We got a gorgeous tree there mid-May and unfortunately it came down with a disease. The lady on the phone prompted me to email pictures to the warranty department and they got back to me so quickly and honored the warranty since we fell within the 90 day period! We are so happy we choose to do business with them when landscaping our yard!

I’ve had a vision for a landscaping project I wanted to complete since the beginning of the year. I came into Far West with a plan and a sketch, and Barb and her team helped me make it come to life. Barb was very helpful and very kind. She was generous in sharing all the knowledge she had about plants!

They’re not the cheapest but they are THE BEST in the Treasure Valley. Russ is our go-to guy for any and all help and information. Ask about their 5-year plant warranty when planting with Myke’s.

I visited Far West on Monday Sept 16th. I came specifically looking for a rose bush and Russ was a tremendous help. He helped me find the perfect rose bush and it was even on sale! Thank you for the personal service. Far West is one of my go-to nurseries!

We have had Russ help us on two separate occasions and he is a wealth of knowledge and a very nice person. We are so glad you have somebody like him on staff.

A great place to shop

Great nursery with knowledgeable staff. Bought a sun valley maple two years ago that is growing like crazy and have bought some other grasses that are flourishing; I did buy the rootball treatment which extends the warranty and I think is very worth it. A little more $ than other nurseries but again, the staff is very helpful and has given solid advice on what plants and trees work best in Boise soil (they do have occasional sales too*). I also appreciate the fact that unlike some of the nurseries around hill road, they don’t have virtue - signaling flags flying everywhere (after all, I’m there to decorate a yard plagued with dense clay soil, not get an ill - informed lecturing via tacky decor). Will be buying another tree in the next few weeks!

We have a relatively small yard that needed to be spruced up (and brought under control). We’d seen FarWest working in our neighborhood and we loved the work they’d done for our neighbors. I called FarWest and was put in contact with their Landscape Designer - Emily. She was wonderful! She came out to our house (several times) and gave us some options that worked with what we had in mind and fit our budget. She always responded quickly whenever I had questions. The crew that came out and did the demo, cleanup and landscaping were so great! They took out big, old, overgrown bushes and added low maintenance greenery and beautiful, big rocks. Within a couple weeks they completely transformed our yard. We could not be happier with the end result.

I purchased two very expensive pampas grass last summer. They did not make it through the winter. I Was very disappointed since it cost me over $170 for both.

I went back and talked to the manager at Farwest today and they told me that there was only a 90 day guarantee on the plants (which would hardly last through the summer I purchased them). The manager
Refused to give me replacement plants and would not even give me a break on purchasing another pair. I’m more than disappointed. You pay good money for quality plants and you expect them to last and then you expect the stores that you buy it from to back up their product.

Even the box stores will replace a plant if it dies. Far west prices are astronomical and yes, they do have a good quality, but they do not back up their product and they do not take care of their customers. I will never shop there again.

Yesterday, at the recommendation of a friend, I stopped at FarWest with the intent to gain a cursory understanding of the basics of creating a home outdoor zen garden. During my visit, Kim, an exemplary knowledgeable, patient and friendly employee provided me with important elements of making informed decisions that will yield an outcome to be enjoyed and support the purpose of the project (relaxation/enjoyment/serenity).
She showed me a range of options that were practical and suitable for the environment of my yard (Zones, shade, sun, etc.)
Kim's knowledge was impressive. Her customer service was exemplary !

FarWest is by far our favorite nursery of the half dozen we have tried. Russ at FarWest is especially helpful. Plants are very healthy and they have a tree planting service that plants trees correctly. Be sure to ask them about their warrantees. They are not like some nurseries that offer you half the cost of your tree toward the purchase of a new one or make promises they don’t back up. Staff are all friendly and knowledgeable and they are very customer friendly. We highly recommend them.

They have a lot of employees, and I don’t know how they get every single one of them to have such a great attitude. They’re doing an awesome job. Knowledgeable, friendly. Best place in town..

This place is amazing. It has everything you could ever want regarding plants shrubs, ground cover, etc. the staff is very helpful and very attentive.

The selection was great, but what really made this place stand out was the exceptional assistance we received from Russ! He was very knowledgeable, took the time to listen, and helped us find just the right tree for that special place in our yard. We had visited several places, and they were far more interested in selling us an expensive tree that would outgrow our yard than they were in helping us find the right tree for the space we had. Thank you Russ!

Far West has consistently been our favorite source of indoor and outdoor plants--we have tried others, including the Big Box stores, but Far West's plants have been the cleanest (no bug infestations in their indoor plants) and healthiest!
Their selection is very good, but their biggest asset is the folks who work there: knowledgeable, with a clear passion for horticulture/landscaping, and great enthusiasm for helping their customers.
Shout out to Russ, who spent a lot of time assisting and educating me on my latest visit, even though it was just a recon trip for next Spring---his helpful attitude ensured that Far West is where we will continue to come for the best plants, and the best advice as well. Thanks!

Far West did an excellent job on our project. The crew were exceptional. On time, courteous, and wanted to make sure we were always pleased with all aspects of the project. We have used other contractors in the past and have not received serve like this. We will definitely use them on our next project.

I recently visited Far West Nursery to find a large pottery planter for my yard. I was greeted by one of the employees, Paula, who was friendly, fun, and very helpful. My search had been ongoing all summer long, but Paula was finally able to bring it to a successful closure with her attentiveness and perseverance! Far west is a wonderful nursery with great staff!

FarWest helped us out in a pinch when we noticed water draining into our crawl space from the side yard. They very quickly fixed the grading issue solving our immediate need, while also ensuring the work was in line with future planned work so as to not duplicate the effort later on. We are so grateful to the entire landscaping team involved!

Spent $900 on over priced plants, had two small ones die even though they were immediately planted. Came back 6 days later to return the two that died and was told “we only have a 3 day return policy and those aren’t in the condition we sold them to you” obviously they aren’t in the same condition, I wouldn’t be returning them if they survived like the others. Won’t be coming back anymore, better and way less expensive options elsewhere, and employees that actually care at other places

We purchased hydrangeas and laurels from FarWest and they are beautiful! We purchased the delivery and planting option and they were prompt, professional, and it was WORTH IT! They are knowledgeable, helpful, and provide the best service. My mom just signed up for their fine gardening option, and she is loving it as well. We highly recommend FarWest.
