One of your drivers almost hit me. Dual left turn lanes and he veered into my lane while i was Next to him to make a u turn. Almost hit my brand new car.

Not surprised based on how low they’re already rated on Google that their drivers don’t know how to actually drive.

Davey has been hired by my electric service provider, WREC, to trim up around the power lines. They arrived at my house (in Weeki Wachee) at 0900 on Saturday, 20JAN24. The gentleman rang my doorbell to advise me of their intentions, but apologized profusely for the 'early' hour. He and his crew were VERY kind, polite and respectful. They had several trees/limbs that needed complete removal, yet they were up and running and completed in under an hour. The job was done professionally and efficiently. They did not "hack them up", as others have reported. The fact that it was a Saturday Job, they COULD HAVE lolly-gagged and dragged it out, but they DID NOT. No trash/debris was left behind either.
**I would also like to note: The crew was very clean and clean-cut, and NOT A SINGLE foul word came out of their mouths.
I believe they should be commended for their OUTSTANDING demeanor and work ethic!

Not only Davey workers trespassed my property they stole electricity off of my garage external outlets. I called the company to report the incident and no one gave me a call back. Homeowners beware. Their employees are thieves. I have everything on camera.

UPDATE:
Someone from the corporate showed up at the door today and apologized for what those employees did and also offered us a solution for the problem in case if it happens again which is all we needed to tackle this problem. We appreciate the visit and the apology.

I had power outage due to hurricane Milton. Davey tree co. Went into my back yard to cut limbs off the line so Teco can restore power in our community. They cut down several big big tree trucks and destroyed my banana tress and mango trees. They just left all the tree trunks in my yard. I just hand some one to clean up and cut limbs from the storm. Now my back yard is wrost what hurricane milton did. I will be reaching out to Teco.

Idiots! They trimmed my self cleaning palms that have been wrecked after two hurricanes this year! Now the coldest nights of the year freezing temperatures won’t help after the just butcher them. They know nothing about trees, they are the worst service ever. They HOA switched from BrightView huge mistake. The blades on mowers so dull rips the grass tips and my lawn goes from green to brown. I would never use them run as fast as you can

Now they keep pushing back our community lawn service scheduled each Saturday. Said it would be Monday due to rain and staffing issues. Has been no rain here. They butcher the lawn when they are here and now it’s up to my knees! They are horrible all the way around. Make excuses constantly, missed the entire side of my lawn and when they came out said will not happen again. They won’t even mow until next visit!

The worst tree company I’ve seen. They butcher everything and could not care less about aesthetics.

Contracted by teco to clean the trees up around the power lines and they done it Up and down my street and they put everybody's tree debris in my yard twenty foot wide by five foot tall and left it. Now.
Here I am a disabled veteran.Probably facing code enforcement tickets because of these people, teco should be ashamed of hiring such butchers.Such property abuse of as this davey tree company. To damage people's property and leave a mess is unacceptable.They are notorious for damaging people's property and leaving the scene. And they don't want to be responsible as they will not answer their phone at Davey tree service.

Their people need to learn how to drive it was on 301 by interstate 75 this afternoon and a white tree truck pulling a trailer driven by an older man white hair with glasses on was absolutely driving like a maniac cutting people off almost caused me to wreck. Luckily I was paying attention And then the guy wants to get mad at me and throw his hands up and flipped me off.

On 7/3/24 the cable service line from the pole to my house was was torn down. A recent repair by the cable service may have placed the line too low. Davey Tree Company was working in the area and noticed the line down. They kept me advised of the problem and contacted my carrier who then was able to repair the line more quickly. Thanks to Davey Tree Company for being professional and a "good Samaritan".

I recently had the pleasure of working with Amy from Davey Landscaping. I couldn't be happier with the results! She expertly cleared out all the bushes that had become overgrown. What truly impressed me was that Amy went above and beyond by trimming the branches of my small tree and pulling some persistent weeds. The trimming she did was fantastic. Amy was professional, friendly, and very knowledgeable. My front yard looks fantastic now, and I highly recommend Amy and Davey Landscaping to anyone looking for exceptional landscaping services!"

A few weeks ago, they dropped a limb on the newly installed mailbox at a property that I am preparing to sell while trimming trees near the power lines for TECO in Thonotosassa. I didn't bother complaining or trying to get reimbursed for the damages/cost of replacement because I'm too busy to deal with them. I simply resolved never to do business with this company.

Then, yesterday afternoon, I was at the intersection of Harney Road and US 301. There are two left turn lanes on Harney. I was in the leftmost turn lane, waiting for the light to change with one of Davey's big trucks in the next turn lane beside me. The light changed and we turned north onto US 301. Immediately after we completed the turn, the Davey truck started forcing into my lane (where my car was, directly next to the truck). He continued moving over despite me honking for his attention as I hugged the median to avoid a collision and gunned it to get out of the way. Tell your drivers to check their freaking mirrors and turn their dang heads to ensure the lane is clear before changing lanes! The man *had* to know that my car was near even without looking ...we had just made the same turn and I had been next to his truck at the light!

I'm *done* with reckless commercial drivers and if any hit me despite my attempts to avoid the collision, I'm going to sue for every penny I can get. No, it's not just Davey but it's also not the first bozo driving I have seen from one of their drivers and given the mailbox issue? Yeah. Bad review.

This company damaged my framboyan tree. I have left several messages and no one has called me back! Had no choice to give a star. They’re not professional. I can’t wait to get a return call back. I’ve already filed a complaint with the city!

Davey Tree was hired by my power company to come out and clear some tree limbs that were on or close to the power lines today. They assessed which branches needed to be removed, politely requested I move my car so they don't damage it, and cut my trees very nicely. They didn't remove anything that wasn't needed and they even cleaned up my gavel driveway before leaving. I was very happy with their service and if I ever need to hire a tree guy for myself, I will definitely be calling them!

I wouldn’t recommend this company to anyone. I’d give it zero stars if I could. They had crews out in my neighborhood cutting trees off of the power lines. They told me through the ring door bell they needed to access my back yard to get to some of the lines. Which was fine but I had a few questions. I asked what kind of equipment would they be using because my drain field spans my whole back yard and I didn’t want any heavy trucks or equipment going over it to prevent crushing it. The guy just ignored that and walked away. I got home from work. They dug a huge hole in my yard and ripped all the grass up in a spot 2ft by 2ft. There was a 12ft. Drag mark about 12 inches wide and 4 inches deep that all the grass got tore up there as well. Then crushed some of our plants right up against my porch wall. The plants and where they tore the grass up is no where near the fence line where the power lines are. Didn’t try to fix any of it and didn’t come back to the door to let me know about it. Very unprofessional and would never use this company for anything. I called to speak to a supervisor and of course no answer. Left a voicemail with a return number to call me back and still no call back. Very unprofessional crews.

Need to teach your drivers the laws of the road.

Driver ran me off the road and nearly caused an accident! Tried to report it but nobody ever called me back and the receptionist laughed and didn’t care. After reading the other reviews, I see this is a common issue. So sad.

Your company absolutely destroyed my 100 year Oak. Zero professionalism, awful attitudes from workers. Hope you have really good lawyers. You're definitely going to need them.

I have already spoken to several arborists, they all agree that you guys completely butchered this tree. I will do everything in my power to make sure your company is dropped from county work/Teco so your company will not butcher any more beautiful trees in the City of Bartow.

1.9 Stars out of 5? That's what the county deems good?? Shame on all parties involved.

Your work was abysmal. Truly awful.

Also to the owner who replied to this review, you have to speak to your management? You are the owner correct?

I can clearly see you have multiple poor driving reviews in the past few weeks. So your employees can't drive, you don't send professional arborists, what do you do correct?

Driver of the ford f250, has been driving like a complete fool for the past 30 minutes. I’m driving on I4 and watching this fool cut people off, constantly switch lanes with zero blinker. Extremely aggressive for no reason.
Following cars at 85+ mph with less than a car length in between.
Racing to try an get one more car ahead of the next person.
When we hit a slowdown because of construction, they had to keep pushing into other lanes and almost sitting on other drivers bumpers. There is zero reason he should be driving like that.

Davey Tree service butchered my tree in my front yard. It looks like they sliced it in half. When I called to get someone from Davey tree service to come fix my tree I was told they were within code and wouldn’t do anything. Their Representatives admitted they he wouldn’t want a tree that looked like this is his yard. Jason McCluskey at Davey tree service has stopped responding to me and has not attempted to come see what his company did to my tree. Why do I have to come out of pocket when they butchered my tree?

Davey maintainence just backed into our mailbox with the tailgate down. A guest visitng our house happened to go out to their car and saw it all happen and screamed as the truck was pulling away with an open tailgate.

This happened on a Friday afternoon.On Saturday Wally Schultz was at our house and a new bracket will be installed to the mailbox and complete the repair on Monday. I appreciate the follow up and commend Production Manager for the oustanding follow up on the weekend.

These people should never touch a chainsaw they completely butchered my Laurel Oak with absolutely no notice. Thank god my neighbor came and got me so I could save some of my tree. Cut off massive limbs all that was trimmed 2 months ago and were nowhere near the power lines. After waiting 30 minutes for a supervisor to arrive on site all I got was TECO said TECO said but took no accountability for butchering my tree. I say my trees going to die you cut off half and he says it won’t die it looks healthy. Well so am I but if you cut me annd half that won’t last long. Then they have left trees and branches in my neighbors yards that where closer to the power lines then any of my whole tree but I guess everyone there just eyeballs it. You should be ashamed to have tree and expert in your name and TECO should be ashamed to hire you. No wonder you only have 2 stars.
