About 3 years ago there was a big change of management. You can totally tell the difference. The garden area was lush, supply of items was always top notch, employees were always well informed and engaging. I went in today (like I have at least 2-3x a month for the last 12+ years)to my usual Chinden store. I was sad to see the state of the store deteriorate. Low supplies in everything, the indoor garden area was subpar to what it used to be, was not engaged by one of the 7 employees that were in a rush to walk past me. I found one employee and asked where the hanging basket liners were and he pointed and said over there. So when I walked “over there” to find that there were literally 3 of single random sizes I turned around to walk back and ask if there were anymore in the storage area or somewhere else in the store... and the employee was gone. So I just walked out disappointed in Zamzows changes to what they did best and unique. I guess I am headed to the Big box stores👎🏻

Gotta love Zamzows! They are helpful, nice and offer a good amount of stuff at a fair price. I'm a big fan of the lawn program. We buy the majority of our plants there and a few fruit trees. Good quality stuff and a local biz. We bought our Xmas tree there this year too.

It was good. I came in looking for advice on curing the leaf curl on my peach tree and was helped by multiple people. I needed some irrigation line too and they had a very limited selection but they gave me directions to a place that specializes in that sort of thing so it was really good. I will definitely go back again.

I love going here--the service and products are top notch. Everyone seems to be passionate about what they do. I wish I caught the name of the gentleman who helped me today ... He asked if he could help me, and I told him I'd spoken with Nadine on the phone and she recommended Magic Minerals for a problem arborvitae. He got excited and said, "Yes! I love that stuff!" He went on to give me all sorts of great tips for keeping our trees healthy. He loaded the 50lb bag on a cart for me, took it out to the car, and put it in the back for me. He seemed so happy to be there and to help. We also have their lawn Care program and it keeps our lawn green and healthy....we get compliments all the time!

Hey folks I have purchased Christmas trees from you the last 2 years . I love the Nordemans for their quirkiness & no “shedding”. I called today to make sure you had them. Came in & was sold a Noble. I asked 20 times & was assured it was not a Noble.

Conveniently noticed that you changed the tags so that a Noble was a Nordeman so I didn’t get the tree I wanted & paid $30 more. I have tag, receipt.tree & all the the pictures.

Shame on you. I am even a member of your “club” . What a joke. You don’t even train your employees. Will be taking this further.

Absolutely wonderful customer service. Spent a long time with a lady from the gardening Dept who helped me figure out how to get my lilacs and blueberries thriving. And gave me lots of individualized advice on how to improve my soil. And what to plant where I can't change the conditions. I wish I were better at remembering names so I could give you a shout out.

We are addicted. The staff is attentive and very knowledgeable. The variety and quality of garden products is top notch. We bought a beautiful magnolia tree from them, and followed the directions faithful. We watered it as directed, and gave it the super duper tree food to boot. Unfortunately, the tree died.

No questions asked, Zamzow's gave us a store credit and the replacement is perfect. They understand the importance of service.

It's hard to do business with a store that can't answer the phone because they've adopted an AI to answer calls. And because the AI can't really answer your question, it asks you to come to the store, or leave your email.

Large selection with beautiful plants, garden supplies, and pet food. I am thrilled with the lawn program. Now our lawn looks amazing. Tonight I ended up with some much stuff at the store that the employee was kind enough to carry out my lawn bag. Thanks Zamzows! You guys are great!

Wonderful service. Had some expensive shrubs die after transplant. Manager helped track down my order to issue a refund since the plants were no longer available for exchange. Manager and gal at front desk went above and beyond to help me. It was very much appreciated and I highly recommend this location!

Channon is a gem of human being. Her love for living beings is obvious. Her knowledge of plants, trees and how best to care for them is amazing.
I was planning to buy a shade tree to replace a sickly young dogwood tree. She talked me out of it and then gave me invaluable advice on how to care for and nurture this sick tree, give it all the support to make it thrive.
I’m so grateful for people like Sharon! Her genuineness and caring is what the world needs more of!

I’ve been coming here for the past year 1/2ish and I absolutely adore Clay and the conversation we have together. Clay and everyone else clearly knows their stuff and are willing to help in anyway, especially Clay.
Clay truly takes care of all the animals and make sure that owners are using high quality products and material. The facility along with management are all super friendly, professional, and knowledgeable about the business and definitely will be coming back again!!

Complete nightmare. Unprofessional, rude staff, and an infuriating excuse for a shopping experience. If you’re not going to sell the items in your store, put up a damn sign. Shontay (the so-called manager) was dismissive and condescending, she has no business in customer service. I left angry and disgusted. I will never return to this location. Ever.

Zamzows is a great local lawn & garden supply store with locations throughout the valley and a wide selection of standard and specialty products, with a bent towards environmentally friendly solutions.
Unfortunately, expertise seems to be slipping. The past two years when I've had a plant problem, I've taken a sample in for help with the diagnosis. Both times, Google Lens was popped open followed by, "it looks like it might be..." I'm all for technology, but I can do that, take a similar guess and then go to the big box and save a few bucks.

Thank you for giving us the greenest lawn to have ever had. Your lawn program is the best! Now we look like the neighbors who have used it for years.
Also that weed killer is awesome!

If you’re wanting to buy a feeder mouse for your snake just go to any other zamzows. Avoid the lady with a buzz cut and round glasses. I’ve always shopped as zamzows for my feeder mice but after this most recent visit I think I’ll drive the extra 15 minutes to just go to another store. The lady had a bad attitude right from the get go, told me they don’t sell African soft fur mice (which this store may not but others do) I told her my snake sometimes doesn’t like to eat regular mice and prefers those ones (we feed African soft fur as that is their natural prey in their natural environment) and she started lecturing me on how I should just feed frozen (my snake WILL NOT eat frozen) and how it’s traumatic for the mouse and all the stress it goes under when put in the tank just for it not to be eaten. Several times I actually had to interrupt her just to not be lectured. This has only happened twice where the snake simply would not eat it and when asked what do I do with the mice it will not eat I told her I let them go outside in the most ideal environment I can find for them (what else am I supposed to do with it? They don’t allow returns on mice) after saying this I was met with a scoffing “reaaalllyy?”
Listen, Zamzows is a great store and I have always always loved the people that work there. However after my most recent experience I will just go elsewhere.

Clay helped me select just the right pond plants for my water garden, today. Their passion and knowledge for aquatics really brightened my day 🪷

Best place and instructions to keep your lawn and trees and plants the best in the neighborhood. Very knowledgeable and helpful staff.

Been coming here for all my organic products including lawn care for decades. It's the best! I wish they carried 'build-a-soil' products but owell. As I picked up my recharger I was greeted with an awesome hello! Made me feel better as soon as I walked in. Then I noticed it....the Biorb! I bought the display Oct. 31st 2023 The ladies including the designer of this terra inside the orb were helpful in many ways. I was also helped very well by a knowledgeable guy for a yellowback dart frog to put in the ORB. The female frogs name has been given by my wife, who this whole thing is for. I was told this single frog has gotten rid of many of her friends/mates. So...FREYA. THANKS TO MY ZAMZOWS family again!!!!

Love Zamzow. Just a great local company with helpful knowledgeable team member. Michael helped me and really took the time to give me information on items I was curious about. This isn’t the first time he has helped me so I am ashamed I didn’t write a review sooner. Recommendations also weren’t pushy or like he was trying to sell me something. I bought a tree and got a bunch of good information about the law care program. I bought my 3 tree from there and the 3-2-1 based off his recommendation. Love local companies and it’s even better when they are ran like this operation. Customer for life. Excuse my terrible photo

I had a terrific experience at the Zamzows on Chinden! I needed straw for a nativity manger for a church program. Zamzows Associate, August and his co-workers helped me so kindly and got me all set up with straw. They were so kind and accommodating and helped me get it loaded. Excellent, kind, very generous service! I love Zamzows! I shop here often they always have such high quality plants and flowers and awesome staff like this visit!!
