trenton and hunter arrived right on time, both friendly and ready to inspect and sweep our fireplace, which was new to us since we just moved into the house. hunter brought in all the chimney cleaning tools while i showed trenton our fireplace. after taking a quick look, he explained that although he could sweep the chimney and charge us, he wouldn’t recommend using the fireplace in its current state. trenton showed us the back of the unit and pointed out that it was made from sheet metal, there was insulation directly on the chimney pipe, no proper fireblock, and there were slits that could get blocked and possibly cause a fire hazard in our home. even though the news wasn’t what we were hoping for, i really appreciated trenton’s honesty and expertise. i spent $150 for a thorough inspection and peace of mind. such a good value! if we decide to get the fireplace replaced, we’ll definitely use this chimney sweep company again.

when trenton and his coworker showed up, i asked if they could match the brick in my existing chimney. they told me yes, saying it's called antique. when the work was done, the new bricks didn't really match the old ones. during the demo, there was a little damage to the chimney in the family room, but trenton said he would fix it when he came back to put in the new liner for the wood stove. i called the next day to ask if the bricks inside could really match better, and the person i spoke to agreed after seeing my photos. even so, trenton did a solid job with the materials he had, and the chimney looks much better now. overall, i’m happy with the service and would recommend them to anyone needing a chimney sweep in valley center.
