This review is long overdue but I had been looking for lawn care services for a long time and I was very pleased with this place! Mr.Johnson and his team were professional, thorough, friendly, and knowledgeable about their craft. They went above and beyond and provided excellent lawn care service. I highly recommend this location to anyone that needs lawn care services. South Side Lawns and Services are now my go-to lawn care provider!

Paid $5,600 cash for a landscaping project in April 2024 and made this our company for lawncare as well as treatment. Very attentive in the beginning, but we heard nothing after October 2024. Tried to schedule a cut in December 2024, but received no response. Haven't heard anything since. Had to hire a new lawncare service in February 2025 and a new treatment company last month. Guess it's all about installing, but not maintaining. Lesson learned. Godspeed.

Yard was looking pretty bad. Just had some trees cut down and wanted to get sod. Called South Side Lawns and Services because of all the good reviews. They did not lie! Kornell came right out and took a look at the yard, taking his time to go over options and pricing. He listened to my ideas and offered his expertise to make it happen. He and his team got everything done even sooner than expected AND on a holiday weekend. The results were awsome! I was kept informed during the whole process. They whole team was very professional and I couldnt ask for better customer service. Highly recommend.

I called last minute for an estimate and was pleasantly surprised when I was told, “We can do this today.” I was so happy! I was actually out of town at the time, but he kept me updated and even sent pictures of the finished work — and let me tell you, it was BEAUTIFUL. Fast, professional, and exceeded my expectations. Kornell was very professional. He told me what options I had for my yard, and how the work would be done. He communicated effectively at every step of the process. He advised me about the care of the new sod. He even complimented his installers because they did such a great job. Such management and professionalism is hard to find. He made it easy to pay the deposit and final bill through Quick Books. An excellent job start to finish.

This is the company that is helping me correct a drainage problem at my home in McDonough in the back yard. The Company owners name is Kornell Johnson. He and his workers are professional, polite, knowledgable and hard workers. Kornell limits his practice to Henry County. He will give you a personal, evaluation of what he can do to help you in your yard. It is not just a generalization for every yard. I highly recommend him. I know that I will continue to use him as long as he is in Henry County. You will be impressed at your first meeting with him. Kornell and his team were outstanding. The power washing came out perfect. The ant treatment on the lawn removed every one of them. He will be working on our off-season lawn service on a monthly basis going forward.

As an extra bonus, he put down a garage floor that is one of the best I’ve ever seen. This is a picture of it in progress. He added blue flake on top of it and is going to put a clear coat on top of that.

I appreciate the professionalism of Mr. Johnson and his team. Today’s business owners don’t take the time to ensure the customer is satisfied with the services rendered. During Mr. Johnson’s inspects and he’s not satisfied, he would make the correction himself. So thankful for having my lawn properly and professionally cared for.

I recently purchased a home and the yard needed cutting bad. I google and found Southside Lawn Service. My home sits on 1 1/2 acre. They came out. My lawn was in bad shape due to work travel and my prior lawn servicer failing to return without explanation. I reached out to this company and received a rapid response via text that was followed up with a phone call. Pricing and service date provided over the phone. The team showed up and began working without interrupting my work day - which is important because I work from home! I would recommend this company and will use them again in the future.
