Constraction reviews in Chicago, Illinois

After a botched job by another company, I called Samanco. From the time the initial appointment was made through the completion of the project everyone at Samanco performed with skill, care and professionalism. The job, a bedroom repair/remodel, was done in a timely manner, for a fair price and was exactly what I requested. Save yourself the headache and call Samanco first.
I continue to be impressed with Samanco Construction. My second experience confirmed that there is simply no reason to call anyone else. No matter the scope of the job, all at Samanco are time efficient and perform with skill and courtesy.

This summer, we were fortunate to have Dan and his staff remodel our kitchen. They did an impeccable job with the cabinetry, back splashes, counters, sinks, and fixed piping issues. Additionally, the painting they did and LED lights they installed are flawless. Furthermore, they were all professional and patient. And now, we have our dream kitchen! I highly recommend Samanco.

To start off, working with Dan was a nice experience. Responsive guy.

Said it would take two weeks and took six weeks to remodel a 5ft x 5ft bathroom

Based on the other good reviews I clearly got the bottom of the barrel guys.

His contractors are inexperienced and did a poor job remodeling my bathroom.

Installed the toilet without a ring so it was leaking
Installed my shower dial backwards
Yikes on the floor we’re uneven and grout crumbled after four months
Tiles in the shower are uneven
Caulking in the shower looks like someone jammed play dough into the corners
Tiles in the shower are uneven and you can see a clear 45 degree angle along the ceiling

It was my first remodeling experience and I clearly made a wrong decision. But Dan was nice and sent his inexperienced contractors back about 5-6 times to fix the toilet and shower. Still looks poor and I wish I rented some tools from Home Depot and did it myself.

Nice guy to work with even though the work is poor quality.

If you go through this firm, I highly recommend not paying until you’ve had a thorough inspection. I had to learn the hard way.

I worked with Samanco for a very small project for some ceiling repair from water damage. We had some scheduling issues which makes them 4 stars instead of 5, but overall once the project was complete, the quality was obvious. Dan worked with me to work out the scheduling issue, their estimate was WAY cheaper than anyone else and accurate, the ceiling looks great, and they finished the work quickly/efficiently. I would definitely work with them again.

I found Samanco after having a kitchen remodeling project started by a contractor that was recommended by a co-worker. After a terrible start just doing demolition he stopped showing up and became unreachable.
Luckily, after a friend told us about Samanco we were able to get Dan and Tommy out to look at our disaster. We had most of the materials and Dan and his crew moved us up on scheduling to help us out.
What a difference! The guys showed up every morning to work and took care to keep everything clean. We found a number of unknown issues as we progressed and all the changes were handled with very little stress or high costs. They also recommended additional touches that really made a big difference.
I am now cooking and entertaining in my beautiful new kitchen and will be having Samanco do our bathroom next year. I would highly recommend Samanco to anybody that wants to have any remodeling project.

Dan and his team have been great to work with. I would certainly reach out with future projects.

Used Samanco to do both my bathrooms and couldn’t be more pleased. Dan came in and had to completely redo the main bathroom after the original contractor had done a subpar job. The bathroom remodel was fantastic so I immediately had him do our second! I highly recommend.

Samanco recently remodeled our kitchen and did a fantastic job! We have worked with them on previous projects in the past and have found the team to be extremely professional. The contractor team including Robert always provides us with high quality results.

For this kitchen project we had a certain timeline in mind and were able to work with Dan to kick off the project earlier than expected and stayed within our schedule.

The construction team including Robert worked closely with us to ensure we were able to provide our input and gave us great ideas and options on how to best customize our kitchen to fit our needs.

We would highly recommend working with Samanco for any project whether large or small.

Dan and his crew have remodeled 2 bathrooms, a laundry room and a staircase for us over the past 6 years and we have always been very happy with the service and results. Dan is very honest and straightforward with pricing, outlines and adheres to the arranged schedule, communicates progress and is attentive to workmanship and details. Highly recommend for any project!

Working with Dan @ Samanco was a pleasure. He fit us in his schedule within a week (it’s is nearly impossible to find a contractor to work within a couple months these days). I was unable to be around for the construction — he was fantastic about picking up supplies, including tiles and fixtures, and coordinating the shower door installer. His quote was fair and accurate. I am very happy with outcome.

Couldn't recommend Dan and his crew highly enough. The team was courteous, professional, appropriately priced, and above all, delivered exceptional results. It's been 2.5 years since their original install, and the bathroom still looks as great as it did the day they left. Excellent work by this team and would absolutely hire again! Samanco has completed two projects for me and I could not be more satisfied. My kitchen is beautiful and my bedroom looks like it could be on tv. The workmanship is first rate. I really appreciated their promptness and I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone work so hard. There were no cost overruns in the kitchen and I approved a few small enhancements in the bedroom. Dan and Tomie always respond quickly to questions and they are enormously supportive. They are also a great source for ideas. I plan on hiring Samanco again to renovate my den and second bathroom.

We recently had the pleasure of working with Dan and his team (Pawel, Mirek, and Matt) at Samanco for our home remodel. We bought a new home that needed some love, and Samanco gutted and beautified our kitchen, 2 bathrooms, and family room. This was our first big construction project, and we had no idea what to expect going into it. We quoted out a few companies, and between Dan's price and customer service, Samanco was an easy decision.
Throughout construction, Dan kept me updated daily, and took his time explaining anything we didn't understand, which really helped to put our minds at ease.
Timeline was also a huge factor for us, as we were renting during construction. Samanco worked overtime and weekends to get us moved in as quickly as possible. We were blown away at how fast they got everything done - only 5 weeks from start to finish!
We've since officially moved in, and are SO happy with our home! HUGE thank you to Dan, Pawel, Mirek, and Matt for all your hard work! :)

There are no words to describe how grateful we are for all that Dan and his team did for us this past November. We are very fortunate to have found them and witness their hard & brilliant work with our Basement Renovation. They were always on time, very clean and efficient. Dan since day one provided his honest opinion and suggestions, including a list of what needed to be done to get us finished up. We were in an unfortunate situation and struggling through finding a contractor that was willing to help us out in completing what another contractor had left incomplete. Therefore, we will forever be grateful for all that Samanco did. They left our basement in pristine condition! After two years, we can finally enjoy our space! We will definitely use them again for any future projects and we strongly recommend them. Thank you Samanco!

Samanco helped me transform my bathroom from a shower stall to a high-end primary bathroom (before and after images attached). Dan reconfigured my closet and bathroom space to expand the shower, add an additional sink and include all the luxuries. He was extremely helpful in connecting me with quality suppliers including custom cabinets and beautiful quartz and tile. Pawel is a true craftsman and hard worker. Dan provided good advice and helpful options for our re-design and he is a trustworthy contractor that stuck to our agreed-upon budget and timeline. I would recommend Samanco any home remodeling upgrades.

This was my first time using Dan and his team at Samanco and I definitely will be adding them to my Favorites in my contacts. I remodeled my guest bathroom and the results turned out even better than my expectations. Dan's team worked diligently, quickly and their attention to detail is insane. I designed and sourced all the materials for my remodel myself so I can't speak to that aspect of their services but the execution of their work is flawless. This bathroom had a tub/shower combo but I converted it to just a walk-in shower. When they did the tear down they installed extra studs in the wall where the new glass door was gonna go. I'm pointing this out because I'm sure there are tons of ways to cut corners and get bids down to lower prices, but people, you get what you pay for. Sometimes I just stand in my bathroom and looks at all the tile. These cuts are precision and so amazing. Everything I asked for was executed perfectly. Dan was even able to bump up my project on his schedule. The team was clean, efficient and seriously I am super happy. When one of my neighbors thought there might be a leak associated with my remodel. The team didn't hesitate to try to remedy the situation. Just above and beyond. If you have a project this is the team to execute your dream.

Dan and his team of Jacob and Robert recently completed a gut remodel of our primary bathroom. As an architect, I was anxious to find a contractor who would be able to execute our vision well, while sticking to a schedule and budget. Being in the industry I know how difficult it is to find a reliable contractor. I’m extremely detail oriented and I know I was not the easiest client but am deeply happy with the job Dan and his team did. I came with drawings and a design and they executed it beautifully. He put together a comprehensive proposal when we started the job outlining the proposed cost and what was included. We ran into some strange plumbing and electrical during demo and Dan was open and honest about the rough cost and time addition. To make things more complicated we were expecting a baby so our timeline for the project was firm. Once the project commenced the team was on site daily until it was finished Dan’s team finished up on time and his final price for the extra work came in below his estimate. The results look fantastic and you can tell they really want to do the work right and want it to look nice when it is done. They really take pride in the work they do and it shows. I’ll definitely be using them again in the future and will recommend their services to others. Photos are before and after shots.

Rising development group had there bid in on time and we're able to assist use in making the best choices for our new office building. The expediter was able to get our plans approved early and Meir was able to break ground right away. The project is already 2 months ahead of projections.

Josh and his team have come to my rescue more than once. I live in a condo and have had water damage issues a couple of times from units above.

Josh and his team (including John) were quick to respond and easy to schedule with. Both jobs — drywall replacement and painting — were completed in less than two days. The quality of the work was excellent, and the pricing was very reasonable.

John, who handled the finishing work, does exceptional work. The cleanup after the job was also top-notch — couldn’t have asked for more.

Highly recommended.

Keep hitting my vehicle.
