Eric Byers... I am a property owner in Decatur Illinois, I had a house fire and one of my properties and needed restoration services. Servpro came out initially emergency board up. From that point on everything went downhill. Servpro of Decatur is racist and practicing racist tactics. I went back to Servpro for the restoration process. And was told by the owner of Servpro of Decatur. That I had to put down 75% up front. When the owner called me," he said that this was his policy" and he felt like the I was not going to pay after work was finished..... And told me that "I was going to go on vacation with the money I had for repairing my property and not pay him"... This tactic implemented for the reason of my ethnicity. Knowing in the industry this is not protocol to give a contractor 75% up front. And at this point I am looking for a lawyer...
