Had an amazing experience with Jonathan on work to my condo (drywall/floor repair) prior to selling. He was straight forward, responsive and prompt throughout the process and extremely helpful, especially when unforeseen issues came about during the process. Would highly recommended!

DogGone Handy did a great reconstruction/painting job at my place of business so I called them to do some work at our condo. Everything from the quote to the completion of the job was handled professionally and well above my expectations. I plan to continue working with them as more and more of our home overhaul comes into focus.
TJ was here on time and worked consistently and conscientiously until the job was completed. He really had his work cut out for him and the finished job looks great. Thanks Jonathan and TJ! -
Dog Gone Handy was fantastic! Prompt, efficient and professional. Everything you would want in a handyman service! The technician was very knowledgeable, a jack-of-all-trades, and tackled various repair projects throughout my home. If you have home improvement or repair tasks, and don't have the time or the ability to deal with them, I would highly recommend Dog Gone Handy. I know I will be calling them again!

I was looking for a contractor to replace my shower pan. I could have done it myself but didn't have the time. But I knew exactly how much work and money the job was going to require. These guys quoted me $5k more than the next contractor - and so I ended up not using Dog Gone Handy. During the quotes they mentioned counting the steps to go up and down carrying trash, tools, etc. I suppose they had no idea I wasn't that stupid. Men complaining about going up and down the stairs? LOL I don't know how the work is, but i can tell you that they'll pull a fast one on you if they can with price. Please shop around. You might end up saving $5k like i did. Nothing on the work since I ended up not using them. But they are not honest for sure.

Was referred to them by another siding company because my siding repair job was small. I did not need an entire wall rebuilt. As they requested, I sent several photos of the damaged area. After waiting a week I was told someone needed to come out to give me an estimate. When I got back with them a week later to schedule a time for them to come out, I once again stated that I only wanted the damaged area repaired and the cabinet pushed back against the wall. The guy emailed me back and said they would have to repair the entire wall because some studs were broken. Well, okay, if they knew that then I shouldn't have had to a week for them to tell me someone needed to come out. I still said it was fine to come out and give me a quote but that I only wanted the small damaged area repaired...then he replied back that they couldn't do my project. Three weeks wasted. Thank goodness for other companies who can come out and repair that one damaged area as I ask.

DogGoneHandy recently replaced a double window in our bedroom - a major undertaking. We couldn't be happier with the results. Everyone, from start to finish, was extremely friendly, professional, and more than willing and able to accommodate last-minute change requests. They left our place clean each time (they had to come more than once to finish the job). They also went the extra mile to make sure everything was done right when they could have cut corners like so many others do. We highly recommend them.

Save yourself the trouble and hire someone else. I hired them to replace two sets of French doors and repair some decaying windows. One set of French doors doesn't stay closed unless dead bolted, they cracked one of my windows and didn't even attempt to fix the other ones, they told me all the work would take 3 days, they were here for 6 and didn't even finish the doors, and they charged me double their estimate. I started with two workers, but after one cracked a window (day 4-ish) he mysteriously stopped showing up, and I eventually told the other workman not to come back. Poor quality, over priced, you'll end up redoing the work.

Generally the workmanship was good. I have worked with many different contractors in the past in many different cities and have worked in design-build myself. There’s room for improvement on clearly communicating upfront to the client what tasks are not in the team’s wheelhouse. I hired Doggone expecting all tasks could be completed by their team. Once Jonathan and TJ started working on the job, I learned day by day, that some of the tasks could not be completed by them and that I need to call A separate plumber, chimney repair and insulation repair companies. I recommend Jonathan spends more time up front truly assessing what Doggone can and cannot complete. At $80/hr, i don’t want to babysit a handyman and am disappointed after receiving the receipts, that TJ went to Home Depot daily and sometimes 2x a day on a week-long job. He should’ve bought all supplies the first day rather than make daily trips since all the tasks were communicated up front. In my final invoicing, John invoiced me another client’s receipts which had to be corrected as well.
The team is friendly and courteous but not the most efficient and strategic with their time and therefore the client’s time. At the end of the day, I hesitate to hire Doggone Handy for my rental properties. -
DogGoneHandy was terrific! They came out to help me with some exterior trim rot and replaced a window for me. The technician was on time and courteous and very respectful of my space. He showed up on time and stayed until the job was complete and fully cleaned up. He answered a few other home maintenance questions I had while he was here and I have already scheduled them to come back to install a dog door and replace some interior trim. Great people, great company.

I am very grateful for this company helping me out on my first homeowner project. I had some loose tiles on my shower so I was planning to get the whole thing retiled. I decided on a contractor through Home Depot, but after they completed demolition, they found extensive water damage which would require repairs beyond their capabilities. I was referred to DogGone Handy since they were already working on my condo property. They came in and handled everything seamlessly, even working with my insurance agent to make sure the claim adjuster got the right estimate. Salomon did an amazing job with the shower, not missing a single detail. I couldn’t be happier with the result. Highly recommend these guys and I’ll definitely use them again if needed.

We had DogGoneHandy work on our townhouse prior to moving in. We bought all supplies (flooring, vanity, cabinets, etc.) and they installed. All work was done with professionalism and timeliness. Jonathan worked with us on designing and building a custom bar in our living room. We’ll use them again soon for other work. We’ve worked with other contractors but DogGone has been the best.

We asked DGH to refinish and install an antique Victorian door and they did a fantastic job. The team took special care to maintain the integrity of the very special antique door while also fitting into our home with new locks. Truly excellent work. The door looks great! Better than we could have imagined.

Doggone Handy was easy to work with and they found a cost-effective way to fix my front door which had been damaged by the sun. They handled the project from start to finish. I will definitely call them again for my next project.

DogGoneHandy did a fabulous job repairing a leak in the end gable of my old and much loved home. A lot was involved--from removing part of an interior and exterior wall and then installing new wooden supports, new insulation, new sheetrock, and redoing the exterior stucco of the end gable. The price was reasonable and the result was top quality. From beginning to end, DogGoneHandy responded quickly to my questions and kept me informed and updated on the progress. Mario is a reliable, skilled, and versatile craftsman who always showed up on time, was pleasant to have around, and left the place clean at the end of each workday.

Way underestimated the amount of labor and total cost of project. Cost ended up being 3 times what they estimated.
In response to Dog Gone Handy’s reply to our initial review:
You absolutely do have our name. You should not try to invalidate this review by trying to imply that we were not your customers.
We did contact you regarding the over pricing and you did come down on the cost a little bit, but overall the cost was significantly higher than the estimate. Even the person that you sent out to do the job said that the number of people and hours required to do it was significantly underestimated. -
$875 to add concrete and two posts with four bolts in each to repair a leaning fence. There was a $75 trip charge for their location 1.2 miles away. Overall, this seems excessive. They did a great job, but I would not recommend. They charge hourly which included the hour it took for concrete to dry.

I hired them to assemble a large outdoor shed and install an electrical outlet. I have used them in the past and they’ve always done a great job, and they did again. Price was higher than quoted, although they did give me a discount. I will use them again when I need handyman services, which come up frequently in our old home.

They made an appointment but never showed or called

Jason and his crew did a great job on my bathroom remodel, would recommend to anyone!

I can tell you, this is an honest man, he will not overcharge you at any time. As long as he is around, he is my man. He painted my house and built my deck
