Landscaping reviews in Safety Harbor, Florida

I’m late to add my review, but I had to write a review to recommend Matt and his team for the work they did. I had an above ground pool that was broken and an eyesore at my property. When I made the appointment, I had no idea what I even wanted. Matt took his time to go over ideas, and eventually came to the decision on having it removed and replaced with a pavered patio space. It came out great, and they did a lot of work in the two days they were here. Matt and his team will do awesome work if you book them, at reasonable prices (I had quotes to take out and fill the whole with first for not much less than this costs). Get your project done with them, you won’t regret it

Flawless work by Matt and the whole crew here.

Tampa Hardscapes / Matt Rochelle: Absolute Perfection!

I have completely renovated our home from the inside out. Floor to ceiling, front yard, backyard, roof, doors, windows, swimming pool, landscaping, the whole thing. I have worked with a lot of contractors, a lot! Some very good and others very bad. But Matt Rochelle and his team at Tampa Hardscapes are in a category entirely their own. You can stop reading here and just hire Matt. He will do a great job, no doubt.

What they created on my property is a work of art. It took my house from cute to WOW. From the street, a grand-scale paver installation featuring two distinct paver patterns and tones. The details are pure craftsmanship. The aerial shots look like something out of a magazine! (Note: the drone images show a tanner tone than the actual color — see the street-level shots for color accuracy. These are Flagstone pavers in the charcoal/white/tan Heritage collection with Freedom band and accent pavers.)

Structurally, my house sits at nearly the lowest point on the property, so water has always been a real concern. We already had an elaborate drainage system under the surface, but Matt went even further, he designed a repitched driveway to direct water toward the retaining ditch at the street, and built up the front so the walkway now slopes away from my front door. He made it work!

Patrick led the crew on-site and the execution was flawless. Every line is clean. Every curve is intentional. The circular raised planting beds framed in hand-laid stacked stone retaining walls flow seamlessly into the paver layout. Matt is a landscape design architect extraordinaire and Patrick a master craftsman.

Here is what set them apart beyond the finished product: they showed up on time, every day. They worked hard every day. They kept the job site clean throughout the entire project. And this tells you everything you need to know about their work... They spent hours just walking the front of my property examining every detail to make sure it was perfect. AND THEN Matt handed me a stick of chalk and told me to mark anything, any tiny detail I wasn't completely happy with, and they would take care of it. No pushback. No excuses. Just done. That kind of accountability and pride in their craft is so very rare and appreciated!

The scale of this project was enormous. From the drone shots you can see just how cohesive and thoughtfully planned the entire layout is across the full property. They worked fast without sacrificing quality…. gorgeous results, hardworking team, seamless experience from start to finish.

If you are considering hardscaping, a paver driveway, or any landscaping work in the Tampa Bay area, stop looking. Call Matt Rochelle at Tampa Hardscapes. You will not regret it for a single second.

Matt and his crew were amazing, right from the start. He listened to what I wanted and designed a “no mow” front lawn. His design was beautiful and the finished product was exactly what he designed. He was great at communicating and very easy to work with. The crew came every day until the job was done. They worked all day each day. The project was not complete until I was given instructions on how to keep this beautiful landscape, beautiful. I highly recommend Matt and crew, don’t hesitate. Thanks Matt and the hard working crew.

Matt and his team did an amazing transformation of our backyard and pool deck. We couldn’t be happier with the end result. He guides you through the entire process with drawings and explanations to ensure you know exactly how things are going to happen. He was always quick to address any issues we had with the installation and very responsive to any calls or texts. We will definitely use him going forward with future plans we have.

Best in the Business. Very fair Pricing. Very Creative Company.

Great job. Started on time. Finished on time and clean up as promised. I will hire them again.

Matt was exceptional, prompt, and professional! I highly recommend my outdoor living space is the absolutely stunning.

Tampa Hardscapes did an awesome job on our driveway and patio. They were prompt and professional. I highly recommend them to anyone who needs pavers or landscape.

I hired Matt and his team to do a brick pavers patio and resurface my pool area with brick pavers. I was very pleased with the finished work. He is polite, professional, and easy to access.

So thrilled with the total experience and quality of workmanship! My family loves our new outdoor space and we highly recommend Tampa Hardscapes to everyone we know. Great work, fair price, awesome people!!

Tampa Hardscapes was the only company I contacted that got back to me within 24 hours, came out to meet with me the same week, and followed through with providing me a design/estimate. Matt’s communication through the process, attention to detail, and quality are unmatched! Thanks for making my vision a reality for our outdoor living area!

Amazing company to work with!!

I had Tampa Hardscapes come out to give me a quote on doing my driveway, back patio pavers, and design retaining wall for my landscaping. The owner came out personally and walked the property with me and really took the time to find out what I was imagining and what was important to me. They were very reasonable on price and super expedient on timeline. They also had the jobsite extremely tidy and clean, which is very important to me. (I have two small kids and my wife was very very pregnant at the time, it was super important to me to not be living in a construction zone for an extended period of time)

They added some designs and borders to my idea that I would have never thought of, and it came out great! I get compliments from all the neighbors.

The Owner Matt even stopped by 2 months later just to check on how everything was holding up, that the finishing sand was taken correctly, and to make sure that the quality of work was correctly.

You just don't get this level of professionalism and pride that should come with every craft and craftsman these days, but this company still has that old school integrity. I usually am not one to write reviews, but I have to say, I was so impressed that I was compelled to do it this time. If there was an option to give 10 stars I would!

So appreciative and thankful that I found this company. Thanks guys!

Matt and his crew did a fantastic job, first removing a dozen or so very mature boxwoods, and then transforming the yard into a great-looking, much lower maintenance hardscape. From design phase to finish, the project was executed in an excellent, professional manner. I highly recommend Tampa Hardscapes.

Matt and the group of workers that came to do our wall and patio were outstanding. Followed up on and took care of everything that had been discussed prior to the work. Even came back on Saturday morning to take care of one last issue. Great people. 5 Star!

We ran by to see some his hardscaping work and all of his work looked fantastic. We were familiar with the home previously and the transformation was amazing! The pavered driveway is gorgeous and it transitioned into the walkway seemlessly. Their work was the best paver hardscape we've ever seen.

We just had our patio pavers repaired and extended and also had walkway put in. I am so very happy we chose Tampa Hardscapes to the job for us. They were on time, very professional and I highly recommend them. They actually do a professional diagram and present it to you for your approval. 10 out of 10 for sure❤️❤️

Matt came out and met with me to look at my project. We put in a driveway and outdoor living space in the back yard. He was awesome throughout the entire process from the design to the installation. The attention to detail and his ability to hear what we need and find a solution that worked is amazing. I highly recommend anyone who needs outdoor work to call Matt! He’s an awesome human being and business owner.
