Go to these guys. They are honest and fair and thorough. I messed up and called Chattanooga Chimney first. They sucked. The guys from Soot Busters came by and they were a pleasure to do business with. Would definitely recommend over anyone else. Especially over Chattanooga Chimney.

I paid 100.00 for the inspection of my chimney and NEVER heard from Joe again. I called and sent numerous text asking for the video of the chimney that Joe took & shared with me. The video showing the work that needed to be done.The video is mine for I paid dearly for It... NO response! I would never recommend soot busters to anyone. UNPROFESSIONAL. I guess if you make several appointments on a day and collect 100.00 from your victims and never do any work....Is this the game! I had to pay to have it inspected again but this time with a reputable company.Soot Busters will not last. Shame on you Joe! I told you that I had just lost my husband and on my own raising a three year old child from birth at 70 yrs old.

They were on time and explained to me all of the findings concerning the chimney inspection. They also provided me with a diagram of chimney for the engineer to review since I'm installing a wooden stove in the future. Thanks again.

Great experience start to finish. They were very professional, thorough and didn’t try to “upsell” me or push me into expensive extras which I really appreciated! Also great communicators. Knew exactly when to expect them.

I scheduled a cleaning and inspection with Soot Busters. Joe and Tess arrived on time did a quick look at our fireplace and determined that it did not need to be cleaned. That was the first indication that these were professionals who truly care about their customer.

They continued the inspection and found a couple of issues that they scheduled to take care of at a later date. And they also replaced the chimney cap which had come off during the tornado. A different company had come in a couple of years ago and recommended much more comprehensive work. Joe and Tess found no indication that that work was necessary.

I'm not sure who owned the company previously, but I was hesitant to use them with the old negative reviews. I'm so glad we did! I have nothing but good things to say about our experience. Joe was very professional and kept all of his deadlines! His communication was great. He even volunteered to fix our front door (which kept sticking) while we was there working on the chimney. We'll be using them for all of our fireplace needs in the future!

Our roof had been leaking on and off since we purchased our house. My husband was going up there every few months after a hard rain to try and "repair" it. Luckily, we saw that Joe Viland took over SootBusters, and we called him. Within a few days, Joe came, inspected the issue, explained the issue, gave us clear options, and then fixed it on the spot. It hasn't leaked since! We're so grateful for Joe's hard work and quick response time, especially because that means I didn't have to worry about my husband falling off the roof. Highly recommend!

Joe and his team are dedicated to making your fireplace and chimney safe and functional! They are very punctual in setting up an initial inspection and follow up. The hearth is the heart of the home so call Soot Busters and trust that they will leave your home feeling warm and fuzzy (literally). They care deeply about the community and strive to do the best for Chattanooga in every aspect of their work.

We had Soot-Busters come out for our yearly inspection and cleaning this year. They got us in quickly and were very responsive. They were very thorough and detailed during their inspection and provided a great service. They are under new management and I am highly impressed. After trying other chimney services, some of who never respond or try to sell you a ton of stuff you don't need, I have found my go to service with Soot-busters! I cannot recommend them enough!

Don’t let old reviews steer you in the wrong direction! This company has been under new management since November of 2019, thankfully! Tara and Joe are not only amazing at what they are doing but they are also punctual, professional and are dedicated to doing the highest quality of work for every client they come into contact with. I can assure you that it will never feel like someone is just coming to do another job because they truly care about the community and everyone in it. If you want the best, look no further! Give them a call, be super happy with the services (because you will be!) and then leave them a glowing review!

Joe and his assistant were great. They wore masks indoors and laid down canvas to protect our rug. Joe did an initial inspection and cleaned our chimney. He also helped solve our excess smoke problem by telling us about smoke guards. We appreciated the live footage he showed us of some mortar damage up in our flue and talked to us about potential risks of owning a fireplace, plus essential items to keep on hand in case of a chimney fire. I highly recommend Joe and his team. Prices are reasonable and transparent. We will be using SootBusters every year.

Great service and work! We had our chimney cleaned and a new heat shield (liner) installed which included some demo of the existing chimney. Very clean, quick and arrives when they say. Highly recommend.

We hired them to inspect multiple chimneys at our house. Got the report back and then found out it was not accurate. To get them to come back and reinspect or to correct the report takes multiple weeks. We’re hiring another company to come in and do a full new inspection to check the rest of their report.

WONDERFUL!!!! We recently moved into this home. The very kind and knowledgeable serviceman gave us advice and instruction on how to work our vents. He took time to explain everything to us and then informed us that our chimney looked clean and didn't even charge us for the service call!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!

What an amazing experience from an EXTREMELY knowledgeable and kind service professional! I read the previous comments and hate that the new owners of this business have to start with negative words. Before I explain my experience I want everyone reading this to know that this company, under new ownership, is doing it right. I was referred by a friend of mine and trusted that I would be taken care of, and I was!!

Moving into a new home with a fireplace was a must for our family. Since we didn't know if the fireplace was safe in our previously owned home we decided to call SootBuster Chimney Services to come and do a quick check to make sure everything was safe before burning our first fire. We are so glad we called because our chimney was so dirty and backed up that it could have caught fire and damaged our house! Joe took the time to thoroughly explain how our fireplace works, how to maintain it and what work we are going to need done in the future. He was on time, professional, and left our house as clean as it was when he started. He even scaled our extremely steep and icy roof and took photos along the way to help explain our needs. We will definitely be calling Joe again to service our fireplace on the schedule he recommended.

We were beyond impressed by Soot Busters… after getting quotes from about 4 different local chimney companies, they were by far the most reasonable and were able to serve us the fastest. They were very thorough and honest.. the man who worked on our chimney had a suggestion of something that may need to be fixed in the future but put zero pressure on me to commit to it on the spot. We will absolutely use them again in the future and would recommend them to all of our friends!
