Mr. Duct

I've consistently been impressed with the work from Mr Duct. The technician who repaired my heating system stood out - he was courteous, knowledgeable, and exceeded expectations. His professionalism is a testament to the company's commitment to excellent customer service. I wanted to ensure that management knew about his outstanding performance.

Mr Duct really delivered. Their innovative approach to fixing my quirky furnace issue was impressive. Since the service, my furnace has been working more efficiently and I've saved a substantial amount on what heating companies normally charge for similar work.

I hired Mr. Duct to fix my AC unit after it stopped working one day. They sent someone out to inspect the issue and found ice on the coils, which was a surprise to me since I hadn't noticed anything unusual. The technician said he needed to come back later to diagnose the problem once the ice had melted.

He returned a few hours later with an estimate for repairs, which included replacing the blower capacitor and adding more refrigerant. I agreed to the work and paid $700 for the service. However, about a week after the initial repair, my thermostat stopped working altogether. It turned out that the transformer, which is usually located near the AC unit, had been left on its metal base during the initial inspection.

The electrician who was working on an outlet in my garage at the time noticed the problem and told me that if I replaced the transformer, it should fix the issue. He even offered to install a new 24-volt transformer for $60, plus an additional $50 for labor. Given that Mr. Duct had recently done repairs at my house, I thought they might cover the cost of replacing the transformer since it was their mistake.

However, when the second repairman from Mr. Duct came to fix the issue, he claimed that the transformer hadn't been touched during the initial inspection, and that someone else must have caused the problem. This was clearly a lie, as I had watched the technician move the transformer while inspecting the unit.

Despite this, the supervisor told me that the repairman's story was true, and charged me $225 to replace the transformer. When I asked about the cost breakdown, he refused to provide any information, saying it was all bundled together. The second repairman, on the other hand, seemed understanding and even offered to do the job for free if he had been in charge.

What really bothered me was that Mr. Duct's management didn't seem to care about taking accountability for their mistakes. They were more interested in covering up the truth than in making things right with their customers. As a result, I have lost all trust in the company and would not recommend them to anyone else.
