My wife and I purchased our very first home this past September and we needed a complete overhaul of our lawn. We needed existing grass removed, land leveled, underground drainage installed, new sod laid, etc.

We were recommended to Marty’s Landscaping, and we have no clue why…they should not be in the landscaping business. They have ruined our home, and what should be one of the most enjoyable experiences in our lives. We spent a good deal of money with them, and it has all been a waste. We no longer can move forward with other projects to make our first home ours, we now have to spend our savings to fix what they have done.

The only positive is that they were quick to come out for a free estimate. That is it, no other positives.

Horrible, horrible, horrible communication. We were eager to have this start but we were left wondering when. They are terrible with returning phone calls, so we were just left in the unknown. When they finally did show, they didn’t not communicate a timeline of the project. As time progressed the yard started to take shape. They didn’t show for a few days so we had to call multiple times to ask if they thought they were finished, as there were areas that still needed attended to. Finally we got to assume it was finished, as it appeared the new sod was laid everywhere.

This is our first home, our first lawn, and they gave us no advice or direction from here. Only one time during this process did they reach out with any semblance of advice, and it was to ask if we could water the different areas of the lawn for 20 minutes each this particular night. When a customer pays as much as they do for this type of service, you would think they would invest in some customer service skills. They did say they would be out twice over the first 30 days to maintain the lawn by mowing, edging, etc., how nice. They still have not showed and it has been two weeks since completion.

We had received quite a bit of rain during this process, but we noticed the new sod had turned brown within 2 days of job completion. We called several times before getting a call back, and let them know about this. It is clearly unacceptable to pay for a complete overhaul of a lawn and have the grass go dead after 2 days. Marty said it could be that the sod is not attaching, not enough dirt, etc. It took several back and forth attempts before finally someone apparently came over to check the situation. My wife and I both work during the day, so we are typically not around for anything that has been happening in our yard. They could clearly see something was wrong, as 75% or more of yard showed partial browning or looked completely dead. They told us not to worry and that they would take care of it, they had to talk with the supplier of the sod.

Did I mention that we already had paid cash for this job? There was no incentive for Marty to make things right, and it took over a week for someone to come out from the supplier. No communication on Marty’s end during this time, we were left calling every day for status updates.

Well, supposedly the supplier came out and said that the sod was fine. The sod used for the next two jobs after ours was fine. Well, as you can see from the pictures I attached, the sod is not fine. Something is clearly wrong as we have paid for a dead lawn. Our yard was in terrible shape before this process started, but it looked better than this. We are now left being told to water the yard for the next week and see what happens.

The amount of stress caused by this company, lost savings, time, etc., we feel completely ripped off and vulnerable. I under no circumstances would ever recommend Marty’s Landscaping to anyone, and I wish we never were. Hopefully this review and the complaint filed with the Better Business Bureau, will give others a chance to avoid them at all costs.

Cut my grass one time and charged me 240 dollars. Stay away from this company at all cost. Extremely unprofessional.

Alfredo's landscaping is incredibly difficult to nail down dates and schedules. They either call as they are on their way or just show up without warning expecting you to drop everything to work around them. I highly recommend you looking to other landscaping companies.

What started out as a great experience turned sour rather quickly. We signed a contract for a service to install sod at our home and paid the deposit. A couple of weeks later we got a call saying they’d have to move the service date.

The day before the service date I spent all day trying to get in touch to find out if the service would still be happening, only to find out that it wouldn’t. We were offered a refund or an amount off of the service but at that point I no longer believed the service would happen at all, so we went with the refund.

A month later-still no refund. We paid via Zelle and I’ve had to file a police report as well as a claim with my bank to try to recover funds. So NOT do business with this super shady company!

AN Lopez Landscaping did a great and thorough job of fall cleaning in my yard. The beds had not been touched for over a year with lots of weeds and no edging. The crew transformed the yard quickly and efficiently!

This Landscaping Company is great, they are not only servicing my home but my business as well. Very reasonably priced, always on time and they not only do the grass cutting and maintaining your lawn but also they do retaining walls and paver patios. They all did that for me. Highly recommended 👍👍👍

(6 Died, and we had to remove them ourselves)

The first impression we thought was good.

Later noticed the stumps that were paid for to be grinded down were hidden under the mulch.
We I called to have this corrected, but they never answered or replied.

Not recommended 😕.

Efficient, reasonable, high quality and a great team. Do not hesitate to give these guys a call for any landscaping needs. Had my spring cleanup done on over an acre of land and these guys went above and beyond to get the job done. Will continue to have this team back year over year.

I have been using Lopez landscaping for spring cleanup and mulching for few years now. They are always friendly and do excellent job. Their prices are reasonable too.

This winter I used them for snow removal as well. Highly recommend.

Wow!! I wish I would have taken before and after pictures, our yard was a disaster, covered with leaves, sticks and looking shabby. These guys did an incredible job with Fall clean up. Super professional, on time and fair price. I will definitely use them again!

Armando responded quickly to give us an estimate for removing landscape blocks, rototilling and placing sod. He was able to begin work immediately. We are very happy with his work and reasonable price.

This Company does a phenomenal job with Landscaping and outdoor hardwood designs. I’m so pleased with the work they have done to my home. They have enhanced the view and have maintained all my planting which now I don’t have to ever worry as they keep my yard looking amazing as well with the front of my home.

We have been using AN Lopez for about 3 years now for our landscaping and paving needs. He is very professional and always comes through with a sensible idea for what needs to be done and at a reasonable price. He has never nicked and dimed us. We used another landscaper prior to who just plain out lied to us every chance he could, you’ll never get that from Armando. We highly recommend using AN Lopez.
