John's AC technicians are very professional, thorough and NEVER try to sell you products or services you don't need. This company is one of the few that actually care about their reputation and their customers. Hats off to John for hiring quality, caring individuals that follow his example of being honest and trustworthy. I personally used them and I had another company tell me I needed to replace my unit, John's AC did a service and the AC is still running great. I referred them to a friend and she was impressed as well. Again, they did not try to sell her anything she did not need. John's AC has restored my faith that their are still good businesses out there. Keep up the great work. 💯

Having a maintenance plan with John’s A. C. gives me peace of mind when it comes to the care and upkeep of my a. c. unit. Jake was just here for routine maintenance on my unit. Jake is personable and was efficient and quick and gave my unit a clean bill of health. He explained everything to me in a way that was easy for me to understand. John’s A. C. is lucky to have an employee like Jake. And I feel lucky to have John’s A. C. to look after my a. c. unit!

I wanted to thank Dayron again for kindly giving up part of his Sunday to come out and tend to my air conditioning unit which had decided it was a good time to just…stop! Dayron quickly assessed the situation, had the part needed to fix it, and had it up and running in no time. John’s Air Conditioning and Heating Service is fortunate to have such a knowledgeable and personable employee like Dayron. And I continue to appreciate having John’s A. C. to care for my a. c. unit. -
Great guys!! Glad I went with John’s Air Conditioning and Heating for my new system, excellent communication from start to finish. Jake stood out as the technician that was a perfectionist and paid attention to the details. Jake promptly came out to check over the system after it was installed and corrected any concerns that I had. Jake understood how to correctly charge the new air conditioning system after the installation crew finished. The installation determines how long the system will last.

I've been a customer of John's Air since late 2019 and been very happy with their service. I was informed that John retired in March 2024 and Sun Air has taken over the business. My AC stopped working overnight Aug 16th. I called overnight number to report the issue. I waited until 9:35 AM and called company after receiving no response to overnight, emergency call of no AC and was told that the earliest appt was the next day between 2-5 pm. I advised that I'd have to call another company, as it is mid August in Florida and was the women said "Good luck finding someone who can come out same day." Really? An outage is not a priority? So I called Southern Heating & Air Conditioning. They sent a tech put within 45 minutes and had a resolution within 15 minutes of arrival on my property. I never received such inconsiderate service when John owned the business. Such a sad situation. But I have now switched my AC service to Southern Heating and Air Conditioning Service. Thank you John for the service you provided, but does not appear that Sun Air (who took over your busines) has the same dedication that you did. 😥

They are no longer John’s heating and air. They are Sun Air and they’re over priced, unreliable and lie about what your AC needs. Or maybe they hire inexperienced tech. First, their office person tells me they can’t check the portal where people are entering service call information because she’s the only one that does it and she was out sick. That’s why it took them three days to get to my house. Then the tech tells me I need new coils, that my coils are leaking. He leaves and he’s going to, get right back to us with a price and figure out if they’re under warranty and he never does. We called another company out there who said there was absolutely nothing wrong with the coils. In another house SunAir charged me $283 to clear a condensate drain. John’s would’ve NEVER charged that much. Why did the condensate drain back up if it’s got a valve that’s supposed to shut the air conditioner off if it backs up? I asked if he checked to be sure that the valve was working and he told me it was working now. Well, that didn’t answer my question. Why didn’t it work when it was supposed to? No answer. They also didn’t honor the maintenance contract. I had purchased with John for either one of my houses. Sunair told me that I never purchased a maintenance contract, which was another lie. I had a maintenance contract with John Air for several years. Anyway, stay away from these people. Johns Heating & Air had all good reviews. Sunair is just using these reviews to get customers.

RUN! This company was purchased in April 2024 and is no longer uses the same owner and technicians I have used for many years. I purchased a maintenance contract with John's and followed up in May 2024 when I realized no one had come out as promised for scheduled 6-month maintenance that was paid for for February 2024. So if you are thinking this is the John's you have used for years, it's not.
From May email to new owner: I had pre-paid for a service contract with John's Air on 8/23/23 for $185, which included a pre-paid maintenance visit in February 2024. I called the office today, as it has been 3 months and no one had contacted me to schedule the pre-paid maintenance.
This is a different company with different employees who I did not enter into a contract with. After doing some online research and reading recent reviews, I am requesting a refund for the amount of the 2nd service call which was never performed nor was I contacted to schedule the visit after 3 months. I entered into this agreement because of an established relationship with John's Air, and eventually purchasing a new system with John's Air when the time came, based upon the quality of service they provided for years. Based on the reviews I noted below for your company, I am requesting a refund, as I don't believe your company can meet the quality of service requirement previously provided by John's Air, which is what I have paid for. You can find these reviews easily.

They installed a replacement 3 ton system. It keeps leaking cold air in the garage around the duct to air handler. They have been out 4 times and still not fixed. After 3 weeks the mastech they put around the duct is still wet and dripping. My neighbors have seen them out here so much trying to fix this that they now know who not to call. Guess I will keep patching the leaks myself. Got no paper work on the new system or a manual with the new thermostat. No warranty papers.
Will have to find someone who can fix there mistakes.

Buyer BEWARE! Run, DON’T DO IT! Scam artists that will provide bad install, then come and charge for individual so called faulty parts and installation. They will drain your pockets with Inexperienced technicians that will lie to make a profit. Trust me, my kids and I were in the heat without ac because of their schemes. Go with someone else. Oh and don’t try to contact ownership/management they will have their secretary try and appease you while they hide and dodge. Go with someone else more experienced, trustworthy, reputable and fair.
I'd rather be out $92.50 than waste additional time/money with an ac company that will most likely do a sub-par installation of a new unit when the time comes. I use a maintenance contract to build a relationship so I'm comfortable buying a new unit when the time comes. The original owner undid lots of damage done by a poor install by another AC company with "excellent" reviews but that 4.9 star review was for minor issues and not major installations as I soon learned. Former owner John was the best and so sorry he sold his business.
New owner accounting dept said to request a refund from the previous owner or dispute the credit card charge from 9 months ago. Or request a refund from the previous owner for which I only have the number the new owner is using along with John's former website, so not sure how to do that. Accounting does not know you can't dispute 9-month credit card charges? wow Told to contact former owner, but all I have is the number and website I used and it directed me to the new company. They answered the phone as "John's" but when I started asking about the maintenance agreement and no one coming out in February, then I was told they bought the company in April 2024.
Didn't think Google would let me give the name of the new company that owns them but if you call John's current number on their current website, tell them you would like to speak to the owner John and see what they tell you, since he sold the company months ago. -
**Update**
I received a call from the owner John. He made no excuses and his apology was sincere. I appreciate the response from the owner.

I can not recommend this company. After a power outage in my neighborhood, my 7 yr old AC unit would no longer power on. I called John's air conditioning for a service call. The tech arrived and informed me that I needed a new blower motor, fan control board and capacitor. The tech did not quote me a price on repairs. He stated another person will come by in an hour to discuss options and charged me a $79 service fee. (The tech also left without putting the capacitor in its proper spot- . He just left it hanging. - -attached pic- - He also didn't screw back in the blower and left the blower's screw on top of the panel.)
The sales person arrived and was focused on selling me a new AC unit. Only quote he provided before leaving was for a new AC unit. I had to call to request a quote to repair the issue. The quote to repair the AC was $1100+. The quote for a new unit was $7200+. I was warned against the repair because the issue could happen again.
I contacted another local company who also came out later in the day. This other company was able to correctly isolate the issue. The issue had nothing to do with what John's Air Conditioning stated. My 2012 AC unit didn't need any of the repairs mentioned and definitely did not need to be replaced. I would strongly suggest getting a 2nd opinion before selecting this company. -
The original owners completely screwed me!!They pulled no permit and did a horrible install. They put holes in my walls and ceilings and did not repair them they shoved my child’s baby blankets into the walls and foamed them in and tried to cover the drywall damage they did with my child’s sticker that were in his room. Nothing has worked properly since installing. I have mold issues do to poor and improper installation. I have had multiple hvac companies tell me they had no idea what they were doing or just didn’t care. The list is endless $10k for nothing they took the money and ran off and sold the business. They are lucky the 10k spent and waisted on them put me in a financial situation I couldn’t afford to sue them cause I would. If this guy ever opens another hvac company I will make sure he never has a customer. They cut up my garden hose for drain lines used old bad plywood out of the back of my truck to repair the hole of the wall unit they pulled out cause they forgot to bring the supplies they said they would bring. Nothing they did works and has only caused more problems. This is 3 years later and I would have been better off installing everything myself. Absolute joke John’s AC was!!!!!! I would give negative stars if I could
