Yesterday I bought a trellis and asked a young lady that works there what type of flowering (fragrant) vine would work with it. She showed be Wisteria and Trumpeter vine. I asked which would be most fragrant and fast growing she said the Trumpeter plus it would draw Hummingbirds. Enough said. I Rented a truck from Home Depot and picked them up. When I got home I looked the vine up and every reference I read said "highly invasive" and not to plant near houses and/or foundations.

As it was too late to call when I got home, I called first thing this morning at 9:00 am (opening time) and explained my situation; specifically that the would young lady failed to tell me that it was considered an invasive species and that it should not be planted 6' from a house. I explained that it was going to be within a few feet would that allow me to return it and pick-up the Wisteria in place of it. The women said there was a no-return policy but she would ask the owner.

She came back and said she would allow me the return is but there would be at 20% fee. That would have been $50!! I have spent several thousands of dollars over the last two years, and although Madeline (the owner was arrogant and rubbed me the wrong way) after reviewing other posts I will never again do business with her again!! What a disappointment given that I would have spent several thousand more over the next few years as my wife and I are redoing the landscape of the house I just bought.

I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS BUSINESS TO MY MY WORST ENEMY!

This nursery is still lovely and staff is friendly and helpful.

Their design service has twice failed to follow though. Thus, I would not recommend that service. However, for purchasing plants and potting supply they are wonderful.

Love, love this nursery.

Got great advice looking for a tree. I had many specifications, and nursery staff were very helpful. I needed a tree I could use for a live Christmas tree outside that would be drought-tolerant and good habitat for birds.

Oops! As a customer, be sure to perform your own research on the plants they are selling you. I should have done this.

When I showed up, the 5 people that were standing around, were happy to tell me about how beautiful this plant was and how well it handled the heat.

What they forgot to mention is that it is considered highly invasive and, in fact, is not even allowed to be sold in some other states.

I asked if I could exchange it for another non-invasive species or if there was anything they could do and she quickly said no and told me how she didn’t believe it was invasive.

Anyways… better to spend your money elsewhere with better customer service.

Feels like I am walking through the heaven of gardens. This is my happy place.

Disappointed and Frustrated – Denied Use of Valid Gift Certificate

I’m very disappointed with my recent experience at Madelkine George Nursery. I purchased a $100 gift certificate in 2023, which under Idaho state law should be valid for at least five years. My daughter-in-law attempted to use it during a large purchase—over $500 in plants and supplies—and was refused. Despite the gift certificate being well within the valid period, the owner refused to honor it, even after we explained the situation.

This was not only frustrating but felt completely unethical. It’s extremely disappointing to be treated this way as a loyal customer. We were ready to spend significantly more, but after this experience, we won’t be returning. I encourage others to be cautious when purchasing gift certificates from this business. It’s unacceptable for any business to ignore consumer protection laws and treat customers this way.

Excellent assortment of plants of all kinds, and for all conditions. Expert advice and beautiful surroundings. Prices are reasonable and comparable to the big box store, so support your local gardening store!

While visiting family in Boise for the holidays, we stopped by Madeline George Garden Design Nursery in search of a small fresh wreath for our Airstream — and we couldn’t have been happier. We were met with the sweetest service, warm conversation, and a perfectly sized, beautifully made wreath. Such a lovely gem to find right around the corner. Highly recommend!

Ryan and the Junk Bros crew were fantastic. They removed counter tops, old ugly decking, stubborn kitchen flooring and stair tiles. They also removed widow recoverings and other dated house items as well as some outdoor yard waste. Service was prompt and thorough. Pricing was fair. I highly recommend Junk Bro’s.

We used Junk Bros about 2 weeks ago to help us clean out the majority of stuff in my Moms house after transitioning her into assisted living. After we got back over to clean and finalize some things, we discovered we needed them again! Bryan and Tyler showed back up again and took away another full load. The house is finally empty and ready to be sold. I don't know what we would have done without Junk Bros. After everyone left, I sat in my car and cried because I was so grateful and relieved it was all done. Thanks Bryan and Tyler!

My daughter recommended junk bros, and I couldn't be happier! They were on time and got the job done fast. It was alot of concrete and hot outside and didn't complain once! Caleb and Garrett did a great job and I'm very happy with my service.

Junk Bros did a great job for me. They moved a treadmill for me from one home to another on their first visit. Every corner was tight, but they made it work! On the second visit, they cleaned out an old barn full of junk that I had inherited with the purchase of my home. They were efficient, and everything looks great. They are really friendly and professional. I will definitley call Junk Bros in the future!

Junk Bros were very courteous and professional. They arrived at the discussed time and clarified the work to be done. They then went to work. When the work was done, we went out together to inspect the job done. The job turned out better than i expected. I am very happy with the work they did. I would, and will recommend them to any and all in need of clean up and hauling.

I found Junk Bros by seeing their truck as I was driving. Called them, set up a time and was very impressed by their work ethics.
Showed up on time at my business and did the job as agreed.
I also had need to remove debris and burned items from a shed at home and same thing happened.
They showed up on time and I have to congratulate Bryan, Caleb and Garrett And say to the owner you have a winning team.!!!

Their attitude towards their job was of a team. But not just “a team”, a happy team. And so respectful, it was a breath of fresh air to see young people with that kind of attitude and so polite.
They enjoy their job. Listened and followed all instruction. Asked questions if they weren’t sure of something. Went above and beyond by cleaning where the burned items had been, even removed some weeds that were growing on the pavement where the junk had been.

I highly recommend them and say to you you’re in great hands with this company.
I will reuse them again without a doubt.

Wow these guys are phenomenal! They are extremely quick and efficient and are priced fairly. The best junk removal service hands down in the treasure valley! I had a huge job for their team demoing the shed in my backyard and they were able to knock it out within a couple hours.

Junk Bros are just the best. They picked up junk and also removed my old hot tub. The super nice crew did an amazing job and I will definitely call them again for jobs here!!

You will never regret using Junk Bros! They removed vinyl fencing, 4 sheds plus junky contents, a ton of lava rock, and an overwhelming amount of yard decor left by previous owner. I'd trimmed overgrowth to give workers better access to the rocks, and Junk Bros removed all 3 massive piles of trimmings, an unexpected "extra." They also wired my fence in a couple places to add stability. Great team, hard workers, polite, followed instructions perfectly, cleaned up nicely at the end. Trucks are clean and nice-looking. Ryan, the owner, was professional, beginning to end. 1000% recommend!

Ryan, Bryan, Caleb and Garrett were an exceptional crew. They removed and hauled away two significant concrete pads in less than two hours. In addition to being efficient, they were professional and very low-impact to our household and neighborhood. Ryan is a stud! This guy ran a jackhammer for an hour (non-stop) with a recently-repaired torn bicep, which he no doubt broke busting his butt on another job. Bryan, Caleb and Garrett did an excellent job of cleanup and requested an owner inspection prior to departure to ensure we were satisfied with their work. They were personable, demonstrably thankful for the work and a true pleasure to have around. I can't recommend this company or these representatives highly enough.

You know how sometimes you luck into a feel good company that you just know is going to be right for you? I don't find them very often, but Junk Bros. is one of those companies. From the online scheduling to the pickup itself to the fantastic customer service and pricing, this one of the best companies I have used since moving to the Treasure Valley 5 years ago. It's my bad that I didn't get the names of the guys who who did a quick and clean removal of my junk as I would love to praise them individually. It's obvious from the quality of the procedure and the guys doing the work that you wouldn't go wrong with any part of the service.
I especially like Junk Bros. practice of recognizing items that still have a lot of good use, pulling them out and selling them with all proceeds going to the Women's and Children's Alliance. Great community service!

What can I say about Junk Bros. From booking, to them turning up, to agreeing on price, to removing the junk, to them leaving, was all done in under 30mins. Great group of guys who were very friendly and helpful. Would use again and would highly recommend.

The Junk Brothers were wonderful! We live out in Wilder, and it's very difficult to get professionals to come out this far from Boise. We had tried other companies and kept being told the job was too far out. But the Junk Brothers company had no problem coming here, and they excelled at their job. We were very pleased and will highly recommend them to anyone - especially those in our neck of the woods. If you need junk hauled away, call them first! Rates are also very reasonable.
