and cabinets that have been janky for years, Andy and his team are wonderful. Also, great communication, which was super important for me. Thanks again!

I hired Handy Andy to fix up & paint our house’s exterior. Andy’s team is efficient, tidy, and smart. Andy clearly laid out the prices for me before the project got started. He and his team kept me in the loop the whole time. Thanks, Andy!

Andy is the best for my rental home repairs and maintenance. Outstanding communication! He sends an emailed invoice for every service and I pay easily via Zelle. Highly recommend, he’s my favorite service profession to work with!
He’s the first guy I call when I need anything at the house. You get what you pay for and he’s worth the peace of mind. He’s helped with at least a dozen projects over the past 5 years. Sprinklers, faucet replacement, gutter cleaning, and many others.

5 stars? More like 50!!! The word “exceptional” would be an understatement for Handy Andy! Our bathroom remodel was completed with a combo of professionalism and expertise that is hard to come by these days. Andy was honest, upfront, and fair with costs, recommendations, and work plans. From demo to detail work, Andy and Darrell showed up on time each day and did everything A to Z (drywall, tile, vanities, lighting, mirrors, paint, caulk, sinks, etc.) while taking extra care to minimize noise and dust. This company and owner stand behind their work and will go the extra mile to ensure you are satisfied!

I had such a fantastic experience working with Handy Andy’s, and I can’t recommend them enough. Jason and Darrell did a lot of the work on my home, and their craftsmanship and attention to detail were incredible. From start to finish, the communication was excellent—clear, timely, and professional—so I always knew what was happening with each step of the project.
The pricing was more than fair and, in fact, super reasonable given the scope of work. I really appreciated that they walked me through the context of the costs, so I understood where my money was going and why. As a single woman, trust and safety are a huge factor when hiring anyone to work in my home, and Andy, Jason, and Darrell made me feel completely comfortable and secure throughout the process.
They tackled projects big and small—from drywall and flooring updates to plumbing and electrical adjustments—and everything was handled with skill and care. The results have been better than I could have hoped for, and I feel like my home is in such a stronger place because of their work.
Overall, it was a truly great experience: great communication, great pricing, trustworthy people, and excellent results. I’ll absolutely be using Handy Andy’s again for future projects.

I have been a EPLS customer for almost 4+ years after installing a new St Augustine lawn. EPLS was suggested by the installer. Christopher has been my technician since the start. He is fantastic...explaining what the applications are and recommendations on keeping the lawn at its best. Chris certainly knows his trade! I would not want anyone but Chris. I hope management is aware of his value to his company! Chris keep on keepin on!

I am so pleased with the service I received today! I called and immediately got a response!
Mr. Roí Levin asked me to send pictures so he could assess my lawn immediately to see how we would proceed forward. His response was immediate. His plan of action was immediate. I have not gotten better service anywhere, ever! Completely floored at how professional, knowledgeable and responsive he is! Thank you so much for all your help!!! -

Destroy my new sod: put new sod in February 2022, the company came highly recommended. Now it’s November and my lawn is terrible. Over run with dollar weed, dead spots and grab grass. My tech was very nice and keep telling don’t worry it will grow back/ fill in. This is NOT the case with in days of last treatment ants had build a high hill and have taken over. I had to buy and put my own treatment down. We are tired of being bitten by fire ant when playing with the dogs in the back yard. I would run from the company!

*** UPDATE ***
Roi paid me a visit, I appreciate his desire to promptly address my concerns and meet me at my convenience. This talks greatly about his commitment to EPLS and his customers.
As perceptions are reality until facts talk, Roi and I put our frustrations to rest, and continue our relationship with a renewed understanding and expectations to both. Nothing that a phone call can’t handle it from now on. Thank you Roi!I have been using EPLS for many years, this is my second property that I continue to use them and unfortunately I see the evolution from a great service company to a corporate platform.
Used to be customized plans, not anymore. Now they tell you when to their convenience, single minded approach, textbook recommendations and visit reports that seem to be pre-written paragraphs unrelated to history and conversations. Find more arguments of why they can’t help than even what they do great. Figure because they care about to manage their cost and profit than lawns now.
Have to take it upon my self to keep a nice lawn, and manage “untreatable” weeds, while paying to get a report pointing to not only the obvious, but what has been discussed already with them. -

We switched to EPLS after not seeing any progress with our lawn from another provider. Within two weeks our lawn was dark green and finally growing! The other company spent over a year on our lawn and it was yellow and we barely had to cut it because it didn't grow.
Our technician, Shannon, is fantastic. He always knocks on the door to give us an update and recommendations on what we can do over the next month. Their pricing is fantastic, too. We are paying less than we used to and are getting better service for that lower price. I highly recommend EPLS for your lawncare!

Response to Roi:
EPLS leadership holds a Master’s degree from the University of Florida, yet repeatedly gave recommendations that directly contradict UF/IFAS turf management guidance. That contradiction set the tone for the entire service experience. We retained EPLS for nearly three years and paid over $4,000 in lawn service fees, excluding the additional thousands spent annually hiring outside contractors to replace sod after the same areas of our lawn failed every single year under their management. EPLS does not install sod, does not offer sod replacement, and states this is “not their responsibility,” yet continued billing while the lawn predictably declined. We are now left with a half-dead front lawn for the third consecutive year.
This was not seasonal dormancy. Dormant turf loses color — it does not repeatedly collapse to bare soil in the same locations. Annual sod replacement is not coincidence; it is a documented pattern of failure.
When asked to explain the pattern, EPLS rotated through explanations — watering, traffic, dogs, shade, weeds, and weather — often contradicting themselves. We maintain continuous video surveillance of the front lawn, which removes speculation. The affected areas were not trafficked by people, not damaged by dogs, and properly irrigated under a professionally monitored system. The only consistent presence in those exact areas was EPLS’s technician during routine service visits.
Despite claiming professional expertise, EPLS encouraged watering during a cold snap, then blamed us for reducing irrigation to avoid freezing saturated roots. This advice directly contradicts UF/IFAS recommendations, which clearly advise against irrigation before or during freezes and recommend winter watering only under favorable temperatures. EPLS later acknowledged they would not water their own lawn under those conditions — directly contradicting the guidance they attempted to fault us for.
EPLS also stated the lawn is now “mostly crabgrass.” That observation is accurate and revealing. Crabgrass does not overtake healthy, properly managed St. Augustine. It colonizes bare, weakened soil after turf has already failed. Presenting this as a cause rather than a consequence reflects a fundamental misunderstanding of turfgrass biology.
The individual presented as the primary professional managing our lawn was Josh. According to EPLS’s own materials, Josh holds no degree or formal training in turfgrass science, agronomy, or soil management and has been with EPLS since 2019, with prior experience limited to general pest management. Despite this, he was positioned as the authority diagnosing chronic turf failure. His explanations shifted month to month and lacked technical clarity, which became increasingly evident as the same problems repeated without correction.
Our neighborhood, Sweetwater Oaks, is entirely mature oak canopy — effectively Wekiwa State Park with houses — yet many neighboring properties maintain healthy St. Augustine lawns, even in heavier shade. Our lawn failed including areas with minimal shade, rendering the explanations provided unnecessary.
Management ultimately acknowledged the repeated turf loss was “not okay,” declined responsibility, and became dismissive when presented with documentation. At that point, the service crossed from ineffective to professionally embarrassing and unacceptable.
After three years, significant expense, and zero corrective outcome, this reflects persistent misdiagnosis, disregard for UF/IFAS standards, lack of qualified turf expertise, and poor oversight.
I would not recommend EPLS to anyone seeking competent lawn care. -

NO STARS FOR EPLS ! "Had to push one star to be able to post, one star is two too many " !
When i started using EPLS over a year ago i was promised a reasonably beautiful green weed and bug free St Augustine lawn . The first few months my lawn started looking a little better, but sadly started going down hill month by month to what i am left with today, ( see phots ) It is in my opinion if you are possibly planning to use EPLS consider looking around. EPLS is a small family owned company and are very nice people , but well pictures don't lie. It saddens me to have to write this review but it needs to be said. it is going to cost me hundreds if not thousands of dollars and a lott of time to bring my lawn back to an acceptable level . If EPLS really cared and had a conscience they would refund the hundreds of dollar that I waisted on there service, or lack of. Sorry you all , but EPLS really dropped the ball on me.
I am not normally one to write such a negative review and not a complainer but here we are !!!
VERY UNHAPPY X-CUSTOMER,
Scott Hunt $$$$$$$ WAISTED ! You have my address if feel the need to refund my money !!
***** In response to your reply to my accurate previous post, my lawn is getting the proper amount of water that has been checked by an irrigation specialist, and obviously the rest of the lawn shows that . The problem is you have not been able to handle the weeds and pest (bugs) that have entered my lawn and taken over. So as to your suggestion that some how the problem is my fault is a completely WEAK statement , irresponsible and a poor direction to go on your part. Also besides the obvious huge dead bug infested areas there are many more weeds in the lawn than when i started service with ELPS ! Again please be aware people are not stupid, my pictures show the problem, total neglect not on my part but obviously yours ELPS !!! The right thing to do is to refund me all the money i have unfortunately wasted by using ELPS. p.s. I'm certainly sure i will have a much better lawn with the new lawn service that i have chosen to replace EPLS.Sadly,

THE go to ‘can do anything’ guys. We have used them for so many projects: pool screens, whole bathroom renovations, painting, kitchen cabinet
replacement. Will continue to use and recommend!
