Landscaping reviews in Orlando, Florida

Daniel F. did an amazing job in air rating my lawn front and back. He was extremely professional. I saw him physically, pulling up clumps of weeds that should not be in my yard, and I’m very grateful for his attention to detail.

From start to when we terminated service with TruGreen was a total nightmare! How does the first tech show up at 6:45 am when it's dark to "treat" our lawn. From the initial visit to two weeks later we had zero grass. We finally cancelled after many broken promises to do right and then we're told they couldn't help us restore bc we were no longer a client. How many paid visits of disappointment would anyone put up with before terminating service. It got so bad they accidentally treated our neighbors lawn. Save yourself and your lawn the trouble. Find a company that cares and can admit when they messed up. After multi representatives stated they would do their best to make things right, the "regional manager" got angry and showed up to our resident saying our previous photos were photos shopped. He was very aggressive until he noticed the cameras recording next door. Again save your time and hard earned money for a company with values.

The actual worst company I’ve ever worked with. Their sales tactics are so predatory and bullying. They will not stop coming to my door unannounced and unrequested. I have asked repeatedly for them to stop and told them I don’t want their service. The next time they show up, I will call the authorities.

I’m giving one star to the wonderful lady in customer service that assisted me. Otherwise, my yard has been an absolute disaster since using this company. My lawn that was once green is now full of brown spots, and the weeds grew completely out of control (my backyard, which hasn’t been touched by their products, is still green and intact). I received my first notice of violation from the HOA as a result. Beware of this company…I do not recommend at all.

All is well. Please have the technician change the sign place in the yard previously as a way to prove he/she was actually at the property. Often times I come home to the old sign from the previous month and left wondering if someone actually came to my home to complete the service. Overall, good job.

TruGreen told me my first visit would be 50% off ($34.98), so I decided to give them a try. They finished my yard in about 15 minutes — super fast — but when I got the bill, it was for $149.87. What a disappointment. Feels like false advertising and a total scam. They’ve completely lost my trust.

THE TRUTH ABOUT TRUE GREEN
PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE CONSIDERING TRUE GREEN!
I would give Zero Stars if I had the option. I had them service my property for over a year and had no results. My neighbors lawn that had no treatment looked the same as mine. Grass dying, full of weeds... After talking to them and asking for someone to review the treatment nothing was done and nobody called. When I asked them to cancel my service, somebody finally called me and to say I was "being dumb" for canceling my service and that the company made over 1.6 billion dollars last year.... Awful customer service from all possible aspects.
UPDATE:
I found out the person I talked to was a branch manager. He notated my account refusing to refund me for the poor service. Now anytime I call this company, they will just say "they are sorry" and that there is nothing they can do. -
I hired TruGreen in February 2021 to begin getting my lawn in shape for the summer. I had previously hired a different lawn company the year before, and they failed miserably. Thus, my hopes were placed on TruGreen in getting my lawn lush and green.
My lawn was in fair condition before TruGreen started service, but I was quite hopeful that they could get it under control. My neighbor uses their services, and her lawn looks good.
I've given them 8 months to work their magic, but from my photos, you can see that was not the case. I've spent a total of $951.10, wound up getting a webworm infestation that created all of these lovely bare, brown patches on the front and back yards. Needless to say, I've since fired TruGreen.
So, buyer beware! You may be better off doing your own lawn care yourself instead of spending your hard-earned money on a service that will fail you. -
My wife and I want to thank TruGreen for sending Angel Aponte and Daniel Fogle to treat our lawn and shrubs. We also want to thank Earl Newberry, Supervisor, for assigning these experienced Technicians to our property. Thanks for being so reliable and professional every visit. Your expertise makes a noticeable difference in our yard. We really appreciate how clean and tidy everything is when they’re done. It’s clear that TruGreen take pride in their work. You have our sincere thanks. James & Iris Dean

A salesman named Charles came to my door one day and said I had an infestation. I told him we already use Massey. He said they could do everything Massey does, plus more. He also started talking about some licensing that he claimed Massey does not have.
I gave him my email and phone number and told him to email me the information. Later that day, instead of emailing me like I asked, he called me. The next day, he called again. I reminded him that I specifically asked for an email. He gave me some excuse about why he had to call instead. It felt like a way to apply sales pressure. That was my first yellow flag.
Here is the red flag.
He asked what I was paying Massey. I told him. I also listed every service I get from them. I asked what it would cost for his company to provide the exact same services. He gave me a price. I told him what I was currently paying Massey. He asked for proof, so I sent him a screenshot showing all the services and pricing. He said they would match it.
Based on that, I gave him my credit card information and canceled my service with Massey. He charged me.
The very next day, he texted me asking if I wanted to add on a service. The service was tree and shrub, which was already included in what I showed him from Massey. I had already sent proof that it was part of my existing service. Not only did he say I was wrong, but he told me I misunderstood my own services.
This seems to be their tactic. They pressure you, mislead you about what is included, and promise services they do not actually include. Then once you are under contract, they try to charge extra for things that were supposed to be part of the original deal.
I would never recommend this company to anyone. I used Massey for eight years and never had a single issue. Save yourself the headache and go with someone else. -
Complete rip off and waste of time. They never completed the initial service because they never came on the scheduled time. I spent HOURS on the phone with them but nothing helped. So I canceled. Now they are still billing me. If you have nothing better to do than wait on hold and listen to excuses call them. They will be happy to take your money for nothing! After seeing this review corporate got involved and refunded my money.

Beware…. Get yourself cameras and confirm they do their job.
I was home on a business call when the guy rang the bell to let me know he was here. I was upstairs so I couldn’t come answer, but I looked out the window to see the truck. A few minutes pass and I didn’t see an alert from my Blink app that anyone set off a camera. I have ten, covering every angle of my property. I looked out to see the truck was gone. I thought maybe something came up and he would return later, but I found a receipt at the door stating all he had done across my whole property. What? If he stepped one foot in my yard to spray, my camera would record him. 30 minutes later Terminex arrived and did their job, and I have multiple video clips of their tech doing work. So this confirms my cameras were working and the Truegreen tech did nothing. He just wrote up a receipt and left. And if you look at my yard and the weeds, it leads me to believe this wasn’t the first time it’s happened. I’ve been under contract for almost a decade and now I wonder how much money I wasted. So my advice…. Get cameras, and every time you get a receipt or email stating that they did a service, double check your video clips.
Check out the photos. You don’t get those amount of weeds and dying patches of grass if they were spraying or fertilizing. -
I have paid roughly a thousand dollars this year to still have weeds and spotty grass. Tried to cancel and they talked me into extra “spot” services…. Still every month they come and every month I’m pulling weeds! I understand they aren’t responsible for every weed but I pull two hand fulls every night while I stand out front and let the kids play……. I am very disappointed with there service and feel like they are selling snake oil

TruGreen is supposed to service our community however the tech spends more time sitting in the truck than actually servicing the property. Weeds everywhere and now invasive spiderwort types that are really difficult to remove and causeallergicreactionsin pets. Not once have I ever seen the tech actually look at the condition of the grass. Grass is absolutely horrible looking.

I have had TruGreen for 3 years. I first hired them when I got a new yard. The first year was great, second year was starting to look not great… and now, 3rd year, it’s just terrible. We have asked them for help, for improvements, and they always have some method of giving you some bs about how they are sending a “specialist out to diagnose the issue” and then they do some “treatment” with no result and continue to charge me $70+ a month. They have perfected the subscription based model of collecting money and giving nothing in return, making it hard to cancel, and just flat out do nothing to “care for my lawn”. If you’d like your lawn to go from new, lush, green & healthy… to what you see in the pictures, a weed infested, patch ridden HOA note getting nightmare of a yard… TruGreen is your spot. Lastly… It’s hilarious that they would stick a flag in my yard with their logo on it, like they are proud of the service they gave.

Just started lawn service with TruGreen. This is to provide fertilization, weed and insect control for a newly laid sod lawn and for my trees and shrubs. the sales process was very interactive, respectful and accommodating. The rep took the time to listen to my concerns and goals and provided me the assurances and description of how the services he was proposing will address all of those. The price was very fair and it was very pleasant dealing with the representative in those discussions. So far so good, i have only had one treatment so far so cannot judge the impact of any treatments until way later in the year. I will update later in the year

Monarch is by far the most professional landscaping company I’ve ever signed a contract with. Jared in particular, has managed to transform my personal home, as well as multiple investment properties from “meh” to the tropical and colorful paradise a Florida home should be!
I can’t recommend them enough! -
Although today’s visit was a re application of insecticide and weed control, the company was prompt to take care of the problem. This was a special free emergency visit. The lawn was originally treated on July 29th but the problem with the chinch bugs continued. The lawn looks not good at all. Many large brown areas. The technician told me that those bugs start in an area and keep spreading. It was the same tech who treated it the first time and said that the bugs did spread. He treated and told me that I should see improvements like in two weeks. I will wait and hopefully this lawn will get back to normal. Thank you!

TruGreen provides outstanding, reliable, high quality service at a very affordable price. Prior to their service, I was planning to replace the lawn, because of the poor condition. The high quality service provided by TruGreen makes it appear like I did have a new lawn installed.

Steve was very informative and professional. This was our first tree and shrub service with TruGreen and we're very satisfied with their customer service. We're looking forward to a long lasting relationship.

If you use Richard, you’re gonna be satisfied with true grain that’s a promise.
