We had Ovi and Bartusz handle a full panel replacement in our condo to accommodate a brand new Eco Smart ECO18 tankless water heater. I went through literally almost a dozen other electrical companies that either quoted too high, never responded to a quote request, or fell off the map once I wanted to engage services. Nevertheless, Current Electric came recommended by someone from Effective Air HVAC in Glenview -- another great firm.

I've attached a photo of the actual final results of where our water tank used to sit, which is now a clean, simple tankless setup with two 40 amp feeds which they fed through existing conduit in-wall --- all other firms said it COULDN'T be done. Well they proved them wrong.

VERY Happy with the results and we love the new tankless. Never going back to a tank. But please ask for Ovi and Bartusz by name if you need service. These guys were professional, answered all questions, and finished all of their work in a day and a half - as promised! Yes Current Electric will cost you more than the handyman down the block but they stand behind their work and provide excellent expertise which, when it comes to your hot water needs, can't be messed with.

Having them come back for moving a light switch in our laundry room very soon as a result of the great service on my first engagement with them.

Recent service and electrical repair work from Eric at Current Electric was excellent. He was efficient, explained what was needed and why, gave us very practical options and in the end, fully managed and repaired all the electrical problems in our 100 year old house! This crew is amazing! From the first point of contact to the last, they always made sure we understood the issues, possible solutions, basic electrical knowledge, and costs. They shared ideas on how to reduce costs, which is always appreciated. Punctual. They arrived when they said they would each day. Shared what they were focused on for the day and where they left off. When they were done, it was like they were never here. I can't say enough, we truly enjoyed their expertise and service!

We had Current come out to address a few things in the 120-year-old house we just bought. They were awesome! Smart, careful, skilled. They did some things we hadn’t even asked for because, to them, it made sense to do it. I feel fortunate to have had them referred to us!

Just an update: Current was back this week to do some additional work on a new project. My experience was exactly the same: these guys are great! Right on time, smart, efficient, polite, thoughtful. As a homeowner, it is a real luxury to have contractors you can trust, and for electrical work, these guys are the best.

We had Current install three vintage chandeliers in our home. Not only was the install done perfectly, but they were clean, respectful, and professional. The best part is that Jim gave me a spot on estimate of how long it would take. No surprise charges, just excellent work. Highly recommend.

Current Electric is awesome, they do great work and I highly recommend them, especially if doing an electric charger for your Tesla. My panel was maxed out with 100 amps, had them upgrade to 200 amps, they did such a clean job and made sure codes were followed for the village. Their high attention to detail to make sure everything had a clean look is key to a great company! I would totally recommend them and would hire them again in a heart beat!

Recently we moved into our new house (99 years old). We needed checks of existing power outlets, replacement of several ceiling fixtures (including some light/fan combos), replacement of outdated gfci outlets, update of incorrectly weird power outlets (neutral/ground messed up) etc. Hank from Current Electric did an outstanding job, did all the jobs we asked for and consulted us on all the little thins a 99 year old house requires to stay up to date. We couldn’t be happier. We look forward to seeing him soon again, as we plan some additional electrical work for our attic (better light) and a 220V conduit/power outlet for my woodworking hobby. We might add as well a surge protector - recommended by Hank - to the main electrical panel to keep the house in good shape for the coming years.

We decided on Current Electrical because they were a recommended vendor in our condo and their online reviews were great. We are so happy with our decision! Paul and Derek arrived promptly at 8am and were patient with us as we worked out some parking issues. Once they got into the unit they immediately went to work and crushed the entire project in 2.5 hours. They replaced some older track lighting in multiple rooms and raised a chandelier. They were professional, courteous, and efficient. Will recommend and absolutely use CEC again.

Steve did a great job adding my EV charger and since we have an old house with a weird panel location he got creative and trenched outside to get to the garage rather than tearing up the ceiling inside. It worked perfect. He is also one of the most methodical and organized people I have seen work. I am very happy with the work and his professionalism.
