Unfortunately, your response to my previous review is very inaccurate, you never attempted return a call after multiple attempts to call you in the past couple of weeks. We did have the flashing redone as a last ditch effort to stop the leaks - sadly it was money lost- we opted to not use your company for that because you were pretty confident that what you did by replacing the cap would fix the leak when in fact it did not. Ultimately the bad review was left because of a failure to fix the problem but more than anything a failure to communicate. If anyone from your office had simply reached out last week to say, unfortunately we do not offer a warranty on that work, and been willing to discuss the issues that would have been very much appreciated, instead you simply ignored the calls which is unprofessional.

You guys were initially really great to work with so this was surprising and disappointing

This company is wonderful to work with. They have flexible scheduling and try to accommodate busy work schedules.

The gentleman who came to our home was honest and upfront on every aspect of our fireplaces. He was very informative, explaining everything he did - and about the set up of our fireplaces.

Kudos to Megan in the office, as she was very helpful, too. We trust Black Hat Chimney and look forward to having them back to service our fireplace needs.

We had them do chimney cap for us a few years ago, and have had leaks ever since. In a recent inspection, another chimney company found that it was improperly installed with parts being installed upside down. We reached out to them to give them an opportunity to see if there was a warranty aspect that would cover it or if they would come out to make adjustments to it. We never even received a call back. We are now going with a different chimney company, but it is sad that people will not stand behind their craftsmanship or even return a phone call.

Had some repair work done by Black Hat Chimney. When I tried to light a fire for the first time, there were some issues with smoke coming back into the house. They came out the next day and showed me how he starts the fires to prevent that from happening. Gave me a pack of starter material and didn't charge me anything for his visit. He was super nice and knowledgeable and I will definitely be going to them for all my fireplace maintenence needs!

They did great work and gave great information for me concerning using my wood stove.

I’m so happy with these guys. Very professional and showed up right on time. I could not believe the amount of creosote that came out of our pipe. They got it done quickly and no mess. I feel much better about using our stove this winter. I will only use them in the future. Give them a call…you won’t be disappointed.

Never got service from this company however I was at McDonalds getting breakfast today. When I got to the window to pay, I was told the person in front of me paid. What a blessing to me and family! We're so appreciative so I thought I leave a review to say thank you! That really made our morning! ☺️

Black Hat was great! I had received a nightmare inspection report along with an almost $10k estimate to install a chimney liner in my chimney. Black Hat came out and performed an inspection and told me the my chimney was actually in good shape but did need some repair work. Their estimate was less than 1/4 of the other estimate. I did not need all of the work that the other company said I did. I appreciate their honesty and willingness to do repair work instead of just trying to install a chimney liner. Great folks to work with!!!!

Highly recommend Black Hat chimney services! We have a wood burning fireplace that really had some issues and started smelling very strong. We had one company come out for a cleaning and inspection. They were very nice but quoted an exorbitant price to fix the fireplace and chimney. We had almost decided to put in gas logs and forego our wood burning fires (which we loved) to reduce the price of repair. We got another estimate and inspection from Black Hat. They were very punctual, professional and friendly. They were able to do the complete work and restore our wood burning fireplace -- and charged 1/3 of what the other company quoted. The first quote evidently included a lot of unnecessary repairs. Black Hat is family owned. Father and son did our repairs. We could not be more pleased. Great family owned company!

Black Hat is great! We called them out to clean and inspect the fireplace and they found issues on the roof that were completely unrelated and informed us of them. Our fireplace also needed some work done and Black Hat’s rates were very reasonable. We had a lot of other house projects to do so we selected just the most necessary repairs and asked if we could postpone the rest and they worked with us to piecemeal the work together. Around a year later we were ready to get the remaining work done and they honored the original price even though a year had gone by! Highly recommend them!

They squeezed me in before the bad weather ahead, they cleaned all the gross stuff out of the chimney and one of the men that came out even showed me how to set up the wood and starter to keep my family safe and warm if the power goes out.
we have a child with serious health issues and being able to keep him warm in emergencies is a big deal. very thankful for this company!

After getting an inspection, a rival company wanted $600 to conduct a "thorough inspection". I called Black Hat Chimney in Christiana; they showed up on time. did great work, recommended some ways to reduce my costs, and were friendly to my wife. The exterior chimney looks like new with excellent mortar work. We will definitely use them again. Could not be happier.

Amazing service

He moved my dryer to clean the vent. He cleaned up all the dirt and Lint that collected under the dryer. I was able to mop the floor before he put the dryer back. I couldn't believe how much stuff he removed from the vent and the dryer. The lint trap was packed full. Highly recommend Richard!

I simply googled Dryer vent cleaning, Anthem, AZ and Richard popped up. Reviews were great so at 9pm I texted him as we needed this task done in a hurry. By 11pm it was booked for the next morning, he arrived on time, was fast, clean, and thorough - AND at the best price around. He even booked-in to do a follow-up clean once our construction was complete and the dryer was hooked back up. Love our Anthem neighbors, work ethic, and quality of service.
