They replaced the panel and ran a dedicated 240v line for the EV charger we just got. The thing I keep noticing is how clean the conduit run looks along the basement ceiling, it follows the joists perfectly and you'd think it was always part of the house. Even labeled every single breaker which our old panel definitely did not have going on.

Had Amp-Tech out to handle a handful of electrical things that had been piling up on our to-do list. The main reason was adding a couple of dedicated circuits in the basement since we kept tripping the breaker down there whenever too many things were running. They also swapped out a bunch of old two-prong outlets upstairs for grounded ones, which was long overdue. The electrician was pretty methodical about everything. He spent time at the panel mapping things out before starting any work, which I appreciated because the previous owner had left the labeling in rough shape. He actually re-labeled the whole panel while he was in there. One thing I noticed is they were careful about not cutting unnecessary holes in the drywall. Only had to patch two small spots which saved me a headache on the finishing side. The pricing was itemized on the invoice so I could see what each piece of work cost, and nothing on there surprised me compared to the original estimate. Solid group to work with for residential electrical stuff.

Our kitchen lights had been flickering on and off for a couple months, mostly when the microwave was running. Figured it was a loose connection somewhere but didn't want to mess with it myself. Amp-Tech came out and traced it back to an overloaded circuit that was feeding way too many things off one breaker. They ran a separate circuit for the kitchen appliances and replaced a worn outlet that was part of the issue. No more flickering, and the microwave doesn't dim half the kitchen anymore. Pretty straightforward fix.
