Tree reviews in Chicago, Illinois

Phenomenal Tree Service was professional and did a great job trimming my tree. The team left the backyard, garage and alley clean, and took away all the debris. I was very impressed with the speed and thoroughness of the trimming, and the tree looks great. Overall, they were indeed phenomenal. I'll hire them again next time I need to trim my tree.

Hands down, Phenomenal Tree Service offers the absolute “best price” for “exceptional quality” vine and tree service. My needs were complex and required specialized expertise.

Phenomenal Tree’s owner (Eric Avila) was the only contractor who was confident, reassuring and decisive out of 3 contractors I’d met with. Eric knew precisely how to remove vine overgrowth encasing my home, how to avoid compromising the integrity of my home’s structure and how to prevent re-growth.

Most impressive was Eric’s team of certified arborists and tree care professionals. They arrived 15 min early for an 8:30 am appointment with a huge truck, replete with high tech equipment, as if they were part of the U.S. army corp of engineers!

Special thanks to the technical team — Jaime, Jose and Borjas — who were kind, fast, efficient, thoughtful. They exceeded my expectations. The overgrowth removal was meticulous. The cleanup was incredible - no bags, no vines, no tree stumps — not a trace of rubbish!!

Phenomenal Tree is licensed, bonded, insured. accredited by the Better Business Bureau with an A+ 5/5 star BBB rating. Special thanks to Ms. Rosie who answered initial questions and scheduled my appointment. Her resourcefulness and genuine kindness is what influenced my decision to work with Phenomenal Tree!

I contacted Phenomenal Tree Service and they responded very quickly. Eric was great to deal with and very responsive. The team arrived the next morning on time. The three gentlemen were Leo, Antonio and Carlos. They were all very polite, kind, professional and respectful to my wife and I. They worked very quickly and the clean up was flawless. It’s so refreshing to finally deal with a company that gives good service. A+ all around. I will be recommending them to my neighbors. Thanks again for your great service.

I’ve used Phenomenal Tree Service twice and each time they did a PHENOMENAL job! They show up when promised, get the job done and be on their way!
Eric is the best! He’s a man of his word. He and his team Delivers! I’m happy to refer my friends, family and neighbors to Phenomenal Tree Service because their reputation for great service and professionalism is always on display! Another very satisfied client!
It’s now 2023 and we’ve just used Phenomenal Tree Service a third time. And again I have a glowing review of the beautiful job they did from start to finish!

Highly recommended. They cut down a 50+ foot tree in front of our house without a hitch. Excellent company to work with.

Excellent tree service!

My husband and I bought our house in Evergreen Park last year. Shortly after we moved in, we noticed our ash trees weren't doing so great. It also became very clear that the previous owners did nothing to maintain the health, appearance, and integrity of the property.

Everyone who came by said they were infected and would eventually have to come down. Phenomenal was the only tree service that 1) knew what kind of trees were on our property 2) offered to help us maintain all the trees and help us avoid damaging our buildings 3) had equipment available 4) Gave us a great price for everything 5) bothered to follow up after consultation 6) managed our expectations

The crew showed up on-time for our job and were extremely efficient with their work. Mike, the Foreman, was friendly, professional and helpful. We could not be happier. Thank you again, Eric!

Did a fantastic job! Extremely communicative, prompt, and efficient. The crew knew exactly how to make everything look great! Were located in Skokie. Would recommend!

Eric and his team did a great job in handling my request. This particular tree was Norway maple tree and it was a very tough tree to scale. But I was thoroughly impressed by the way the guys scale up the tree and did the job. Very professional! I highly recommend phenomenal tree services!!

We had an excellent experience with Phenomenal Tree Service! Eric came out and gave us an estimate on the spot and the work was done the following day. We had a huge project of trimming some extremely large, old trees in our yard. The crews and leader Mike arrived on time and were professional and extremely hard working all day. They cleaned up and left our yard looking spotless. I would highly recommend them for all of your tree needs!

Highly recommended Eric and the Phenomenal Tree Service crew! They removed a giant silver maple in my son’s backyard, and I was so impressed with how professional and thorough they handled the job. We considered several tree services and Eric was willing to negotiate with us. We are so pleased with the results!

Watched this company do a drop-off this morning in Evanston and I have seen a more useless crew in my life. First they could barely get in the space they were doing a drop-off at. Then they tried leaving with the box up and hit some wires. When they realized what situation they were in they just plowed on taking down a few wires with the raised box. After they realized what they did they just tried to hide the broken wires behind a garage and drove off. If you use them watch every move they make they seem to be majorly useless. And after they dropped their load and got the box down it was noticed that there were still 2 cubic yards of material in the box they did not deliver. I suggest using someone else. Wish I could leave zero stars.

Fantastic crew and excellent service by Eric and Angie! Very fair price, and exceeded expectations on all levels: communication, timeliness, execution, tidiness, easy to work with, and great end results!

Phenomenal Tree Service is a fantastic team to work with. Eric's team is professional, careful, and quick in their work. I cannot recommend them enough!

Phenomenal Tree Service (PTS) conducted phenomenal work at a fair and reasonable price. The crew was efficient and productive and exceeded my expectations in terms of scope of work. Eric responded quickly to my request for quote and after agreement, the trimming crew arrived same day within hours to start the job.

They did a great job and very quickly took down the trees in my yard and stumps. Great work.

Absolutely would recommend. Eric was professional and promptly responded to my request. The crew showed up early and took care of business. My tree was down with no hiccups in less than 2 1/2 hours. The crew cleaned up and took away all the debris . 5 stars across the board !

I cannot speak highly enough about Eric and his team! We called on a Thursday for a tree removal and trimming of another and within 24 hours, we received a fair quote, and had the service completed! And, this particular job was fairly challenging as we are a building in Chicago and our backyard has no street or alley access, so the guys had to do everything by hand with no assistance with lifts or booms. Truly amazed watching them scale the trees and remove all wood in a cleanly manner.

Overall, I cannot thank them enough for the prompt response and over the top service. Keep up the great work guys!

Had an appointment scheduled with Eric to remove a tree, he was punctual and courteous and he beat my other estimate. I'm looking forward to working with this company and will update my post once service is completed.

UPDATE 7/10/23
I give this business a 5 star EVERYONE I encounter was professional and friendly. They really exceeded my expectations! We had one mulberry tree to be removed and they cut that tree down so fast I was in awe. They cleaned up everything from my neighbors yard as well as mine. They grinded the stump so low that you don’t know a tree was ever there. They had to remove some of my neighbors fence to grind but they put it back exactly as it was.I would DEFINITELY Recommend.

Eric and his team were amazing. They were very professional, attentive, and provided great customer service. They did not waste time. They arrived at the scheduled time and safely removed our huge tree without any incidents. It was amazing to watch how well organized his team worked together. They really do offer Phenomenal Tree service. Highly recommend!!

Eric and crew were prompt and did great work. They cleaned up the yard and put everything back. I would highly recommend them for tree services. Very fairly priced!

Eric and his team were awesome. Quick response, quick scheduling, quick and thorough service. They showed up on a cold and day when the equipment was too big to access the yard, they took down a fence and built it back together when the job was finished. The results were great. Awesome team and very friendly. Highly recommend PTS for any tree-related job!
