Constraction reviews in Aurora, Illinois

We recently had our kitchen remodeled by J&J Construction, and we couldn’t be happier with the results. My wife and I wanted a modern all-white kitchen with new cabinets, quartz countertops, a stylish backsplash, and top-of-the-line WOLF appliances. J&J Construction came highly recommended by my brother, who had a fantastic experience with them during his sunroom addition project.

Our remodel was extensive, involving a complete redesign of the layout, relocating appliances, and expanding the island and cooktop area. From the start, Joe’s professionalism, consultative approach, and attention to detail impressed us. He quickly earned our trust through his hands on, open, transparency and honest style. Within a few weeks, he presented several design options, carefully explaining the pros and cons of each. After reviewing, we selected our preferred layout and signed the contract.

J&J began the project on time and even finished ahead of schedule. Throughout the process, Mason J&J’s construction lead on our project and their team were professional, courteous, and respectful of our privacy and comfort. They took extra care to protect our floors, cordoned off the construction zone, and cleaned not just the workspace but also the surrounding areas daily. Their attention to detail extended to using Buildertrend, a project management platform that gave us complete visibility into the schedule. We always knew which team member was coming and what work would be done each day. The platform also streamlined communication about materials, billing, and payments, making the entire process smooth and efficient.

Not only did J&J deliver a high-quality kitchen remodel, but they also exceeded our expectations by completing the job ahead of schedule. In an industry often plagued by delays and inconsistent workmanship, J&J truly stands out for their reliability and excellence.

We are more than happy to recommend J&J Construction to anyone considering a home renovation. Feel free to reach out if you’d like a 1:1 reference.

We went with J&J for our kitchen remodel, and it turned about absolutely fantastic.

Joe, Joey, and the rest of the crew did a very good job at making sure the entire process from start to finish goes as smoothly as possible. They also use the Buildertrend app to help with the remodel to keep everything organized on what's bought, what's needed, and to show you a detailed schedule of your entire remodel so no surprises come up.

I was very happy to have the work done by them and hope to do more in the future.

J&J remodeled our hallway bathroom and master bathroom at same time, the work was clean and on schedule. The new bathrooms with new tile, cabinets, bathtub, walk in shower, and LED lighted mirrors look amazing. The J&J team were clean and always left worksite organized and even had time to let our dog outside. Very pleased with craftmanship and professionalism of the whole team @ J&J, i would recommend them for any remodel or addition you may be planning.

Our home remodel with J&J was a great experience from start to finish. We never thought we would get through our project without long delays or unexpected costs, but J&J took care of everything within our timeline and budget. The owner and staff are friendly, professional, and attentive. We had two projects: remodeling a bathroom for accessibility and creating a new laundry room from underutilized space. There was a delay between booking our project and the start date, due to long waits for materials, but we appreciated that they did not start demo until they were ready to go. They quoted 6-8 weeks of work and finished in 8. The J&J staff person who did most of the work on our home was Mason. We were so impressed by the quality of his work and also how friendly and kind he is. We will definitely use J&J again in the future.

I highly recommend Chavez Construction for any Construction task no matter how big or small. For all roofing siding and gutters needs all interior as well as electrical they have done plenty of work for me. Fives stars across the board can't go wrong with them

I had an amazing experience working with Chavez Construction INC. They completely transformed my space by removing a wall, installing new flooring, and adding modern recessed lighting—and the results speak for themselves.

Before, the area felt closed off and outdated. After the renovation, the space feels open, brighter, and way more modern. The lighting especially made a huge difference and gave the whole room a clean, updated look.

The team was professional, efficient, and clearly knew what they were doing. They handled everything from demolition to finishing details, and the quality of the work really shows. The flooring came out beautiful and everything looks seamless.

Overall, I’m extremely happy with how everything turned out and would definitely recommend them to anyone looking to upgrade their home.

Gerardo was recommended to us by our realtor and he has been great! His work is stellar and his communication is timely. We will continue to rely on him for all projects at our home.

Gerardo is great to work with. Helped with all of our insurance and did a great job with numerous repairs for tornado damage. Helped communicate with insurance and made the process much easier for us. Job site was always neat and cleaned up at end of day. Will definitely be my first call for any type of work!!!

Excellent Construction Company – Highly Recommend!

I had a great experience working with Chavez Construction from start to finish. The team was professional, reliable, and very skilled at what they do. They communicated clearly throughout the entire project and made sure everything was completed on time and within budget.

The quality of their work really stood out. Every detail was handled with care, and you can tell they take pride in their craftsmanship. They kept the work area clean, stayed organized, and were always respectful and easy to work with.

If you’re looking for a trustworthy construction company that delivers high-quality results, I highly recommend them. I will definitely be using their services again in the future! 👷‍♂️🔨🏗️

I highly Recommended Chávez construcción, for any construction task you have from small to big they can do it all. From interior to exterior, Roofing to electrical jobs. I have hire them plenty of times very happy costumer as they are very professional on their work.

I’ve had a terrible experience with Rafael. My communication on the phone was great and he seemed to be very trustworthy. He was recommended to me by another contractor. We agreed on the work to be done at our condo in the city and I paid the deposit back in June. There was a miscommunication issue with the building engineer and he was not able to do the work the day he was scheduled. Ever since that I’ve tried to reschedule with no avail. I’ve requested several times for my deposit to be refunded and no answer what so ever. So now I’m out of almost 2 thousand dollars and no work done. It’s just infuriating

I’m so happy with how my bathroom turned out! After the flood, I was really stressed, but these guys made the whole repair process so easy. They installed a new vanity, put in beautiful floor tiles, and did all the drywall and painting. You can’t even tell there was water damage—the paint match is perfect. They were super professional and did a great job here in Aurora. If you need your bathroom fixed or remodeled, definitely call them!
