They came to my home to evaluate the repair that needed to be done, gave an estimate of the repair 1-2 days later, and started the repair job the following week. The entire transaction was done with ease! I admire Second City’s exceptional customer service and relationship building from Ed, Dennis, Maggie, Robert, and Ramsey. Steve was pleasant to work with. He made the repair schedule easy and convenient. He worked well with our management co. Mario did a great job repairing the masonry around the base of our building. It was all cracked and crumbling in parts and when the work was done, it looked like new. Everyone was very pleased. I recommend their services.

I just want to start by saying, this is the most honest, flexible and through company that you can work to get a quote from, to getting the job done as promised. Starting by the main contact through their Work crew as well. This company is local and in the area, without having to wait "days" to have someone check out your property. Michael, Geo, Maggie, all have been amazing to work with, very informative and down to detail on everything that would be done for the repair and siding, what was done, and the customer service over the phone was just amazing, always friendly and helpful. Our home was damaged due to a car accident, after hassling with insurance claim, and other contractors, Michael and Geo came over to actually, inspect the damage, and definitely were our final resort to get our home repaired.

All was done, in a snap, fast, professionally, well done and detailed. Fast, Reliable, Trustworthy Company! would and will highly recommend Second City Roofing for any future repairs or anything that needs to be done at your home. The flexibility to get through the process was easy, nice and amazing people to talk too.

Overall we had a great experience! Josh was super easy to work with. We initially asked for a quote for tuckpointing for one side of our building, then added on some concrete work, and then additional tuckpointing. Despite the back and forth, Josh was never anything but pleasant. Our quotes were provided quickly and communication was always prompt. Pricing was very fair and work was skillful and completed on time. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Second City; these are now definitely our go to guys for our home and rental properties.

We’ve used Second City on two different projects and have been very pleased with their work, communication and timeliness. Our last project, we hired them for the roof, framing and building enclosure, and they - along with their subs - did great work. Would definitely hire them again and would recommend.

I have been doing business with Ed Baker for 35 years and believe him to be a man of the highest integrity, with fair prices and quality work. I recently called him when a shingle blew off my roof to examine the roof and repair the resulting “drip.” What followed was nothing short of amazing.

Three years ago I paid a tucking pointing company to rebuild my chimney. Second City discovered that the work had been poorly performed and in fact GARBAGE had been stuffed in my chimney before a terrible repair job was covered with a layer of mortar. They completely rebuilt the chimney for half the cost of the previously poorly performed work.

Needed a fence repair after wind damage. Francisco was able to fit us in very quickly and his father actually completed the repair at a very fair price. Wish I used this company from the start. They take their work seriously and are very professional!

These guys are superb. Great attention to client needs. They installed our cedar fence with metal posts and a beautiful metal gate with cedar boards. They came out right away to make a small adjustment on the gate. Great service!!

4/2/23 Update
After this review posted, Francisco contacted me and apologized for missing the appointment. We scheduled another date to meet and he arrived on time. He was very nice. We discussed the project. A few days later, I received an email with a high level description of the project and prices. I requested details on the product, he texted me a link to the mfg. I have not done the project, so can't opine on the work/product.

3/18/23 Called to request an estimate for a driveway gate. Spoke with Francisco. He scheduled an appointment for Monday, requested I text him with details (as he was driving). I texted details. He never showed up.

Wonderful family business, highly recommend!! They did such a fantastic job on our fence, built everything on site and customized to fit the uneven ground. Price was reasonable and finished a fully enclosed large yard with 3 gates in 2.5 days.

Francisco was very polite and courteous from providing me a quote to completing the project. They did a great job of removing an old chain link fence that had trees growing through it, repairing a missing gate, and adding on a new wood fence. They were very efficient, thoroughly cleaned up after themselves and were extremely affordable. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Just had Evanston Fencing put up a Vinyl fence in our backyard. They were super communicative, professional, and easy to work with. Fransisco was super clear with all the details and I never felt unsure of what was happening. I would highly recommend Evanston Fencing!
