As I was a iicrc technician myself a few years ago I decided to go to the iicrc web site to find a company who would know how to clean my very abused carpet in my living room. I called accent and theres no doubt they know what there doing. However maybe the tech was having a bad day or they just dont really care about the small jobs not sure. They showed up on time, set up and started the job, heres where things started going south first he didn't vacuum which is always step 1, second when he presprayed he soaked my carpet, he said he had to in order to get it clean it was extremely dirty. Then he cleaned it and it looked good, but next problem he didnt make any extra drying passes with machine to extract excess water which led to the third and most important problem it took almost 2 days to dry and created a serious wicking problem carpet now looks worse than it did before he showed up. I told my daughter inlaw not to use her friends hoover carpet cleaner because I didn't want this to happen. Also he didnt groom the carpet before leaving. Its a shame he has all the certifications and knowledge but just does crappie work or doesnt care about the small jobs. I should call iicrc and complain but ill leave it here.
For those who dont know what wicking is its where as the moisture in the backing of the carpet and the pad evaporates it pulls the dirt in the backing to the surface of the carpet. This is why its essential that it not take more than a few hours for carpet to dry once cleaned. Also he only moved one of two couches and cleaned under it and didnt place any styrofoam or plastic tabs under furniture legs he did move. PS in response to accent i didnt call you because I fixed it myself after it finally dried by going over it with a bonnet cleaning which I still own all the equipment to do. With your training and certifications non of this should of been a issue. As I remember one of the first things they teach in training is do it right the first time, saves time money and you get a happy customer who will use you time after time.

From carpet cleaning, to tile and grout cleaning, to car seats and carpet, Accent American has been great. On time, excellent cleaning, stain removal, etc. They are the best, worth every penny.

Just had a visit from Ken from Accent America for a mold problem under kitchen sink and it was beyond bad from start to finish. Would not recommend this company for any type of mold issue or otherwise. Showed up 30 minutes early while I was working with no notice. Ok, not the worst thing that could happen. Contractor did not have shoe coverings so I offered him some and he refused even though we don’t wear shoes in our home, ever. He also appeared to be sick. Congestion, coughing and eyes as red as blood. Due to my daughter having compromised immunity I asked him to wear a mask and he refused and got quite loud about the fact he won’t wear a mask or shoe booties. Against my better judgement I let him in, big mistake! He initially says he doesn’t smell mold and could barely get down to look under the sink. Said he has bad knees. Didn’t have a flashlight to even see properly under the dark sink cabinets and just took a quick look and said he doesn’t see anything no mold. He was very loud and kept claiming to be an expert but contradicted himself repeatedly. I have already had someone out that found the mold and I too both see and smell the mold. A rather loud debate ensued about the fact that there is mold and he kept walking towards me although I kept trying to keep my distance from him. He was pacing all over my kitchen and living room coughing and the whole thing was quite scary. I asked him to please leave and he did. His recommendation was an air quality test but that is not sufficient if there is mold behind cabinets especially if it’s stachybotris“black mold”. So while he claims to be an expert, I too know a little something about mold after losing our home and all our belongings to it. Yes an air quality test would be a good starting place but may not pick up “black mold” because that is not an air borne mold. Whole thing was a complete waste of time and now I’m very concerned about what sickness he just brought into our home, HORRIBLE!!!

I have had Accent American come out on a couple of occasion to clean my carpet and furniture. They removed some stains that I didn't think would ever come out. They did an awesome job and I recommend everyone use them.

A description of a minor miracle performed by Accent American:

When visiting a friend several years ago, I mentioned to her how much I liked her large living room area rug. She has a great memory, because a couple of years later when her elderly dog began having accidents during the day when he was home alone - on the beautiful rug - she made a point to mention it to me. "I'm so sorry the rug you like so much is going in the trash..." Well, I wanted to try to save it, so she dubiously gave it to me and I managed to wedge it into the minivan.

She was perfectly justified to think that it was ruined. The dog had suffered incontinence much longer than anyone had suspected, so the urine stains had urine stains and I was wretching from the smell as I drove home with all the windows down. I had met the owner of Accent American many times but never had the occasion to use their services, but knew that one of their specialties was rug cleaning, even fine Oriental rugs, so I gave them a call to ask if it was possible for the rug to be saved. It had to be very very clean, as I have animals of my own and if they thought that I had brought another animals territory into their home they would have marked all over it.

I cannot believe how clean they managed to get it; the rug looks brand new. Not a whiff of scent, and my dog and cat have no idea that it didn't come straight from a store brand new. Neither do any of my guests. Thank you, Accent American!
