Varsity Zone Tampa was exceptional! Jesse (technician) and Kevin (GM) were incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, efficient, and effective, solving an ongoing heating problem on the first try!
We’d been struggling with our heat pump for over a year and had been using a different HVAC company (with a maintenance contract). Last winter, they charged us ~$450 to “fix” the heat, but when it got cold this November, the heating still wasn’t working. They came out again, told us the heat pump had been bypassed and needed a new circuit board, and we paid for that repair. Less than two weeks later, the heat was still unreliable. This time they sent a senior technician who found yet another issue requiring a full system evacuation, new parts, and $1,500–$2,000 in additional costs (with a 10–12 day wait).
After spending nearly $2,000 on repairs that never fully resolved the problem on our 9-year-old unit, we decided to get a second opinion before committing to another major expense.
I’m so glad we called Varsity Zone Tampa. Jesse and Kevin arrived on time, were extremely professional and personable, and immediately put us at ease. They performed a thorough indoor and outdoor inspection of both of our units (not just the problematic one), ran comprehensive diagnostics, reset the thermostats and air handlers, and got the entire system running perfectly, pumping out hot air in no time. The heat has been working flawlessly ever since.
To say we were relieved is an understatement! Jesse and Kevin saved us thousands of dollars, restored our confidence in honest HVAC service, and turned a frustrating situation into a positive experience.
