Clint Edwards worked quickly and got our unit working again that day. We’ve used this company for years and have always been very satisfied with Vickers Heating and Air.

Our experience was similar to another listed. We are very surprised by the five star reviews. We actually were with Vickers for 17-18 years, but we were warned, and correctly, that their service was declining.
But we stuck with it. We had a system installed about four years ago by them. Candidly, it has never worked right— ever year, it blows warm air; we’ve had to replace the capacitor three times, and we have regular “break/fix” service calls every year, in addition to regular maintenance. They couldn’t locate the return (per them). They suggested the best answer was to leave the closet doors open in an HVAC setup that had operated successfully with no problems for 14 years. They left all the equipment open after a service call. We had almost reached the breaking point with them when their maintenance tech turned on a hosecock inside of a wall and flooded the workshop.
Hey, anyone can make a mistake, right? Except it seemed every time we had their guy in, something broke shortly after or was left undone.
So fast forward to today. That AC unit that we bought 4 years ago failed catastrophically, and since the warranty was under them, we figured we’d give them another chance. The note we got from their office manager was “We are sorry to hear you have lost the compressor on your unit however the unit is covered under a 10- Year parts warranty that any company can get a compressor and replace it for you. We feel its best for you to have another company perform the work.”
We run a small business. We would never tell a client trying to do business with us to go away. Very surprising.
Oh, and did I mention the system in another property that we had checked out by them that got a clean bill of health? When we actually went to use it, it didn’t work. ~$2000 dollars later it got working, but they took no ownership of the problem.
It is sad when a good relationship turns into one that is not-so-good. Or, as someone told me once, “That business is theirs to lose.” Sad to say we will take their advice and move on- I just wonder how many warranty customers they “fire”.
