Southern Standard did an awesome job with our backyard. They completely cleared what was pretty much an over grown forest to completely clear and clean. They were on time and finished the job quickly.

The Southern Standard Landscaping team, led by Jose, did an excellent job installing an irrigation system and sod in my backyard. They were very efficient, worked until 8:30 pm the first night and did an excellent job in cleaning up everything when they finished the job. I would definitely recommend them!

Can’t stress enough how awesome Sam and his team are. We knew we needed to revamp our yard but weren’t sure exactly what we wanted to do. Sam came out, walked us through his vision, and worked to stay within our budget. Jose and team were meticulous about making sure every detail was perfect, and that the job was done up to standard.

Sam, Jose, Ryan and the rest of the crew did an amazing job completely transforming my front and back yards. They arrived on a Monday, walked me through what they were going to do - and by Friday the entire job was completed. I asked a lot of questions along the way, and the entire crew was very nice in answering all my questions. They cleaned up each night and made sure everything was perfect. Sam was very helpful in helping me choose the right plants and design options. Several neighbors have already come by to complement me on the landscaping. Sam has a great team and I highly recommend Southern Standard for all landscaping and hardscaping needs!

I usually take care of my own yard, but this last year it got away from me and was too much for one person. My neighbor across the street had used this company and was very pleased, so I decided to give them a call. Jared came out and walked the property with me to give me an estimate. He was very friendly and assured me that this was their specialty and they could get it back to what it once was. Ryan and his whole team worked very hard for many, many hours and did a great job. Weekly lawn service is reasonably priced and professionally done with attention to detail. Lawn is not mowed too short, leaves and debris are carted off the property instead of being blown onto a pine island. Crews use common sense to know when to mow and when not to. Very satisfied.

On time, get texts from lead to see if I need anything done.

Southern Standard took out our existing landscaping and transformed our front yard with new trees and plants. Sam, Jose, and the rest of the crew were very responsive, professional, and detail oriented; they even spent time adjusting all of our sprinkler heads and programmed our system to ensure everything gets the right amount of water. I’ve been with this landscaping team for almost 6 months, and they’ve been excellent from day one. They come weekly for mowing, edging, and cleanup, and the quality is always top-notch. What stands out most is their customer service — Chris always checks in to see if there’s anything specific I’d like them to focus on and makes sure I’m 100% satisfied before they leave. They’ve also gone above and beyond whenever I’ve had small requests.

Southern Standard is top tier in customer service and level of work. It’s such a relief to find a landscape company amongst the dozens to choose from that is honest, well priced and does a great job at the same time. The owner, Sam, is responsive and always asking what they can do better to meet our needs.

We used first used Southern Standard to install a block retaining wall, which looks amazing. Then we decided to use them for our weekly maintenance. The supervisor, Chris, is also great! He takes his time and doesn’t rush through the yard, and makes it look beautiful. 10/10 would recommend these guys!

We contacted Southern Standard Landscaping for drainage solutions, grading, and seeding our yard. They finished the job in 2 days and we started to see grass appear after 9 days. Overall, they did a great job. They did not damage my irrigation system, despite the large equipment excavating around the backyard.

If I had to list one downside, I think SSL could have done a better job with re-concealing some of the wires that were dug up in the process. Overall, I’m confident that the drainage system they installed will give us peace of mind and I’m excited to see our backyard fully grown in a few months.
