Absolutely great monthly lawn service! They have done a great job and kept my yard looking fantastic. Gil and his crew have also done several major landscaping projects around my property the past two years as well as coming back and refreshing everything when needed. I highly recommend them to you!

They did a good job putting down 5,000 sq ft of sod for us. Gil is a good guy who works with his crew to make certain it's all done properly. He's also fun to talk with. If you're thinking you need sod, talk with Gil -- you'll like his approach and his fair pricing

I don't have a huge front yard, but that didn't deter Gil from giving me great service at a reasonable price. He installed the irrigation system and sod in my front yard. He made suggestions which enhanced the the front of my house. Besides the exceptional work, he didn't treat me like a customer, instead like a friend who he happened to be doing some work for. Don't waste your time calling others, just call Gil, you won't regret it.

Gil did an amazing job designing and completing our front landscaping. We had recently renovated and wanted to elevate our landscaping to fit the new look of our house. Gil provided exactly what we asked for which was a sleek, modern, low maintenance front yard. He did not over sell us on plants, and carefully selected each one to support our vision. We thoroughly enjoyed the process from beginning to end and would definitely recommend Gil and GML Total Lawn Care!

We hired Gil based on all these great reviews and it was one of the worse mistake we made. Lots of talk and promises but very little action. Sod he installed in May 2024, is dying in some areas and the rest of sod is patchy and thin. We hired his recommended fertilizer company and they said, poor sod prep and low grade sod. Front yard is lots of shade with 2 big oak trees and he installs sod that requires full sun, per sod company! Sod arrived brown and when we questioned him, he said it will turn green, which it did with lots of patches.
We signed up for his lawn service, another complete disaster. He sent out kids who spun the mower and created more holes in the sod. He never cleaned up the landscape, sprayed the weeds in planters or driveway, all the big promises as his “ full service lawn care” he touted. He promised if lawn in front area didn’t come back, he would replace and to call him the end of July (2024) we did and no reply.
He does not even give you the courtesy of a reply to try and resolve the issues. We moved on the another lawn company but after spending all this money on sod, at least half of it will need to be replaced.
Fast talker but can’t keep up with the promises. Probably too many clients and staff quitting. His one time manager that mowed our lawn once and told us he was quitting !
He is a pleasant man but is just a fast talker, get the money and move on.
I have all the texts and photos of the yard from start to finish and happy to share.
UPDATE: it is now 4 months since Gil installed our new sod and it looks worse than ever. It is thin with open patches everywhere. We have used his recommended lawn company for fertilizers etc. and he says it was just such a poor quality sod and improperly installed that it makes recovery difficult.
Gil, the guy that promised everything is nowhere to be found and doesn’t reply to messages.

Gil and his crew did an excellent job in removing some of our trees and shrubs from our property, and after that installing new sod, landscaping and mulch. Gil has been great in very prompt communications, and he and his team worked hard to get everything done in a timely manner! He completely turned our yard around and we look forward to continued use of his services.

Gil and his crew did a beautiful job with our yard. Repaired our sprinkler system, cut trees, installed sod and plants. Gil is honest and easy to work with and very professional. GML will now be doing our weekly cutting and treating our grass. So happy we called GML!!

Gil, the owner, came to our property a few days after we initially contacted him and right away established our trust. Both he and his crew are all personable but very professional. They took great care to respect our property, stayed in regular communication with us throughout the whole project and made great suggestions along the way to enhance our property. When it was all completed we couldn't have been happier with the end result. We can't recommend GML Total Lawn Care enough!

Hired GML over a year ago to maintain our yard. They recently resod our yard and did a fantastic job. Exactly what we were looking for. Additionally, the owner Gil is a really nice guy. Works really hard too. He and his crew got the job done. Pricing is very reasonable. Will not find a better crew in the Tampabay area. Highly recommend GML for all types of yard or lawn services.

Gil and his team are awesome! They are professional, reliable, fast and skilled. I am extremely happy with the way my yard is looking (it wasn't always like this) and I am very grateful to these guys that work very hard. Gil and Bill and team did a great job replacing my sod, changing out sprinklers, trimming numerous palms on my property. My neighbors were very impressed too and started asking for quotes on the spot! Great value and service. Thank you so much. Our property went from being the worst grass in the neighborhood to the best!!

GML ( Gil) was recommended to me by my lawn irrigation specialist. Gil accurately assessed my Sod problem. I then contracted him to remove all my overgrown Landscaping in the front of my house and replant what he could salvage in the back. That worked out great! Gil then recommended all new landscaping in the front, he spread all the pine bark, and procured a new Christmas Palm, and , it looks fantastic. He then removed all the dead grass and resodded the front and other parts of the yard. Gil has a keen eye, and he is very responsive and finished everything in a professional and friendly manor. He will be starting to maintain all the sod and plants. I highly recommend him and the key is to listen to him. If you do your yard will be sexy like mine. (-:)

We are super happy with Gil and his team’s landscaping work. From sod and sprinklers, to shell and stepping stone, plants and trees... everything is absolutely beautiful. It feels like my own tropical oasis. Thanks so much GML! You guys rock!

I took several quotes on my landscaping project; Gil won the job with his excellent customer service and value on the bid. He did not disappoint installing irrigation, Sod, and beautiful plants in a timely fashion. My front and back yard looks beautiful now. I was so impressed with his hard work, that I hired him to take care of my lawn and pool at his affordable monthly cost.

We used GML for a year. When I hired them they came in and did a great job trimming and cleaning up the yard to start. I contracted for mowing and trimming, weekly in summer and bi-weekly in the colder months. They would come in and mow so fast there would be tread marks in the lawn and uneven cutting. They never trimmed again until after asking a few times when the team was cutting. They finally trimmed the front but not the back after about 6 months. Then after asking a few more times to trim it all they came in two weeks ago and hacked everything. I understand the bushes and shrubs get cut low.

I was really upset with the way they cut the healthy palms in the first picture, they removed everything up to the top. Also the pine tree in the 2nd picture all the way to the trunk. I spoke to Gil via text and he said “that’s how it’s supposed to be done and I should have specified if I didn’t want them to do this” I did say they they didn’t do that a year ago in the initial trim so I didn’t think I needed to tell them not to cut off green healthy palms and branches.

Anyway, I guess the point of this is to let future costumers know to be very clear with what you want done. I am no longer using GML. I let them know days after this incident and the team still came to cut two weeks later.

They were awesome initially. Over the years price kept going up. Multiple issues including broken gates and continuing to weed whack my mango tree roots. Discussed would them and would tip workers. last draw came when they mowed down my Lily plants i had been growing for the last 3 years. Gil didn’t even care to try and find a solution. Don’t really know if he even cares about the business anymore to be honest.

Gil did a wonderful job in completing the yard renovation. This is the second job he has done for us and we would highly recommend him.
