The crew was amazing and very professional. The manager was extremely friendly. His name is Mr. McNeil. He came out while the crew was working to bring them Gatorade and to check in on them. I could tell that this company has a good employee/employer relationship. The crew kept referring to him as JMac. I asked if I could call him JMac and he said “you can call me whatever you want, just don’t call me late for dinner”. I laughed out loud. We started talking about some options on what would be the right trees for a screen in my backyard. We talked for a while and he told me the history of the company and how he has been with Arborguard for such a long time. It was great to see how well the manager and the employees enjoyed working together. Arborguard is definitely the only tree service for me. A+++

John Powell was wonderful to work with. He and his team worked quickly and efficiently to remove 2 trees and the pruned trees on our property. Each member of the team was courteous and professional. I would highly recommend them!

We have been using arborgaurd for 10 years now. They are an awesome company.

Most recently had the opportunity to work with John Powell. We looked at every tree on our property and he came up with the plan for each one.
Here is the difference with arborguard…. John was here on the service day to ensure that the team doing the work knew exactly what had to be done. John also saw a potential issue with our cherry and just fixed it. What more can you ask for.
WillIe our foreman was also great each step of the way. He ensured that we were completely satisfied with the work several times through out the process.
Willie also had to deal with our pesky neighbors…. He did so with grace.
PSA, if you are a pesky neighbor, stop being a pesky neighbor!

Madeline with Arborguard comes to my home once a year to inject the aging trunk of my cherry tree. She puts in nutrients and a fungicide which have helped my tree enormously. Then she does a feeding of swamp water into the root system of that tree along with 6 others to bloom boost for the upcoming Spring. I highly recommend Arborguard and Madeline to anyone who takes pride in what is growing around your home! The difference wis well worth the price!!

Arborguard was at my house Monday and Tuesday taking care of a several tasks. They were a pleasure to deal with, and I'm very happy with the result. I'll definitely use them again. Soon, in fact, as I discussed an additional project with arborist John Powell while they were there.
One thing they did was to remove a large tree from a tricky spot where they could easily have damaged my house or two AC condenser units below. The only slight hiccup was a cut wire to one of the condensers, which was fixed within an hour at no inconvenience to me.
All in all I'm very pleased, and recommend the company highly.

Arborguard is the most professional tree care company in the business.

I've used Arborguard both personally on my property, and as a member of my neighborhood's HOA board for the very mature trees in our common areas. They've done smaller jobs (removing some storm damaged branches), medium sized jobs (remove a tree), and larger jobs (multi-day pruning on over 2 dozen large trees) throughout our neighborhood. They've done great work every time. On top of that, they leave their worksites as clean or cleaner than they were before they arrived. I couldn't be happier with their work and would highly recommend using their services.

The Arborguard team did a great job from start to finish on a day-long project at my home in Decatur. The work included pruning, tree removal, and cabling. They completed all of it professionally and safely. I have been working Arborguard for 15+ years and would recommend them to anyone without hesitation.

Arborguard has been taking care of our trees for almost 8 years. We use them to take care of our trees (many of them are mature) including the occasional trimming and pruning. Yesterday their crew arrived on time, did a great job trimming back the trees, cleaned up and departed. The trees look great and no one can tell that they were here. What more can you ask for ?

Arborguard runs an excellent arborist service. The entire crew, led by arborist John Powell, and crew foreman Zach, are consummate professionals, highly educated in their craft, fastidious in their work, and very courteous in all that they do. The tree pruning was expertly done with the trimmed trees looking fresher and well proportioned, not that different from the work of an excellent barber. Their cleanup was outstanding and they were also kind enough to remove a dead fallen tree that was nearby, but not on the manifest, nor in their way. Additionally, they took care not to make a mess of the yard with their heavy equipment. Overall, you get excellence when you pay for professionals who love what they do.

Job consisted of:
- trimming a 40+ year white oak,
- rebalancing a younger, stormed damaged white oak via dead mass removal,
- trimming two ornamental trees: a mature Japanese maple, and a 40+ flowering cherry
- ***root collaring and nutrient injection for the Japanese maple, the flowering cherry, and white oak

***At time of this writing, we're still awaiting the tree care technical crew who will handle collaring and nutrient injection for the two ornamental and the large white oak .

I used Arborguard to prune two old oak trees that had never been pruned. I was extremely pleased with the arborist, John Powell and the crew that did the pruning. The crew was very safety conscious and extremely skilled in tree climbing and removing limbs in hard to reach places. When the crew left my yard was so clean it looked as if they had never been there. I would highly recommend Arborguard!

Marquis, Zak, Christian and Connor did a wonderful job removing 2 large trees on our in town property. They were professional, courteous and considerate of our home.

John Powell and the ArborGuard team are an outstanding company to work with. They provided excellent advice and estimates, and followed through with precise and thorough work on my trees. They did great pruning, but also helped identify and treat a serious insect infestation. I highly recommend these folks.

This company did some work for our neighbors. Prior to them starting, I explicitly told them to be cognizant of the property line, and to leave our bushes untouched. I went back out a few hours later to see all the bushes on our side of the property line removed as well! When I told the arborist again, he said “oops, looks like I got a bit carried away!” and then nothing else. That’s a COMPLETELY unacceptable answer to destroying our landscaping. They also trampled $300 worth of plants I had just planted in a flower bed the weekend before. They didn’t even say sorry! Absolutely disgraceful company, and they left our neighbors yard looking horrible. Avoid working with this company — it seems the hire the cheapest employees they can find that have no respect for property lines nor doing a good job. I am furious at this company, and they offered me nothing in return, only cost me about $1000 worth of damages — and they weren’t even supposed to be on our property!

Very professional and prompt service! The team is helping my huge loblolly pine to thrive for hopefully another 50 years while causing no harm to houses nearby.

This past week, a highly-skilled, professional, punctual, polite, and expert crew from Arborguard came to my house and removed a 100-year-old white oak tree from my back yard — Josh, James, Quinton, RJ, and Devon worked hard, knew exactly what they were doing, and pulled together as a team for what looked like a very difficult job! Josh kept me informed about their plans and progress at the start and end of each working day, and everyone was helpful if I ever had a request (regarding parking) or question (“Is this wood good?”) John Powell from Arborguard, an ISA-certified arborist, has been inspecting and caring for my trees for years now, and he spotted, tested for, and diagnosed the first signs of Brittle Cinder in this oak this Fall, so he immediately helped me to get the removal process started right away by applying for a permit, once I’d gotten a few quotes and decided to go with Arborguard. You and your trees are in safe hands with them! Highly recommended!

My HOA in Inman Park has used Arborguard for tree care for over ten years with great satisfaction with their expertise and professionalism. Last week we had a crew come out to remove three dead trees on the property. They advised us of the time they would arrive which was spot on. They then completed the work so quickly and efficiently that we hardly knew they had been there but for the empty spaces where the trees had been. I work with the arborist John Brooks. He is EXCELLENT - the best arborist I have ever had care for my trees. He was the first to do soil analysis and properly diagnose the issues with one of my trees. He gives me very good treatment plans and educates me on what is needed -- which I really appreciate. It helps me avoid anything that would be harmful for my trees. I also believe the prices are reasonable for the care provided. My main tree, a cherry, is a memorial tree for my parents, so I care for it a great deal. I feel is in good hands with Arborguard and John.

My experience with Arborguard was painless and stress free. They quickly set up an appointment to provide a written estimate. The work was scheduled within a few weeks. Everyone was extremely professional and a pleasure to deal with. They did a wonderful job pruning and trimming 5 very large oak trees, 2 cherry trees plus several other trees on the property, They arrived when they said they would arrive and left the property neat and clean when they were done. They did not ask for any money up front and invoiced me several weeks after the work was completed. I will definitely use them again.

The Arborguard crew showed up on time, did a LOT of heavy pruning in a flash and cleaned up every stick and leaf after they were done. Everything looks to be in great shape.

An arborguard truck was reckless today at DeKalb Industrial and ScottBlvd at 7 am.
The driver took a right turn and then veered into the middle lane while I was just beside him forcing me onto the center median. Driver kept driving! Dangerous and reckless!
