Best tree service I ever used very professional and affordable they have a customer for life

Got several quotes and Paul's was by far the lowest (less than half the other quotes I got). I was able to arrange everything via text and the whole process from first contact to job completion only took a couple weeks. His team worked efficiently and safely and did a great job. I highly recommend Paul / American Tree!

Paul was great to work with. I had several pine trees and tree debris from the tornadoes back in March and after getting multiple bids from well known tree companies around that all were very high and a long wait, I contacted Paul and he did the job for less than half of the other quotes. He and his team were out within a week to complete the job. Very impressed.

From start to finish, dealing with Paul and his crew was a great experience. From contacting Paul for a quote and all the way through job completion, communication was stellar. We had a very large (over 70ft tall) dead pin oak removed today and we couldn't be happier with the customer service and quality of the completed job. Paul and his crew went above and beyond for us and it's truly appreciated. We will be contacting them for other jobs in the near future. Highly recommend! Great job at a great price! A massive limb fell on my remodeled home.
I called 4 companies and American Tree in Belleville was the only one that got on the roof and showed me the extent of the damage. This helped tremendously with figuring out if I needed to file a claim with my insurance company.

Thorough (sent pic's of the damage from the roof)
Communication (talk/text to keep me in the loop)
Affordable (worked within my budget)

Con: … I haven't found any.

I filled out a jot form for American Tree for some trees I needed trimmed over my property the end of September and young man came the following Monday unannounced because he was already in the area. He was very nice, gave me an estimate and let me know that American Tree was one of the only two companies in the area that are fully insured in case something happens. I had a few more estimates come out and decided that I would go with American Tree. I needed the work done by November 11th for insurance purposes.

After some miscommunication on the dates, the owner, Paul was determined to make it right and his whole team went above and beyond to get the job done, clean up my yard and haul it all away in record time. They were all knowledgeable and super professional.

Paul Nathan and the guys did a fantastic job! Huge tree between 2 really close houses! Took it down in no time, dropped the 80+ foot trunk in a 10 foot opening between the garden and garage perfectly! Great price, great work, great friendly group of guys. A+ service!

Paul and his crew were absolutely the definition of professional. Not only did they do an expert job of falling a dead tree, grinding the stump, and cleaning up. But it was at a more than fair price. Could not recommend more and will be calling them again to handle another tree in the future.

This company did an outstanding job of removing my 35 foot tree. They were very professional and very careful to avoid any damage to our house or yard. Workers were amazingly polite and hard working. Their tractor leaked some oil on our street and they came back and cleaned it up. This was above and beyond expectation. You cannot tell they were ever here. The job they did grinding out the stump was first class. I am recommending American Tree to my neighbors who need this service. They are honest, professional, and highly skilled. It was a very positive experience!!

My husband and I cannot recommend this company highly enough. If you need any tree work done, you will not find any company more professional, thorough, efficient and courteous than AMERICAN TREE.
Not only did they expertly remove dozens of huge limbs from five of the 60-65 foot tall trees around our house, but they COMPLETELY picked up ALL of the branches and even went through the entire yard with leaf blowers afterwards to remove all the leaves, twigs and debris. One man worked yesterday from late afternoon until dark to trim some of the branches that were hanging low over the roof, and a crew of six came back early this morning and worked non-stop for 4.5 hours before moving on to another big job. Every one of the workers was polite, pleasant and professional. They went above and beyond by taking extra time for total yard clean-up, and honored their original quote, which was lower than next lowest bid we received and that bid had only included cutting the limbs, dropping them to the ground and leaving them all over the yard for us to cut, haul and clean up ourselves. At a time when customer service and satisfaction these days are often "not what they used to be," AMERICAN TREE stands tall and proud. Spread the word!

We called American Tree Doctor, early Friday morning, because our 7 month old kitten was stuck high up in a tree. They came before their scheduled work and rescued Buttercream. We are extremely grateful and will call them again for tree removal and tree planting.

BEWARE, this company will try to dig as deep in your pockets as they can. I honestly dont know how they have as many good reviews as they do. When we first reached out for a quote on tree removal (notably difficult placement/size) one of the owners came out and gave a verbal quote of $15k! I couldn't believe it. Within the same week we received a quote from a different company for $4k, and later that week we had a paper quote from Meurer Brothers for $5,200. This seemed much more in line so we thought the verbal was a mistake. Fast forward some months we are in the new year and I asked if the quote we received last year was still good or if they would need to re-quote. I was told it was good and made an email agreement to the quote to have us put on the schedule. Day before our tree was supposed to come down some issues popped up that I needed clarification on (the original owner who verbalized $15k last fall came out and was saying we should be charged at least $12k). Now I'm being told the previous quote was no good because it was a "winter quote" (there is no such thing, I have arborists in my family -- nice try though) and we would either have to get the tree taken down in the winter or get a new quote, presumably for the ridiculous price of $12k. Long story short, they are severely overcharging people in the area and will go back on their mistaken quotes ("because the guy was new") to try to get your money.

This business is great. We had a tree removed and a large tree branch removed/trimmed and brush removed (from some trees we pruned). They brought a whole team and took care of everything very well. It was fun watching them from the window- it appears that they had good teamwork. We will be using them again! (our neighbors also use them!)

They are the best!! They have the best equipment, very professional, polite workers. They arrived on time and removed a very large 100 year old oak tree that hung over house, air conditioner, fence, pool equipment etc. They removed tree unbelievably fast, left the area very clean and there was no damage to house or any property. On the same day they removed another dying oak tree and trimmed dead branches from another tree. They did everything fast and efficient and did a great job of cleaning up after themselves.
The next day their subcontractors came and removed the tree stumps, they also had great equipment, both workers were very professional and polite and cleaned up after themselves.
I would highly recommend Meurer Brothers for tree removal, tree trimming and stump removal. The only downside was the bill came today, even though the bill was quoted accurately, it was big!! But I just wrote their check and I truly believe you get what you pay for and I got exactly what I paid for and feel good about it!!

Had a GREAT quote to trim up 13 trees along my driveway, remove 1 dead one next to my garage, and do a health/maintenance pruning of my giant old magnolia tree in the back yard. They originally guesstimated it would be 10-12 weeks until completion, which I was OK with. Yesterday, they called to let me know they had a cancellation, and asked if I'd like to have my service moved up instead of waiting til August. HECK YEAH. Their crew were so professional and efficient. I work from home, and If I hadn't known they were coming, I'd have never known they were there. I can't believe they were done in less than 2 hours and left things cleaner than they found them. I wish I'd gotten their names so I could properly praise them.

The bucket truck operator was SO skillful in managing where branches were coming down, especially for the difficult to manage stuff around my garage. The human managing the fallen branches/leaves saw me peeping out my back door's window to check things out, and gave the cutest little point and thumbs up to check if I was happy with their work so far. And my magnolia looks so much healthier. I can't wait to see how it blooms next year. A++

I used Meurer Bros to clear some large branches that were hanging over my shed and carport.
The entire Staff, from initial contact through completion, is 100% professional. Shout out to Cheri, in the office, for great communication. The Work Crew was incredible. Not one twig was left behind.
I HIGHLY recommend that you call Meurer Brothers if you need any type of tree care.

Based off of reviews detailing how knowledgeable this company was, we decided to utilize them after getting trees assessed on our property. From start to finish, I was very happy with the services. I felt we got a fair and honest assessment on the trees condition, and therefore we're able to select services that would be best for us. Yes, we did have to wait a month or so because of their job schedule, but was notified of such so it was no problem and we were always kept in the loop. Both crews were amazing and so quick and efficient for both the tree removal and stump grinding portions. Took care of the surrounding yard and kudos to the crew who were able to work around the buried utilities on our property (I had been initially nervous on what our options were because of that). I swear, with their clean up of it all afterwards, the place looked great. You definitely get what you pay for going with these guys and would recommend them to anyone.

This group did great work! They were fast, safe, and cleaned up to where you wouldn’t even know they were there. The tree they trimmed looks fantastic. After you agree to having them come out and do the work it might take them a bit to call you and get you on the calendar, but please don’t let that deter you. I’m sure they’re busy due to the awesome work they provide.

I recently moved to Belleville, IL and wanted to trim back the trees from my new house. I was disappointed to find out that the tree trimmers I had used for years in St. Louis didn't work in Illinois. That's too bad because they were fabulous. Well, Meurer Brothers Tree Care has certainly made me feel at home. Their service is awesome! They performed all of the work while I was away and left the yard spotless. I was pleased with the level of trimming they performed, the reasonable price and their excellent clean up. They'll certainly be my new tree care family!
