Shane and his crew were kind, efficient, quick, professional, and fair priced for the job of trimming and removing about 17 trees, and stump grinding them. (fyi, call and get your lines marked by the city prior to stump griding. Learned the hard way, my fault). Shane arrived on time, gave me a quote that day and the crew arrived on time and we so hardworking! Never stopping except for a little lunch break! I was so impressed with their efficiency, ease to engage with, and professional tree climbing abilities! Fun to watch! They left the mulch for us to use on our gardens. I highly recommend NAZ and will call them for any future jobs we have.

Sunday September 1 had started out like any other Sunday in Alpharetta Georgia.
My wife and I had decided to take advantage of Labor Day shopping specials, so around 2:30 pm we headed out.
An hour later we got a frantic call from a neighbor that a large lightning strike had just exploded our large tree next to the corner of our house.
When we arrived 15 minutes later, we discovered the horror the lightning strike had created.
The split of the was right at in the middle of the tree trunk, about thirty feet high to five feet above the ground. It appeared like only 5 to 6 inches of wood at the bottom was holding the tree together.
Neighbors said the explosion and crack was so loud it shuck the ground knocking pictures of our walls and pieces of the tree flew completely over our house and into the backyard.
Half of the tree posed an immediate threat to our neighbor’s home and the other half of the tree was threatening our master bedroom corner of the house.
With each guest of wind, the split at the top appeared to get slightly wider.
Remember It is Labor Day weekend (Sunday) and now it is a little after 4pm.
There is no way this tree survives much longer.
Here is where the story fortunately takes a positive turn.
I remembered that Shane at NAZ tree services had done excellent work for us in the past.
When I called him and explained the situation, we were in he replied, “We will get to you Jeff and make it safe” His Crew was busy working in another area all afternoon.
We were very relived to see the crew from NAZ arrive around 8:30pm.
The split tree was cracking with every gust of wind. Shane’s professional crew went to work immediately.
They thoroughly looked over the tree and said the best way to protect your home is to get the damage and all of it down tonight, then we can comeback tomorrow to clean up the massive amount of debris.
They powered all kinds of machinery, secured ropes and lines on the damaged tree to insure a safe removal, they protected the ground below with large sheets of plywood.
Chain saws and expert tree trimmers were now hard at work.
Within 90 minutes that had removed the immediate threats created by this large lightning strike.
The next day they returned to the job, and when they left, they had thoroughly cleaned up all the debris.
The strike was so bad to the tree it was amazing it did not fall when hit.
Without the same day response of the professional staff at NAZ, especially Shane and his crew surely that tree would have caused massive structural damage.
A week later, our AC is fixed, the internet is restored, and numerous electronic devices have been replaced.
That night September 1, 2024, NAZ truly saved us from tons of heartaches.

What a great group! Shane and his team do a very efficient job of tree removal. We had 14 trees in our backyard that they had to navigate through a gate in the fence. They put down protection for the lawn and removed some significant 90 footers. Just great. The vehicles all look brand new as well. This company invests in equipment and people to bring the best experience. The value was tremendous as well. I don't know how they do it all.

I had a few trees threatening to fall of my inherited home... As a first time home owner who is autistic I could not have had a better experience! Roy and his team were quick to respond to me in such a way that worked for me, were affordable, efficient and very respectful, answering all my questions! They were able to start right away which was amazing! Some property that could of been moved was destroyed and they don't seem interested in replacing it, but that is my only negative thing to say.

The 80 foot plus pine and 80 foot plus oak side by side leaning towards my home was taken down by these professionals in record time along with a rotted persimmon tree and trimming of 2 other oaks. This company is insured and the owner, Roy Holmes was very informative, reasonably priced, friendly and professional not to mention very good to his team of professionals. It was so clean when they left you’d never know they were there. With almost 2 acres of property and lots of trees we will be calling him in the future for our tree removal and trimming services. Roy was very responsive to my request for a quote. Turns out he and his crews were in the area and stopped by within an hour for a quote. He helped identify the trees that were in jeopardy of falling down and even contacted our neighbor to clearly identify what needed to be removed, with pictures.

We were concerned about additional trees and large limbs that had been falling in our yard and not making us comfortable.

His crew showed up bright and early the next day at 7:45am to start work. They were patient as we needed to get our cars out of the work zone to give them full access. He negotiated with our neighbor to anpprove access through his yard as well.

Once they started to work, it was clear they were like a perfectly orchestrated team to tackle this big job with safety in mind.

Cost.

This type of work is not cheap. But it gave us piece of mind, they worked hard all day, Roy told me exactly what to expect, he delivered and in the end…I couldn’t tell they were ever there.

Except for this huge stump our dog gets to play on :)

Great experience with Tomahawk! We had a tree fall across our driveway recently. They came quickly a Sunday morning and removed the tree before noon. Bob walked our property that day, (taught me more about trees then I ve learned life to date) and recommended other trees to remove that were in the path of our house. All at a reasonable price. At the last minute they moved us up on the schedule to ensure we had the trees removed before a big ice storm hit. The crew removed multiple 50+ foot trees efficiently without any issues. All around great job!

I had a major emergency involving a tree falling on my home, Tomahawk tree service came out immediately, worked effortlessly until almost 2 am to remove as much tree as they could and then came out the next day (Father’s Day) to remove the rest. Sean was very communicative and hands on with myself and the crew to make sure everything was handled properly and they also did a wonderful job cleaning up the property when they were done. Also I failed to mention that the tree that fell on my home was sooooo big and they handled it like it was nothing. I highly recommend this company.

Tomahawk Tree Service was excellent in handling my emergency tree removal. They answered immediately, had a crew out to my home within 30 minutes, and handled all payments directly through my insurance. It was a seamless job and helped ease my anxiety.
