The technician called/arrived earlier than scheduled; which was a plus! Joe was very kind, friendly and professional. He was also very knowledgeable, answering all of my questions and gave me tips/advice. Not to mention, he was very receptive of the attention my fur-baby gave him. :)

Mr. Jones said he’d make it right and he did he sent guys out to fix my ductwork and check my unit. All of his employees were very polite. Well mannered answered all of my questions I would recommend air serve to all my friends thank you, Mr. Jones for being a man of your word

He literally the pilot lite but did not check the system. I thought that was included but he was very nice and got the heat going!

To clarify for others reading this, when you book through the Aire Serv website, it looks like you are selecting a real appointment date and time. I chose Monday afternoon, June 23, and the screen showed that as confirmed.
But it turns out that this is not an actual appointment. The system just records your preference, and someone is supposed to call you later. There was no clear message at the time stating it was not scheduled. They even send a confirmation email. This is what caused the confusion. If I had known it was just a request and not a confirmed appointment, I would have ordered the $15 capacitor and fixed it myself that same day. Aire Serv let us schedule an appointment online for this past Monday, so we expected someone to come out sooner than the replacement part would get here. If they had been clear that the appointment would actually be Tuesday, I would have just ordered the capacitor and replaced it myself.
Instead, they scheduled the appointment for noon the following day (Tuesday), and the technician did not arrive until 4:40 PM.
All he did was replace a capacitor (JARD #12788, 45+5 µF, 440/370V) that sells for $15 plus tax on Amazon. We were charged $289 for the visit. There is no breakdown of the charges on the bill. As shown in the images below, the cost of materials should have been approximately $20; therefore, the total price must include $269 for 20 minutes' worth of labor.
If they had just been upfront about the real appointment time, I would have saved money and had the repair done a day earlier. There was no real diagnostic process; instead, it was just a basic swap with a high markup.
I don’t mind paying for good service, but I do mind being misled and overcharged for something I could have handled myself with honest communication. Below is a picture of the capacitor before replacement, along with the same part listed on Amazon for $14.99. There is also a picture of the bill, along with a timestamp for when he arrived and when he left (a 20-minute duration). I am also including the original review response to demonstrate what kind of customer service you can expect (note that only a misunderstanding of their scheduling system was addressed to their advantage, with no mention of the online scheduling system or the concerns of a lack of transparency with their bill).

Joe came after hours on a Sunday when no other company was able. My temp in house was 91 degrees. Quick, easy needed a capacitor. He was very professional and understanding. 5 stars great company.

They were able to schedule me for the next day which was great enough but then, two hours before my appointment, the tech is already at my house and done. They gave me a military discount too which was greatly appreciated. I'll be using these guys again.

Google says open 24/7. But when we called at 10pm to help with our thermostat agreeing to pay all fees for an after hours service call in 23 degree weather we were told nobody could come out.

Great guys, Joe and Noah came right on time and very knowledgeable. Helped with a couple of my extra questions and pointed out easy fixes I could do on my own... not like a mechanic that looks for extra things to drum up more money. Each person at this Aireserv are super good folks.

Always fast and friendly service. Great folks at this place, from the front office to the guys in the field. Highly recommend.
