Reviews of local pros in Palmetto, Florida

Jaciel is great to work with. They did an awesome job with sod and landscaping! Do what they say they'll do and you don't have to worry about it.

I have been so pleased with the responsiveness, quality of work as well being punctual. Jaciel is a man of his word. I would recommend his company 100%!!!

Landscape by Design of Palmetto did a wonderful job landscaping the front of my home. I could not be happier with the outcome. They were very professional, knowledgeable and did an excellent design.

I Requested a quote for sod. Jaciel Del Rosario, the owner of Landscape by Design Of Palmetto, responded immediately and arranged for an estimate. Jaciel Del Rosario arrived on time and provided a quote with several options. His pricing was very reasonable. On the start date, Jaciel Del Rosario and crew were prompt, did a marvelous job of removing old sod and prepping area. The cleanup was immaculate. On the start date for replacing the sod, Jaciel Del Rosario and his crew were early, and did an outstanding job and by far exceeded my expectations. The sod was fresh as if cut within hours, and the installation was flawless with all sprinklers being aligned and exposed. The cleanup was again immaculate. Jaciel Del Rosario even fixed a few spots of an elderly neighbor for no cost. This company is the BEST. Landscaping and sod may be their product, but exceptional customer service is their business. Job Well done and you have earned my future business.

Purchased a home that needed revision to the front and back beds to include the removal of plants, repositioning of trees, and new plants. Jaciel is knowledgeable and the utmost professional. He reviews plans ahead of time and consistently checked with us as it progresses for satisfaction. His attention to detail is spot on. He checked irrigation both within the bed and the grass to make sure the plants were neither over watered or under watered. His follow up was great. After the work was completed, he came out to make sure everything was doing well. Nothing but praise for our experience.

Very pleased with Landscape By Design. They designed and installed our landscape (beautiful) and now do the maintenance. Jaciel is very responsive to any question or problem. I would highly recommend

Working with Landscape by Design of Palmetto has been an absolutely wonderful experience, from the design consultation to the completion of our new landscaping. We loved working with them so much that we hired them again to keep everything looking just as beautiful as the day they planted. We highly recommend them to everyone we talk to!

We are so pleased with Landscape By Design of Palmetto! Late on Friday afternoon Jaciel saw that we had recently installed a pool and stopped by to offer his business card, my husband walked our property with him and discussed what we wanted. (We had been trying for two months to get our HOA landscaper to landscape around our pool and it was nothing but delays!) Landscape By Design sent a proposal on Monday, we accepted it and they started the work on Wednesday!! In less than a week they did what the HOA people couldn't do in two months! And, they did more than just landscaping, they also fixed the issues we had with our irrigation and regraded the property so that it will drain properly.

Jaciel and his wife Yarumi were a pleasure to work with. Outstanding results! They listened to what we wanted and then delivered even more. I highly recommend Jaciel and his company!

I have been a customer of Landscape By Design for the past 3 years. This company is excellent in the design and service aspects of landscaping. They manage lawncare as well as the irrigation system. If I have a problem, it is responded to immediately and the problem is corrected within 24-48 hours. I am extremely satisfied with Landscape By Design and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a professional, honest and efficient landscaping company.

We hired Landscape By Design of Palmetto Jaciel and Yarumi. At first they seemed great came out and we had to pay $450 for the design cad which was then applied to the install fee. The design was nice and they installed on time. They sold us some very expensive exotic materials and they will not tell you want each plant costs b/c they are not charging tax. However, some of the exotic palms died very quickly and Jaciel and Yarumi would not stand by the 1 year plant warranty they said they would provide. They became very rude and aggressive with me and talked down to me like I was stupid. Basically, you have to do everything their way or they will not back their work or product. Additionally, they will try and sell you on their maintenance plan which they say extends your warranty. Lastly, Jaciel was extremely rude to my neighbor and told him when he was ready to have his new landscaping fixed he should call him. These people just are not nice and professional.

So I reached out to Landscape By Design of Palmetto via their website on 10/23/25 to inquire about rerouting my existing drip tubing and adding landscaping fabric for our rocks. Surprisingly, I received an immediate response from Yarumi asking me to send her pictures of the area in question. This email was immediately followed up by a phone call/voicemail but I unfortunately was unable to return it due to work obligations that evening. So fast forward to the next day, I decided to return their phone call in hopes that I could talk to either Yarumi or any office representative to better explain the project in question. I want to state, the communication up to this point has been great - very responsive company that seemed eager to gain my business. So I called Yarumi back and a gentleman answered instead (I didn’t catch his name unfortunately but I assume he was either the owner or office manager based on the way he was handling me). I simply explained that I was returning Yarumi’s phone call from yesterday and that I was eager to see how they could assist me on my project for the front lawn. The gentleman was pretty straightforward and explained the pricing very well. He further explained that someone will need to come out and do an initial assessment of the area. Based on the assessment, the price could fluctuate from there. But he assured me that was indeed a project that their team could handle so I stated I wanted to move forward. So after this brief convo and he stated to text the number that I called and provide my name, address and a brief description of what we just talked about. (So far so good up to this point). After we hung up, I proceeded to follow his instructions, text the number that I just called and provide the details of our encounter……And this is how we arrive at the 1-Star review. At the time of this review 11/03/25 there has been no phone call, no text, no email, no one at my house for an assessment…just crickets. I normally would just keep it pushing and find another landscaping company (and there are plenty in Parrish as this new up and coming area). But I have to blast any company that will blatantly ghost me. Weird way to build rapport with customers and gain their business. I am willing to drop screenshots if necessary in case they try to rebuttal - I see how they respond on Google to any adverse reviews.

Amazing experience. I’ve called other places for quotes and they are the only ones who responded in a timely fashion, amazing quote & excellent work.

I’ve wanted to do something with my backyard for a while and when I found Landscapes by Design of Palmetto my instructions were that I wanted a patio surrounded by an oasis. I worked with Yarumi and Jaciel and they definitely delivered. If you hire them you won’t be disappointed.

5 stars for this wonderful crew. Jaciel came recommended by the pool company I used and he and his crew were wonderful. Jaciel is WONDERFUL!! Excellent communicator and answered all questions I had. They worked quickly and efficiently and the yard looks wonderful!! It is so nice and green- no longer the dead grass/dirt pit i was living at ☺️

I had such an incredible experience with this company from beginning to finish. They were very patient as I had to wait for my HOA approval. Communication was top-tier. They listened to my design concept and delivered 100%. They were on time and professional left everything clean, and beautiful when finished.
I can’t express how happy I am that I chose this company for my front and backyard transformation. Highly recommend this family owned and operated business!

We are extremely happy with the quality of work Jaciel and his team at Landscape By Design delivered. The project was completed on time, and the attention to detail was excellent from start to finish.

What really set Jaciel apart was his communication. We were in Michigan while the work was being done, and he kept us informed every step of the way with updates and clarity, which gave us a lot of confidence in the process.

Highly recommend Jaciel and Landscape By Design to anyone looking for quality, professionalism, and great communication.
