Appliance Repair reviews in Fairview Heights, Illinois

Tim Senior Tech is great! He is very professional knowledgeable and courteous. He makes sure to explain what’s really happening and if he can actually repair your appliance. Even though my overall experience with Sears has been a Nightmare and very frustrating working with Tim to resolve the matter has helped! He did fix my refrigerator after 7 weeks of being broke!

Carl was very courteous and professional. I explained what was happening and he knew exactly what to do to correct the problem. .The only problem with this company is that you never talk to a live person. Everything is done on line. The address they list is for the old Sears building. The first appointment was canceled and I did not receive a call explaining why it was canceled. That goes with not being able to talk to anyone.

I purchased my dryer from Best Buy and when I was using it it smelled like something was on fire or there was an electrical problem. The dryer was still under warranty so I called Best Buy and they arranged for a service man from the Sears repair service. I was notified multiple times via texts and e-mails about my appointment. Doug R., the repairman, assigned to my case arrived on time and was friendly and knowledgeable. He checked the vents, interrior of the dryer and removed the top so he could see the drum. He discovered that the dyer was working fine but the 30 Amp wall receptacle that the dryer was plugged into was faulty. So the good news was that my dryer was fine but the bad news was I needed an electrician to replace the receptacle and plug. Doug shut off the circuit breaker to the dryer so there would be no chance of fire. I can highly recommend Doug as a great repair person and diagnostician.

This is the worst customer service ever. Called 5 times, had an appointment and the tech was a no show even after taking off work. Do yourself a favor and do not use this company. They know very little English and read from a script. Everytime you call you verify the same info each time and it is no sir yes sir etc. Literally reading from a script with no help. No wonder sears went out of business. Stop hiring call centers utside the US. Use American call centers so they understand what you need and can help the customer.

While my Samsung refrigerator may be no good, Douglas' service call was A++!

Joshua was prompt, friendly, professional, very knowledgeable and diagnosed our washers issue quickly. It turned out to be a plumbing problem not the washer which concludes what I already knew - Kenmore appliances are well made and dependable. While he was here, he gave the washer some TLC and everyone needs TLC from time to time, even an inanimate object. Thanks!

I appreciate Robert for texting me of his expected time of arrival. He installed the new heating unit for my dryer and confirmed it works well. I also appreciate him for being courteous, diligent and thorough.

The process started in early August and took until today to possibly fix the ice maker problem. Your way of troubleshooting a problem from a chat with a person at a computer with no experience with refrigeration is abysmal. A service tech should be sent out to troubleshoot the problem and order parts for the repair. 2 1/2 months to do the service is beyond necessary.

In and out in less than 45 minutes.
Including the repair. Nice!! -
Doug communicated well regarding arrival time and the issue he found with our refrigerator. We appreciated his thorough evaluation.

Called them and discussed issue. Instead of being honest and saying they were unable to provide same day service they lied. Spent 15 minutes on the phone with a guy trying to sell me a warranty. I sent the info via text for the dryer needing repaired. Never heard from them the remainder of the day. After calling to ensure my appointment was scheduled, I sit on hold for over 20 minutes. I used another phone to call and they picked up right away. They told me they were going to transfer my call to another department. After another 20 minutes on hold I hung up. Unprofessional and no common courtesy for people who are taking a day away from work. No update or a courtesy call to reschedule. Ridiculous in my opinion

Repairmen we're great. None of the following was their fault. Company, however was absolutely horrible. Constantly scheduled me for the last appointment of the day and then don't show up. No notification. Just don't show or keep pushing my times out until the end of the day until its cancelled. This happened 4-5 times in a row over the course of 2.5 months. Apparently, first time warranty calls get first priority, those with cash get second and those with parts are dead last. Worst still, you cannot directly contact the company. Takes you in an endless automated customer service circle... infuriating. They could care less you work for a living and taking time off impacts your job. Abysmal experience all around. If I could give 0 stars I would. Never ever ever do business with Sears service. F-

The repairman did a quick job at replacing the latch receptacle on my Kenmore front load washer. Sears, though, really gouged me on the cost of the plastic piece that the man replaced, charging me $156.13 plus $9.76 tax. On Sears Parts Direct the part costs $110.66; it is $61.84 on Warehouses Overstock. The $165.89 part was in addition to $299.95 for a few minutes of labor on a 20-year-old machine. I tried to get a couple local appliance repair companies to do the work but they declined, forcing me to use Sears. Yes, it was cheaper than buying a new machine, but Sears needs to be more reasonable cost-wise for it to be a customer's first choice to call for repairs.

Very nice experience. Was on time and was very efficient in his job. Was good experience.

The person who came to look at my AC was a slob! Belly hanging out buttons popped on his shirt. Honestly, horrible took things out of my AC then took pictures of the parts outside the AC. The worst experience!

I have had nothing but a horrible experience with this company. They came for my original appointment and said they had to order the part. Once the part came and they were scheduled to install it, they never showed up. It took 3 weeks after that to get scheduled again. I was not available for the date they automatically scheduled so I used their system to reschedule. They still tried to show up for the day that was rescheduled. There is no way to speak with a live person when you call them and they never call you when contacted. Horrible, horrible, horrible.

Once he got here, he fixed my ice machine quickly. Was very friendly.

What does how much I paid for my washer/dryer gave anything to co with a survey about the service provided by Doug. Doug was absolutely great. Period

Waited over 8hours for someone to come look at my washer and no one showed up.

Worst place to get a repair. They keep canceling my appointment, which is putting me one month without a refrigerator now. The parts have been sitting at my house for three days after they initially came the first time. This is the worst place ever go somewhere else and save you time. You also can never talk to anyone they put you on a roller coaster ride to get anywhere. I cannot be more disgusted with this place..

The technician was great. The process to get
Our appliance repaired was not. I had an appt, someone waited at my house all day, and nobody showed, and no cancellation call or
text. I had to call while on vacation in Mexico and spent almost 2 hours in my vacation, along with phone charges, trying to reschedule, but was never able to. Finally reached someone after we returned. It took a month to finally get someone here.
