Solar Energy System reviews in Boise, Idaho
-
I never review companies soon after I have concluded business with them. And even though I would not want challenge the reviews previous to this, in the end I have had a different experience. Let me say first that these are some of the most pleasant and friendly people I have ever dealt with. However, here are my concerns.
1. I was told that I need not worry about their availability to provide service (I live in rural central Utah) because they were working te establish themselves in Utah. But when there was a problem with equipment breakdown with the battery backup part of my system, I had to pay over $150 for travel time. Even though the warrantee was supposed to include parts and labor.
2. They refused to provide a written warrantee. They told me that all the parts were warranteed by the manufacturers, but I received no information of who the manufacturers are and how to contact them.
3. My system was installed in two phases. The second part was the battery backup which I expected would reduce the amount of power I recieve from the grid. The opposite has happened. The system seems to be less efficient than it was the previous year prior to installing the backup.
4. I asked that my backup system keep my refrigerator and freezers running in a power outage and as much of the rest of the house up to the 100 kw (not sure if kw is correct) limit of my system. I have no way to tell what happened there because it seems there is no way to test it. I was told that the fridge and freezers were taken care of and the additional capacity would be available to my living room and kitchen. We had one short outage and nothing worked in the kitchen or living room. The power came back on before I could check the fridge and freezer.
5. I asked for copies of final invoices for the job done (separate invoices for each part of the job.) I was told "they might not still have them or be able to find them." I did get an accurate invoice for the first part of the job, but second invoice was only for the deposit and not the completed job.
These are my main concerns with the company. If anything goes seriously wrong, which should be reasonably expected over a 20 year system life span, I'm feeling I'm pretty much screwed. -
Great solar company it was a pleasure working with them! My sales person Jake was great to work with. He answered all my questions and handled everything in a professional manner.

Re: Chris and Kenny came as scheduled and did a great job. The installation went fast and looks nice. They answered all my questions and oriented me to the equipment and how to monitor it. Their work, efficiency, and friendliness are greatly appreciated.

I’ve heard about solar all the time but never really thought about it for myself. When I met one of their salesman he helped me understand how it all works. He wasn’t pressuring me to buy from him either, he sold me on the idea. I didn’t buy right away which he was fine with, I had his number and he answered my many questions. About a month later I called back for their service. I liked that they weren’t those pushy salesmen that bug you constantly.
Thanks Powered Alliance! -
The experience was straight forward. From financing to installation. Work was done correctly and well. Everyone I met through the process was courteous and helpful. Have no regrets using this company.

Solar and battery install went good. Customer service was great! I would recommend and use them again.

I don't have solar panels, unfortunately, but I think this is a great approach. I would be interested in participating as a currently, non solar panel customer. I don't have solar panels because of affordability, not because of any other reason.

I am making this report before the system has been activated. Hopefully it will work as promised once it has been inspected and my power company has replaced my meter. Highly qualified installation team. The configuration of the panels done before installation didn't work as some of the roof's angles were not taken into account. On-site team was able to reconfigure to achieve same power output. A bit more electrical work was required but no change in price. Thanks for a job well done.

We had our solar installed in April. I waited to review until I received the power bills. I had an average power bill of $350-$400. Last month, my bill was $7.36. I used 2 KW of energy. This is impressive savings. My installation was fast and smooth. The sales guy we had straightforwardly explained how it works and the cost. I received significant savings using a local company. They were always there when they said they would be. Professional and clean. I’ve recommended Powered Alliance Solar to my family and friends.

Just had my system installed and is up and running great. Install was quick and clean. They also did roof construction for my project and I’m very happy with the results. Jake was very knowledgeable and transparent all the way through the process. I would definitely recommend anyone considering solar to work with Jake and Powered Alliance Solar.

Biggest mistake getting solar through this company. They do not stand by their own written warranty I have already spent thousands to get them to honor it once, and now I am in the same situation again. Hunter was very proud of the warranty when he was here using it as a selling point, then they want hundreds every time an invertor goes out when they clearly stated all parts including labor is covered the first ten years.

Working with Christian is an absolute pleasure. Very knowledgeable, very informative and will find the answers you are asking. Top notch!

I’ve been interested in solar for a very long time and have tried several different companies. Being honest, having ethics and integrity has been very hard to come by in this industry unfortunately.
Christian and his crew were a breath of fresh air. These guys have great communication, great product, and best of all a name you can trust! -
I’ve worked with Christian on various projects over the last couple of years, and it’s always been a great experience. He’s consistently responsive, makes time to meet, even on short notice, and is exceptionally organized.
Christian is someone I genuinely enjoy working with. He brings a calm, honest, and solution-oriented approach to every project. As a true Idahoan, he embodies the kind of integrity and kindness that really stands out in this industry.
Highly recommend working with him and Powered Alliance Solar. -
Hunter was very up-front with the pros and cons, no pressure quote and very friendly. Solar is an investment, a financial commitment with long-term benefits to your wallet and the planet. We are glad we did it, three months so far of $0.00 power bills; even with AC running all-day and two full-time work-at-home computers station, multiple monitors, sewing machine, printer, TV, etc., running nearly 7 days a week. From design, to install, to service the folks at Powered Alliance Solar have been great.
